My mom was obsessed with Elvis. She saw him in concert 3 times, one of the concerts, her and my Das were in the front row. Elvis handed my mom one of his scarves he wore and he shook my Dad's hand. My mom was in freaking awe.

A proud American, true Southern gentleman, compassionate , loved God, his family , friends and fans. Generous, kind and giving to all, no matter race , color, or religion, he helped to bring us all together with his raw talent and humanity.

Elvis 's fans really love him and Elvis loved his fans. The ones that could afford to make the trip traveled from all over the world just to be at Graceland close to his body one last time. Many sent flowers to show thier love for him. I know that Elvis was able to look down and see how much he was loved. R.i.p. Elvis. You will never be forgotten !

This was 3 years b4 I graduated. Me, my mom and dad was eating our favorite Taco night. I think that was the first time I shushed my parents. I ran to the living room and turned the TV up. And all 3 of us got so sick with emotion, we no longer couldn't eat tacos. They raised me on Elvis, and I still have all his vinyls.

My Mom too was hysterical and crying when she called me at work and told me. We both loved Elvis. I drove home after work and cried all the way. I remember it started to rain as I was driving. Very odd for Southern California in August. It wasn’t a heavy rain, just soft rain. Which of course made me cry even more!! I have to say, the saddest day. This just devastated me. We just couldn’t believe it. To me, Elvis was immortal. We saw him many times in concert in the Southern California area. But the last time we saw him was in Vegas, December 76, and he looked very ill. He still performed, he was still connected to the audience. But his physical appearance was shocking. I remember asking my Mom, over and over, what’s wrong with him? She would just say, I don’t know. We were very concerned for him, and very sad and heartbroken. But , not once did I think he was going to pass away. My Mom passed away 6 years later at the same age 42 , from breast cancer. I hope she is with him.

The 8th worldwonder! You will never find a person that is loved by billions of people all over the world like Elvis is loved! Elvis is a real natural talented music feeling and living singer. He is music! King of music! He was raised in a time where musician don´t have technical gimmicks like play back, lipsync or autotune! There are some good musicians at that time! They can really sing! But what about today? They are artificially, because of the technical help! The artificially music starts about at 1982 in a larger frame with MJ and Madonna leading that new age. The both new super stars. They using playbacks at their live concerts and fortunely they were caught for that fail. Unfortunely the media did not report that at that time, because it was forbidden. Today we know from that, if we know from that. So, in the 50´s 60´s and 70´ you can sing or you can not sing. And the personalities from that time were more natural. Today they can correct the singing via autotune and the personalities are most artificially too! That is the reason why a lot of younger people choose Elvis (or others oldies) for hearing his music! They have the feeling or/and knowing of that facts! They hear Elvis voice and say: What a voice, never heard anything like that! That is special, that is extraordinary in comparisson to the technical influenced and dominated music of today. ELV1S king of pop(ular) music forever!

I was 16-growing up in Memphis. We were doing laundry in the living room. The TV was interrupted telling us Elvis had died down at Graceland. I didn’t reLise how famous he was until we drove to that mausoleum and the front lawn was east deep in flowers. Hysterical fans everywhere.,.

I am still stunned by Lisa Marie's death. It is now been confirmed she will be buried at Graceland with her father, son, and grandparents. I was born three months after her and it was like growing up with her. I hope she sees my Mom, paternal aunt, and maternal grandmother, who were all Elvis fans. It was so heartbreaking, I remember Mom telling me about her birth; she was six months pregnant with me, and saw her with Elvis and Priscilla on the news on TV showing her to the fans as Priscilla left the hospital. Elvis was so happy, she was the best thing that ever happened to him. It's so unreal and unfair.
