    The 2 spacers are to set the air gap on the new clutch and you may not need them both. With both spacers in, measure the gap between the plate and pulley with a feeler gauge. Not sure what the Nissan gap should be but if the gap is too wide then your new clutch will probably not be working in a few months. If the gap is too small the compressor could try to stay engaged all the time. Don’t just throw them in there because the other one had two.

    Very helpful and easy repair!
    Highly recommend a pulley remover tool which you can loan from your local auto store. I managed to get mine off without but it caused quite a headache.
    Definitely keep the extra spacers as well. I actually ended up needing the two new ones olus one of the old ones.
    I'm decent with tooling and probably a 5/10 woth cars, and this took just over and hour to get done, having the pulley remover would have probably put me well below the hour mark. Having an extra set of hands also certainly sped up the process, as you can get to different parts of it from the top and side in a 2012 Nissan Rogue

    You do a good job explaining things, however you show links to a lot of tools I did not see you use. This makes me think I am missing something.

      @@WhitehouseFarmVet thanks! 2013 rogue here. My family always tell me to trade in the rogue for a new vehicle….. but I think I’m going to drive this one into the ground while I still can :). Thanks again.

      Lol I'm the same way lol cars are the worst investment at least we don't owe anything and making car payments every month that can be as much as a mortgage!!! I'll do a little work here and there to keep it running good for as long as I can!👍

    It looked like the clutch was spinning with the pulley when you first put it on without the belt. Isn’t the clutch supposed to be disengaged from the pulley?

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most ac clutches are supposed to spin freely and also with the Compressor and pulley while engaged!! Good question though!! Thank you for watching!👍😊

      @Tom-ls1vi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WhitehouseFarmVet @13:35, you install the clutch plate. Maybe it’s me, but it looks like as you’re spinning the pulley, the clutch is also turning. The clutch should only turn when energized.

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tom yes it's supposed too! Watch around 4:30 when I'm taking the belt and clutch off the pulley also spins freely, I know it seems confusing some vehicles do and some don't ,you can Google it for types of vehicles, but I totally get what your saying one should not move without the other unless energized but that's not the case! Hopefully this helps let me know buddy!👍

    • @Tom-ls1vi

      @@WhitehouseFarmVet one last question, I’m working on mine now and I cannot get the clutch plate off because the compressor is spinning with it. Is it reverse threads? I can’t get enough impact to break that 10mm bolt free

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try soaking the bolt with penetrate then take a Torch and heat it up good then spray it again while it's hot then use your impact it should brake free then!! Good luck buddy let me know how you make out!

    • @WhitehouseFarmVet
      @WhitehouseFarmVet  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To Remove the bolt I used a little impact drill gun I think that's what you were talking about, let me know and thank you for watching!👍
