My 10 yo and I have been watching violin Suzuki related videos since 1.5 years ago, but TH-cam never pushed your videos to us until now. Don’t know why but I am glad we found your channel. You played so beautifully even without piano accompaniment. Thank you for these videos!
Not only is this pleasant to listen to, but it is also pleasant visually. I love how your shirt is the same color as the leaves on the left side and that color also compliments the green in the other leaves on either side.
That’s an interesting tidbit to pick out! Glad it’s helpful and good luck to your daughter on book 4. It’s a leap in difficulty for sure but was really exciting for me when I got into it. Keep an eye out for Suzuki piece tutorial videos coming out in the coming months.
Whenever I am having trouble with a song, I look to you for help! Your videos help so much! I just started Suzuki Book 4, and this video is so helpful! Thank you!!!
Oi minha filha de 10 anos acaba de iniciar o 4 book. E nós estamos imitando você. Gratidão. Podemos te enviar perguntas sobre a execução? Você tem Instagram?
Recording them was nostalgic for me as well. On occasion, I could still remember specific points my first teacher taught me that were still relevant! :)
Hey John! Yeah it is a mute. When it’s slid up by the tailpiece it doesn’t change the sound at all but when you slide it down over the bridge it dampens the sound.
Who is this musician? Does anyone know his name? I would love to take some lessons from him! I have been up through book 4 but I need to go back and work out better basics!
I moved away from Suzuki (kind of hate the curriculum, the lack of music, the rigidity of the philosophy, and the hmm let's just say colourful exaggeration of the founder's life story). But still, it is nice to see someone play it well.
이제 4권에 두번째 곡 들어갔는데

I don’t know how this man doesn’t have more subscribers 🙏
Thanks for saying! I’ve only been posting for a little over a month so hopefully subscriber count keeps going up.🤞

My 8 year daughter is about to begin Suzuki level 4. This video is very very helpful. For example how to manage breath when performing.

Since when did Thor ever learn to play the violin ? Great job brotha, see you in Valhalla
The bow is actually 2500 lbs to those unworthy to wield it.
By far, this one has the most beautiful recordings I've stumbled upon 💖
Wow, thank you!
Nice!

Thanks Emmaa!
You are the BEST violinist I have seen in my life
Thank you!
Can I ask what is the purpose of the mute like device on your A and D strings down by the tailpiece?
Hey John! Yeah it is a mute. When it’s slid up by the tailpiece it doesn’t change the sound at all but when you slide it down over the bridge it dampens the sound.
How long do you play the violin? (thanks I loved your videos )
Getting close to 30 years now! Thanks for the comment.
A última música 🎶 tem dois violinos tocando? 🎻
Você fez a 2 voz?
Normally yes! This recording does not however. This one, is mostly to help students clearly hear the part they are learning. 👍
Do you have these songs with the piano accompaniment? also do you not use a shoulder rest, that's pretty impressive haha
Hey Mallory! Piano accompaniment is coming soon. 👍 stay tuned for a video on playing without a shoulder rest as well.
Who is this musician? Does anyone know his name? I would love to take some lessons from him! I have been up through book 4 but I need to go back and work out better basics!
Hi! The name is David Price. If you’d like online lessons reach out by email to davidp.violin@gmail.com and I can send you some details. 👍
Violin has a very distinctive color like a flamed Les Paul. That's nice.
I’m lucky to be playing on it! It’s a French instrument made by C.A. Gand. In the 1800s. 👍
😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks!

👍 Thanks Robin.
Where's the dynamic and phrasing? All i hear is in mF, that's NOT pro level
