- How to replace diverter valve on a Vaillant Eco tec boiler step by step
This video is for GAS SAFE ENGINEERS only, always follow manufacturer instructions.
Before to start any work on gas appliance isolate the power, turn off the gas and the waters.
Dripping diverter valve
1. Download manual

2. Remove front cover
3. Isolate the flow and return valves
4. Drain the boiler
5. Isolate cold water
6. Undo return valve nut
7. Leave open the drain point
8. Remove two clips and three screws which is holding the diverted valve
9. Disconnect return pipe
10. Remove diverted valve
11. Replace washers and add lubricant
12. Insert new diverter valve
13. Replace the screws and the clips
14. Reconnect return pipe
15. Isolate the drain valve
16. Open cold water, flow and return valves
17. Re-pressurise the heating system till 1 - 1.5 bar

Cant you just replace the cartridge
Would you recommend to put in a new fibre washer on retun valve connection?
I use to use always the manufacturer one which is coming with the new part.
