I find the more videos I watch when it comes to courses and webinars and such as the professional who is teaching people how to do these things seems like they’re mostly teaching people who are teaching other people how to make money and that’s how they become so successful, but for those of us who are providing a service like a therapist it just doesn’t seem as easy to make the profit that someone who is teaching people how to build a business or something related to business is.
So darn good! Jay’s sequence of questions are always the ones that I am wondering about too. This woman is a force! Thank you Jay. Excellent guest once again.
Did i miss something??? I didn’t hear anything about the secret to selling 10k offers without sales calls. And before anyone asks - yes, I listened to every word.
What I heard was 1- charge more and do less.example don't give lifetime access. 2.be firm with your clients.don't be their mama. 3.they must enroll 4. None of the content is live except the first class and that's optonal 5.do weekly calls 6-the rest of the classes are self paced.
Yep, I didn't hear it either. In fact, what I heard is that she already had a community following her where she also sells cheap courses. She just has a long time doing it
I nornamlly dont comment but Mariah Coz has been my biggest inspiration in creating a blog and getting started with a website and creating a course for the early years of her growing!! If you havent listened to her podcast or read her blogs on her website it’s a must!!! She provides so much value that you can listen to the same podcast episode over and over again and still get value! Even her past courses were insane! Thank you for this podcast episode! She is gold and I am so happy she is getting more attention. She is a pro in what she does! 😎🎉
Big fan of your content Jay! I really like how most of your guests provide a ton of value and do a bit of self promoting. This episode, respectfully, was the complete opposite. It felt like just a 50 minute ad.
Hey Jay - I know how tough it can be to get engagement and comments on content! I just wanted to let you know this was a fantastic episode-I’ve shared it with a bunch of coaches I know too! Keep up the amazing work brother!
The thought process I have a difficult time with here is the shift from low value + large audience to high value + small audience...Mariah said herself that she made less money when she made this switch but it also sounds like it required way more touchpoints, communications, and logistics. In todays day and age I don't think many course creators can make that switch knowing how much more of a time commitment that would be...not to mention for less money. That move confused me...because the lower ticket less touch can scale into infinity but the high touch one can't unless you also scale your systems accordingly. Wouldn't the increase in infrastructure cost negate any extra income from the increase in price?
It is easy to fall in love with Mariah Coz's spirit. ( That's actually called infatuation...but love seems like a larger compliment) tHanks for the video
This episode was killer Jay. I've been doing courses for 8 years now. I've been trying to decide the best model going forward because I want people to achieve a result. What I've found is that many will buy the course, but never complete it. Or worse, never implement it. This episode gave me much to think about.
I appreciate the insights about why time pressure is necessary to both close sales and ensure client success. I respect what Mariah has built but high ticket offers would clash with my desire to remain accessible to as large of an audience as possible.
46:29 at this point I realised she did not yet understand how permission/attraction marketing works & the long term win on social media actually is. Seth Godin would throw this out haha
The beginning info was on selling high ticket courses without sales calls and there is zero information on doing that ! Just hyper surface level talking about her business.
Yeah, bummer. I’ve seen a few ways to sell HT without calls though… usually via ascension (low ticket front end with the higher ticket backend), or mini workshops that are low ticket ($7-97) and seed a higher ticket offer, and/or moving the sales calls to chat or SMS
Can someone answer this question: if you have a digital product to sell, how can you keep people from buying your product and then start selling it on their platform or just sharing it with others
you can't really - it's like asking how a clothing manufacturer stops people ripping off their designs - and they can't, especially on a worldwide scale... unfortunately. You can do certain things to protect yourself though, like watermarking docs, or having links in the text on PDFs. As far as videos go, same really, but it is hard to safeguard your content absolutely... just life really, but don't let it stop you making progress!
The biggest insight for me starting out was to NOT include Lifetime access! That is super helpful, thank you!
I agree with this sentiment - don’t do it!

I love the fact that I was looking at your dog (5:53), and you decided to casually drop the name.
Other than that, awesome episode!
The people have to know about Ted.
So darn good! Jay’s sequence of questions are always the ones that I am wondering about too. This woman is a force! Thank you Jay. Excellent guest once again.
Mariah is such a badass. Thanks for tuning in so early, Jen!
One of the best podcast episodes I've ever seen! Thank u Jay
I appreciate that Esteban!!
Awesome episode. Love hearing that we don't have to constantly be creating content for forever.
Such a relief!
Glad you enjoyed it Charles!

It happens to me all the time 😅
Yep, I didn't hear it either.

I love Mariah’s approach and considered views.
Easily my favorite of the episodes you’ve made.
Boom! love to hear that!
Because you're a sociopath

Great stuff Mariah and excellent questions, Jay! (Especially glad you asked her to clarify how new customers enter into the rolling program).
yaaaas glad you enjoyed it Matt!

She's a liar. Don't listen to her scams. Jay is paid so shill these scammers because he has no ethics
Dude just came across your channel recently. Definitely a gem! Keep up the good work!!
Great Content, Jay! Thank you.
This channel will be huge some day. Lots of great info. Just keep going.
No plans to slow down!! Thanks for being here!
Her course doesn't seem available anymore. Is there another way I can learn to make high-ticket sales without a sales call?
Great questions Jay and thanks for the open, direct answers Mariah
Thanks for watching Paul!

Great Interview Jay! I didn't want to miss this episode.
Thanks for watching, Steven!
This was extremely valuable as a new course creator struggling with how to manage cohort vs evergreen. Thanks Jay!
Glad it was helpful!
SUPERB! THANK YOU BOTH! Wow.

Great reflections, Andrew! So glad to hear it can spur some positive thinking.

Great episode! Thinking about how I can apply this all to my business. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I love your interviews, they're awesome
Another great session! Thanks! J
Thanks for watching!
great content. Thanks
Nice conversation... but she never told us how she consistently gets clients... ads? 😅

👏great content guys
Great content… I’m a first timer but Dude I know , YOU KNOW, who you look like 😆 new subscriber 💪🏾 #kingofqueens
Omg! She is describing me perfectly- obsessive until bored.
is she using kajabi to manage her programs?
Ok now I need to know what band!
We tried really hard to dig this up in post production and we’re unsuccessful haha let me reach out to Mariah
Excellent...
What is the reason that you haven't start uploading videos to youtube immediately in comparison to Spotify and Apple podcasts?
Sh🌸t. No empty gauge… touched the stove. Literally burnt my hand yesterday AND opened a door into my toe … and kept going but feeling the cliff…

What was she selling
This should have been a 15-20 min ep, max. Insane amount of fluff.
And bragging. Still can’t understand what the secret is.
For me, the useful content started at about 46:00
@@jerryoverton7037lol, just saw this comment @26 minutes. Ugh! I was ready to move on, guess I’ll stick around. 😊
Just fluff... Most people who understand how business works will tell you that this episode doesn't have any meat in it.
Yep - its just a bunch of ADHD bragging with no substance.
Man, her personality sounds like mine to the T
overpriced product by an uninterested "coach"/scammer
6:03 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
let's gooooo 🫡
