I am still in shock of Lisa Marie’s passing today. I’m glad that she got to see Austin Butler’s Golden Globe win for the portrayal of her dad. My prayers and thoughts go to her family. 😭💔

I’m 82 yrs old & I cry too when I hear I hear Elvis sing this song , where no one stands alone. My lovely Wife died at 42 yrs old & that was in 1999! And I’ve been alone ever sense then. Elvis makes me cry with a lot of his. Songs while thinking of my wife! She was a jewel of a lady & I miss her every day & nite. I’m crying now! God Bless Elvis & my wife! There is nothing worse than being alone, it’s true!!!

My hope is that she is with Jesus! I dont know if she confessed with her mouth that "Jesus is Lord and Savior of her life" and believed that "Jesus was raised on the third day"...I am sure she was told about Jesus from her daddy!
As I certainly do not want to falsely state anything that isn't true of Jesus...but I know He accomplished/finished His Most Precious Masterpiece upon the Cross!
I know I cannot know for sure, I just hope the Gospel Songs she sang with her dad (like this one), touched her deep within and changed her heart! Clearly she was searching for the Truth, when her son died! Sharing her deep pain in an essay, was in essence, a testimony of her struggles!
And I also hope that she found The One Who gives A Peace that passes all understanding!
If this isn't the case, shame on those who know Christ and knew her! We are called to share the Gospel with everyone, that includes those who are in her position and status...Grace is for all, and the rich are some of the most needing of that Grace!

Yes, it is astounding....this most talented, incredibly handsome man created a whole new culture of music. I said since a young kid in the 1950's that we were witnessing a phenomenon that this world will never see again.
There is many great singers and songs but Elvis never made a bad song or performance...and how many of us, sadly, never got to see him live at one of even one of his concerts. It is mind boggling how one man will last forever and we never tire of him.

Listening today after learning of Lisa's passing. She has such a great strong voice. I am surprised she didn't become a bigger hit.
She could have been a mega star but for many reasons left the limelight. Family was important to her.What a tragic end too young to leave us.
I think she was probably somewhat afraid- I could be wrong but she would constantly be compared to her dad-rather than focusing on her talent & seeing her for her it would always be Elvis’s daughter & she knew that.

Then would listen to them both on the radio swinging outside while all the siblings and neighborkids were in school. I fell in love with his gospel music long before his pop rock. I still listen to his gospel. His best work.

My grandmother passed away in 2007 and my brother last year in April. Elvis was my grandmother's best favorite singer. One more month until my brother marks one year after his passing. I was 12 when I first got to hear elvis through my dad,it's been 23 years now,since then,but I still feel excited to hear him,as I was back then...dad has moved on since then,but elvis has been his one single greatest gift to me and not a moment passes by when I do not think of him whenever I hear elvis which i do almost everyday.
