    I agree 100 percent!
    Eating healthy, whole foods from all food groups is the best.
    I won't bore everyone with the whole story, but for the last 4 years I've tried almost everything to get healthier.
    It mostly started with needing to lose some weight, however, I discovered from much trial and error I learned that most of what we have grown up believing about health and nutrition isn't true.
    I learned that instead of losing weight to get healthy, we need to get healthy to lose weight.
    What a new concept!
    Weight is a symptom, not a cause of health.
    I also learned that even thin people can be just as unhealthy.
    Go figure!
    For me it was so difficult to totally turn around everything that has been pounded into our brains about health.
    I just know that when I overcame that mental block, I not only felt better, but I lost weight without hardly trying.

    Post brain surgery, i got a terrible infection (due to "onyx" that was used to close arteries & blood flow to my scalp). Part of that hair hasn't grown back. I made rosemary oil and add that nightly to the area, but never considered massaging it in! I will start doing that and also plan to mix a bit of your muscle rub to it. I'd really like this hair to regrow.
    Thanks for the help.

    I have very straight, thick and strong hair. When we moved to Arizona in 2020, it started breaking off and falling out. I had headaches and just wasn’t feeling good. Turns out I was very dehydrated. Wasn’t use to this dry climate. I’m fine now and my hair is back to normal.

      Do you use the vinegar straight, or do you mix it with water to dilute? I hear people talking about using vinegar as a rinse, or even as the only cleaning product, but how??? Dr. Berg (TH-camr) said to put I think a tablespoon in a quart of water or something ridiculous like that. I did about a half a cup in a quart. Can I go stronger?

    Does anybody else have a problem with coconut oil making your skin dry? It makes my skin dry… maybe because I live in a dry climate, therefore I need moisturizer, but coconut oil makes it worse. I think I need an animal fat moisturizer

    • @RainCountryHomestead

      I cannot use coconut oil alone for that reason. It can be drying and for those of us with dry skin, yes, it will make it worse. Th is why I mix it with other things as shown here: th-cam.com/video/M9e5J6Vs1V0/w-d-xo.html
      Finding a good creamy shea butter that spreads well is good on its own but often times it can be too thick. Avocado butter I find to be a good one on its own.

    I am definitely going to make a concoction as I have some herbs I can use in my garden. So hopefully this will bring back some thickness again

    I wash my hair 1 or 2 days per week using a J.R. Liggett shampoo bar. The other days, I just rinse my hair with water. I shower every night because of sweating from working outside, gardening, etc. Plus, showering at night helps my allergies. Since I have naturally oily hair, I'm thinking I could do the oil before I shower. Not sure if I can use the Cayenne or not since I have sensitive skin.

    It's January 20th, 2023, Heidi, and I am just now seeing this (the binging continues - well, it will continue after I do some more reading on our small group study "A Prosperous Soul"), and I am wondering if using dandelion root tea would work. I have rosemary, sage, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, and I forgot what else you said. Anyway, would a very strong tea work to mix in with the other herbs and oil and just rub it on the scalp? I have lost alot of hair since this bioweapon thing....ugh, plus, I just found out my thyroid has been on the fritz. I hope you'll see this. Thank you!

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oil and water do not mix so it would be difficult to mix tea with oil. Yes, as your other comment said, you can substitute essential oils for herbs you do not have but you also do not need to use ALL the herbs I mentioned either. You could make an oil infusion with just one of them like rosemary, or you can add as many different ones as you want. One re4asion I put such lists together is so people can pick and choose according to what is best for them or available to them

    Do the herbs have to be dehydrated in order to use or can they be fresh? My hair has been thinning in the front as I get older. It sucks, lol. I have always had thick, long healthy hair. I have what some people call “virgin” hair. I have never dyed, bleached, permed or anything else to my hair. Just wash and rinse. I have been using ACV for a few yrs now, but it does not seem to work. I am open to any suggestions. 💜

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on how you are planning to use them. Fresh herbs can be used to make teas, tinctures, and vinegars (though dried can be used for any of those) however when making infused oils, you should only use dried herbs.
      I am not sure what you are asking in regards to the vinegar or what you mean by it not working. I does not clean? It does not condition?

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could not find any specific information in my limited time on ifthey are high in resveratrol and while they are relatively safe, any herb used for medicinal purposes or taken in high quantities for a long period can be harmful. I just have to assume this with any of them even if I have not found any specific information on it. If using an herb medicinally, it is always while to take breaks from it or switch it up with herbs that have similar medicinal properties. Even peppermint, while it can be soothing to the gut, too much over an extended period of time can have the opposite affect as it can kill off the good bacteria needed for proper digestion

With food shortages upon us it just made sense to get the natural health benefits from this meat. With meat prices skyrocketing, I have taken to canning certain healthy meats quite heavily to get ahead of the hefty prices. I don’t waste any of the fat caps either. There are so many benefits. Pregnant women should be careful; some herbs can be abortafacients or start uterine contractions. The point of putting the stuff on your scalp is it does absorb into the body.

Doing a quick skim of the video, it appears I did forget to say it but I do so many videos like this and say such things so often so sometimes it gets left out as I feel like I have said it already but you can watch any of the other videos in the series and see that I have mentioned it before
