    I sometimes get super nervous right before making cold calls. Mainly I fear coming across as desperate for business, but I do think that approaching these types of calls from the perspective of service helps the entire tone of conversation stay genuine.

    This is genius advice. If you're ignoring this video you're doing yourself a disservice. Believe in yourself, believe in your product and take the time to get to know your customers. When you know them you can serve them and be of value to them.

    I have to be honest, I just think that most customers would be put off by this. Around my area most people would be perturbed by this strategy. Most people don't want to be tracked on this level.

      The key here is that you are providing a service - NOT being a creepy stalker 😉 And remember that if you have their contact information, it's because they gave it to you - They want to know what's happening in your store. Those who prefer not to, won't sign up for your rewards programs or email list etc.
