Ivan, Riley, Marc and Fred head out for an easy ride. With some events coming up nobody wanted to damage the bikes or their bodies. With the best of intentions the Players sallied forth but of course poor decision making reared its ugly head once again. On this ride Fred was on his CRF250L with a rally kit, Marc left his Yamaha Tenere T7 at home and brought his CRF250. Ivan was on his super tall KTM 690 Rally and Riley was on his freshly serviced Husqvarna 701. Bikes and bodies got modified but the day still ended with a cold beer.
It’s so nice to see a video from you guys again!
There are many out there doing the same thing, but your videos are just better.
Thanks so much! Sadly the videos I do on how to change a tire or a battery get all the views with much less work but these are the ones I like to do as they are a memento.
Haha, I love that 7th gear!
I hate rocks ;(
Whoa, that crash was nasty! Hope Ivan recovered well.... lumpy
i rather have rocks then sand
We don't get too much sand here and we suck at riding it!
@@AwesomePlayers Canada much like uk we dont much sand go to south of England. It not much behonest. I h8 sand
@@WrightWayAround Hi Kerry.
Hi Nerb! Fully recovered, yes lumpy :)
And we were home by noon !
Another great editing and narrating job Riley. Here’s looking forward to the 2024 season
Thanks Marc. Looking forward to it myself!
Glad to see the video posted! Been quite a while since I've seen any of you guys. Especially love the Sunday morning meets at Ivan's when you guys work on the bikes. Sad to see Ivan got injured on this, but after watching this, you boys are ready to put bikes on trailer and go to Southwestern Colorado and do the mountain passes! Severe Rock Garden there, just much longer than what you boys went through!
Would love to get down to Colorado one day. Those mountain views look amazing.
Yay new vid! Easily some of the best dual sport / adventure riding on youtube! Thanks!
Glad you enjoy it! Cheers.
Happy u are uploading again. Missed the rides with u guys 🎉.
More to come! Going to try and get some content out. Tons of footage just need to get cracking.
I remember a few years back when I used to watch you ride the F 800 GS as I put my son to sleep. I used to have a 750 GS at that point and had just gotten into adv riding. Now I am watching as I am putting my son and daughter to sleep. And I now have a nicely kitted out 701. You got me into to something really great here, Riley.
Thanks for many hours of amazing entertainment.
I hope Ivan has a speedy recovery. That was a very nasty crash! Cheers from Denmark!
Thanks for the kind words. I just got a 901 so I guess you should as well.
"something is wrong, but it doesn't hurt" Nerve endings are not everywhere. Maybe that is the lesson here....repeated injuries and rituals following an injury with beer....a bit a of a clown show here.....
Ivan did a bunch of scans and some physio therapy and is 100%. But yes a clown show.
"a bit of a clown show" That's an understatement and thanks for being polite, I wouldn't have said it in those words 😂 And yes I'm 100% recovered except for the bump on the shoulder.
Great video! I gasped when Ivan did that endo crash! That looked bad. It could have been so much worse! Glad he is ok.
Yes it could have been much worse but I crash very well so my body protected the motorcycle, barely a scratch on it. could not say as much for Marc handling it afterwards though. LOL!
When you do your own maintenance protecting the bike is important. A cast is free here.
Thanks for another great video! I’m glad Ivan wasn’t too hurt.
Same here. It's a fine line between a good story and a disaster.
Thanks, I'm all good with extra bump to hold the shoulder pad
crackin vid lads - mate of mine had similar injury, still has a lumpy shoulder hehe
Good to know I'm not the first and only one to have a lumpy shoulder 😁
A see a new FaceBook group. Motorcycle Humpers.
Glad to see y'all again! Glad to hear Ivan was okay. I, too, had an AC separation. Still have the hump on my shoulder (same side too). Next time you get a formal suite, make sure they measure both sides. The right arm may actually be a little longer when it is at full extension downward. Stay safe!
Sorry to hear that. Another buddy of mine crashed years ago and he has the same hump as well.
I'll take note of that if ever I get a custom tailored suit. Astars make riding suits, maybe I could get it with integrated Airbag.
@@ibuti01 Cool! May be pricey BUT may also be worth it! Thank you for the info. I may look it up!
yeee, another adventure!
First comment! Welcome my friend.
Thanks for the vid! Speedy recovery, Ivan!
Thanks! Ivan is 100%. Season is just about to kick off here and there is a lot of fun stuff on the schedule.
I'm all good my recovery is much speedier than Riley's video editing 😂
@@ibuti01 ROFL!!!
Some people give their body to science, Ivan gives his body for our entertainment. Thanks Ivan!
We always say that bad riding makes good video!
You are welcome! It's all for your entertainment :)
Another great adventure! That was one nasty endo, glad Ivan was good enough to continue on. We can't wait to see what you've got coming this season. *T4S*
Nice to hear from you guys. Should be a great season.
"can't wait to see what you've got coming this season" You will have to be patient, I heal faster than Riley edits videos. 🤣
Heal well Ivan!
Ivan is all good. I little bump remains but he is 100% functional... at least physically.
Breaks my heart to see the 690 flipping with ivan. I hope they both recover well!
Ivan is 100%. He crashes well. Just a little bump on his shoulder as a memento.
Looks like you boys had some real fun. Those rides must be something special in the spring with the black flies.
This was in August but yeah we have had some bad insect moments. Most of pack a bug net just like the old army days.
The Awesome Players’ tradition of beer & food before the hospital is my kind of ritual! 👍 🍻
Nice to hear from you. Wish the weather would improve so we could get this season going.
@@AwesomePlayers It has been the same in Northern Coastal California this Winter and early Spring.
I think it is turning around, we had a few days of great weather strung together recently.
Awesome ride and that endo was stupendous. I had a beer after my gin and tonic to toast the injured. Stay awesome fellas!
Nice!
Hi Riley! Looks like you had some rough rocky sections. Really slippery stuff in the woods! Cheers.
We don't get a lot of wide open spaces. Mud and rocks! Cheers.
That was great! So good to hear Riley say "Give 'er" Loved the whole ride, though that crash really made me cringe. Great video and adventure!
I had a moment of real angst till I heard Ivan on the intercom.
Doubletake mirrors are excellent and they do honor that warranty. Mine broke the same way as Mark’s. They sent me a new one.
Love that product. Expensive but buy once cry once.
Hi Riley. Welcome back.
Did the same thing to my right shoulder about 45 years ago. It's not the worst thing, but you will always know you were a dirt rider.
Nice to be back. I feel my riding past in my knees. Ivan will feel it in his shoulders I guess. Cheers.
Great to see you guys!!! Thanks for making the ride interesting Ivan!!! Giv’R!
Our pleasure!
You are welcome! It's all for your entertainment :)
@@ibuti01 that was a textbook Endo for sure…
I would have to give you two 👍 for your commitment to form!!!
Have you ever climbed the rocky hill on your GS?
Did some crazy climbs on my old F800GS. Lots of failures but a few hills where I was amazed I made it. It climbed well and I really liked how easy it was to modulate the clutch. Not spinning that rear tire and feeding in power when you need it is key. Can't be done with just throttle. After a long climb my clutch hand would hurt sometimes. People will try and really gear the bike down with a small front and big rear sprocket but I eventually went back to stock gears and used the clutch a lot!
If you had the choice between the F1300GS and the F900GS, which would you choose? The 900 seems more manageable/agile for this use case?
I would go for the 900. Very nice looking bike and the scale seems so much more reasonable if you actually want to do some off-road. Not to mention the price point is a lot more attractive as well. If I had all the money in the world and a lot more garage space I would have a 1300.
@@AwesomePlayers ok yeah that makes sense. Thanks!
What a workout!!!
I feel for Ivan. I had a crash and a fall in Jan 2023, and separated my left shoulder, damaged my left rotor cuff, broke my left middle finger, severely sprained both my right wrist and left knee. It wasn't until Nov 2023 that I could lift my left hand over my head without using the right arm as an assist. I am just getting back to being able to ride anything not pavement or groomed gravel. That flip Ivan did could have been much worse. My separation was a minor tear, but mostly stretched ligaments. The rotor cuff was what didn't want to heal.
Man that sucks. It really is kind of random. When Fred broke his arm it was a very minor fall. Later that year he was in a big high speed flip into a rock strewn ditch and walked away without a scratch.
Wow that was a nasty crash you had. Hope you fully recover to be get back into all the off-road goodness we love. I was lucky, not too severe, I just managed to avoid having surgery and I'm fully recovered. Take care.
Greeting Riley. Deja vu all over again as usual. Never a dull moment when the A.P hit the trails. Thanks for the drama and entertainment even if it was at poor Ivan's expense- glad he came out of it ok as the footage of the end over end looked like it may have been much worse than it was. Hope you all are revved up and properly wrenched to hit the trails this Spring! -Steve-
Glad you enjoyed it Nice to be posting again and chatting with folks. Should be a great season.
It's all for your entertainment, as we say " Bad riding makes for good video".
Yes it could have been much worse but I crash well so my body protected the bike, barely a scratch on it. 😂
Is this Christmas? What a treat, a Players ride video!
Don't want to spoil you guys with too many videos.
That slippery downhill section looked super sketchy even with the go pro. I’d have thought twice about that even on a trials bike, Ivan must be totally fearless. It’s fun watching you guys sweating & taking all the knocks so I don’t have to 😊
Good call! It was sketchy and we have avoided it for years. At least we say we finally did it. Cheers.
Sketchy? yes, very. Fearless? I would have used other words like idiot. :) But now I can say I've made it down that section (note I did not say "ride down") cheers!
@@ibuti01 The main thing is you lived to tell the tale. I’m allergic to pain & probably wouldn’t have tried it unless I was kitted out with some kind of hi tec air bag triggerd pants & jacket 😀
Love these! I always smile when I hear the theme song.
I may update the footage in the opening but the music stays for sure.
Very good video! All good to Ivan, that crash was scary
Thanks. The camera really doesn't capture the reality. It was a high enough that I wouldn't want to jump down.
@@AwesomePlayersYep. But it's easy to figure how deep it was by comparing the size of people or motorcylce next to it. It's scary.
As a long time subscriber, I recognize some of these tracks.
Nice to hear from you Bill. I trust you are well.
Getting old, Riley! But still riding.
@@billcotton1551 Good to hear.
neckbrace, neckbrace!
We all own them I just never liked wearing it. May revisit that. Cheers.
Oh crap!! Hard fall!! I hope he’s ok!!
Fred is all healed up and 100%.
@@AwesomePlayers Good to hear!
yall may need a Rokon in a backpack scenario
two Rokons bolted together ya!!!
Called a Jeep!
An easy ride. OK then!
We had a plan but as usual we aren't great at implementing.
Finally !!!
Hey buddy!
Awesome !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Welcome back - finally!!! Yay!...
Should be posting more. Wife is working from home and took my office. Finally got set up again.
By all means reclaim your office, public good is at stake! Hope Ivan is doing ok. Thumbs up! 👍👍👍
@@mp6814 That battle is truly over. Ivan is good. Little bump but he is all healthy and eats vegetables and stuff.
I demand more content!
Will try.
So do I!
@@AwesomePlayersSeriously one of my favorite channels. Thank you..
mantra to remember: Stand on the Pegs! ;)
For sure. Hard part is the transition from stopped to enough speed to stand.
If you were to listen in on the comms between me and pat, I bet 40% of the chatter you would hear is some variation: keep ur f'ing feet on the pegs! 😅
@@jasonmc8442 It’s the other 60% of the chatter that is disturbing!
Too much huffing and grunting for you? 😂
I guarantee you my feet were on both pegs the whole time I did my endo.
Nice, some AP on for Monday!
Good way to start the week. CDN... you local to Montreal?
@@AwesomePlayers No sir. Used to be in Ottawa Valley but am now in New Brunswick. Have enjoyed your channel for years!
We will be up New Brunswick way for the New Brunswick Adventure Rally in September.
Nice. If I go I will watch for you guys and introduce myself and the Struggle Bunny lol.

Why is Marc in front with no coms lol
