Very Nice Review, I have Meermin Wholecuts in Burgundy, and about 25 pairs of Allen Edmonds, Carlos Santos, Cobbler Union Adelaide in Black, J. Fitzpatrick MTO Northgate in Forest Green, TLB Mallorca Artista Line the same shoes have only in Burgundy Museum, 110 in Dark Brown Hatch Grain Leather, 3 pairs of Carmina ( Black Suede Tassel Loafers), Chocolate Suede Longwing Bluchers and Burgundy Vegano Leather Longwing Bluchers.
Don't know why ... but I don't see a lot of Carminas on the "best shoe brands" lists ... I have 4 pairs. Absolutely love them. Great value for the price. It's strange.
Quality content as always, but this episode was honestly my favorite since you hit the fragrance and shoes at the same time. Hipped me to some shoe designers that I had no idea about. Will begin my research to grab a pair or two!
Carmina, Paolo Scafora, Antonio Meccariello, Yeossal, Carlos Santos, Gaziano Girling, Edward Greene. Speaking from experience these are top shoe brands. You won’t be disappointed. Best of luck If you decide to order like say a Carmina come down one full size from USA size to European size. I’m an 11.5D, size 10 from Carmina fits perfect. Hope this helps.
Man love the channel.......was elated when you picked Magnanni......I worshipped them....sleek elongated...got more complements from strangers on my burnished brown shoes than all others combined. very soft and flexible. Note that most people only wear their best shoes a few times per year....a magananni must likely will never be resole for most. Fit like a glove. Would pick them over those costing 3x because of their sleekness.
I have 2 pairs of Carminas and I just got a pair of J. Fitz. I have been wanting to try Carlos Santos, but your presentation of the Magnannis intrigued me. I will try both maybe next year. My day-to-day shoes are rubber sole Cole Haans. I have about 6 pairs of them. Absolutely nothing is as comfortable as them, so at. $150-$250 price point for most of their shoes, I feel that even though they wear down in about a year and can never be resoled l, it is still a solid investment. I though that your entry of Parfums De Marly at #10 was a little harsh. At $320-$330 a bottle and never being on sale, I thought that it should have certainly been above Acqua di Parma and maybe 2-3 others. Great video. I enjoyed it. Learned a little something, as well.
Good video… might however disagree with you on Magnannl (#3). I own a couple of pair too, but not sure if they’d even make my list. Brands you might also consider are Y by Yeossal, Michael Darren, Loake 1880, Yearn, etc… all much better quality than Magnanni at similar price points. Also AE’s quality seems to have taken a huge hit, just not the same.
Disagree Magnanni is definitely top 3 they are comfortable and the designs stand out. I've received more compliments with Magnanni than the other brands.
Good list Darian the Bow tie fragrance guy. There is another brand from Spain that is definitely worth mentioning,Mezlan! I have at least 4 pair of shoes from this brand. When I rock my suits, I place my pocket square in the Pocket Square Holder. It does a great job of holding the shape of your pocket square. As always keep doing your thing and I will catch you on the next video peace
Hey my dude! Very good list actually. I just put in an order for a pair of Douglas Jodhpur boots from Beckett Simonon, and I also got the 205 Artista Van Gogh from TLB Mallorca. I've been a fan of both TLB and Carmina so I was torn between the two, but I decided to get the TLB for now. I can't wait to get my two new pairs of shoes.
This list is highly accurate. I would rate these brands the exact same way, except I might put Meermin a little above AE. (Although AE actually makes excellent quality shoes, with higher quality leather, -including higher quality shell- than Meermin but I currently prefer the aesthetics of Meermin lasts over AE lasts) Im also a Carmina man, and would put TLB just below them at the 1 & 2 spots respectively as you did. You need to do alot more videos like this imo
Meermin are superior of AE definitely. There have some imperfections and lacks quality control but no one can see these and as construction and leather quality are better than AE
I enjoyed your assessment of shoe quality based on opinion, the pairing of fragrances added a nice touch, Mezlan brand of shoes have very nice aesthetics with a good variety of leathers and exotics, also thank you for dropping the other shoe brands some of us were not aware of.
interesting concept but at this level mid range designer frags seem appropriate for RTW footwear. PDM, Roja and Creed could see themselves in the St Crispins, Vass, C&J, Edward Green, Lobb, Gaziano, Japanese etc MTO or bespoke level, but of course you can wear anything with anything when worn with confidence
I’m glad fragrances for men are back bc in the 80’s and 90’s, you were not put together unless you finished it off with a fragrance. I remember in the mid 90’s, ppl. started hating ppl. wearing cologne and natural was the choice. This went on up until like 2010 but there are still people that don’t like or wear colognes. Also, I usually don’t over spray and one good spray and I spread it on my wrist and neck.
Oh and many of these shoes are ok but on the conservative side. I like the classics, but I like when they have more shape and more pointy on the tip . To me those shoes styles are more sexy like Cesare Piochotti. I’m just getting back into my shoes game after like 10 years of mostly wearing sneakers. Not only are these shoes conservative, but they look like every shoes making the same wing tip or cap toe, like I said, tye Leather quality may be very important, but for me it’s the shape to distinguish my shoes from everyone else’s. I’m a 80’s man, so I will always try to look more different from everyone else and put my own twist. Like I just bought a leopard print tie and love it.
So i would love to hear your opinions of LMD (Le Majordome) coming out of my home town Zürich production in Spain and recently expanded overseas and opened a shop in NY City! Let’s see a review of LMD ready to wear shoes
Great list I love Allen Edmonds but I think their quality is starting to slip the last two I got had defects on them and they cut down to one shoe bag. Even the box was cheapened where before they came in nice boxes with magnets to keep it close they now use regular boxes
Yeah they got bought out a little while ago. You can get used ones on ebay and take em to a good cobbler and slap some dainite or JR soles on em and they'll be like new.
What is the best way to buy these shoes without trying them on? The only brand that ships to US with free shipping and returns is Cobbler Union. Do you have a NY recs to try these new shoes without paying multiple return fees?
Disappointing not to see any brands from the UK or Italy on this list. Some fantastic shoes can be had in this price range. Even hand welted shoes can be had at this price point. Vass, Enzo Bonafe, Crockett and Jones all come to mind...
Very quality and great shoes to have at that price point. I owned a few of the brands that you highlighted and their awesome shoes. Just an observation, it appeared that most of the shoes you showcased didn't have any toe-taps or heel plates to cut down on the wear-and-tear of the shoes, even tho a few of those brand's soles could be replaced. Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why you don't use toe-taps or heel plates on your shoes?
Just ordered a pair of Chelsea boots from Thursday Boot Co. Heard good things about them so I'm giving them a shot. They make Goodyear welted shoes around the $200 mark.
I love those J. Fitzpatrick shoes...burgundy with the austerity wingtips looks so sleek. My general shoe preference is more along the AE style--more traditional styles.
My man, when you buy shoes like that you always put on sole protection. Look how your shoes look under? Also, with no sole protection you will slide around... Take care of those nice shoes 👍
Excellent content - well prepared and considered, thank you. Where do you stand on dress boots? I’ve been thinking of trending that way…wingtip ankle boots instead of a regular shoe style.
I have like four pairs of magnanni’s I Just love the history of magnanni. My favorite dress shoe brand by far. Just simply a beautiful Spanish shoe. Do more video’s of dress shoes and suits. I love your dress up vids. Suits and all. Learning a lot of stuff from you. Keep up on the grind.
Very good video. Introduced me to other shoe and fragrance brands I wasn't aware of. All the ones you mentioned were legit shoes and quality 👌. I would also add in Santonis, Mezlan, Alden shoes. I can tell you like wearing Oxfords😀
What’s a good dress shirt brand for me or period I normally wear a 33 or 34 in length but I’m a slim build and I have small wrists so I’m tryin find a brand that has a lil more tighter fit in that area
I love the way you associate the shoes with a variety of presented fragrances. Now that is priceless! Semper Fi

Dang son. About time we got a style video. I've heard you say it in your intro but never see the videos!

Lovely collection👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I have the same pair from Cobbler Union…and love the fact you showed love to the Carlos Santos Adelaides. Awesome looking shoe 💯
Great video, please make a video of the best shoe brands above the 500$ mark....would love to see your say on some of the best Italian shoe brands
I really enjoyed this video, Bow Tie! Carmina is my favorite brand…I have eight pair and planning to add more to my collection.

Great video. One of the things I like most of the Magnanini brand is that they suggest a matching belt to go with the shoes.

Totally agree
AWESOME video!! I enjoy the fragrance videos, but pairing fragrances with the shoes was NEXT level. Thank you for sharing.
You gave a suggestion for a cologne to buy and I bought it. Ladies have be going wild. Thank you for your service.
I would certainly include Beckett Simonon in that list even as an honorable mention! But I do agree with everything in that list.
No way
I love them but they take 5 months to deliver.
@@Exec-eo1kz took less than a month for me. And bc they don’t have it stocked up, they literally make them to your order
took them 10 days to ship my shoe.

I have a pair of Carlos Santos and really rear quality. Would like to get 2 or 3 more pairs
Bro. I've been looking for black fashion channels since I'm looking to get into some quality shoes. Definitely subbing.

That's next level! The next price tier!
Those are shoes
I have those and church shoes also can't go wrong
@@BowTieFragranceGuy Actually that's about two levels higher along with George Cleverly and John Lobb custom made.

Mr. Bowtie. Excellent video. I enjoy your channel immensely. My best to you.
Ok, this is something else. Amazing content Darien. Love every single second of this video. Love the mixture of fashion and fragrance.
