    There are no houses being built in Jamaica for Jamaicans. All these prices are for foreigners. It's a shame.

      There is a lot of land, the government/NHT has no intention of helping hard honest working Jamaicans. Y u think a lot of persons r doing fraud. It's very difficult if not impossible to work honestly and live a decent life and have the basic amenities.
      It's a shame. The big banks and now insurance companies are getting into real estate.

      Folks in Washington DC say the same. Homes are over $800 thousand to 1 Million. DC, once considered Chocolate City, but most Black families can no longer afford to stay in DC. This is happening Everywhere. Besides, while you're having a pity party for Jamaicans, most thugs are investing monies in guns and shots. Imagine if they pull together with family to purchase a home?

This is the first time I’m seeing this community and you know that a slew of videos on this community is gonna come soon from other TH-camrs, so just put the name of it so that I can say I saw it 1st on the Delpratt Family whenever the other TH-camrs showcases it.

    nice house but lacking
    1. kitchen could be pushed back 30 inches on the back patio this area don't need that much space as the back yard is spacious
    2. the pantry should be built in the wash room wall no need for so much space in the washroom
    3. front windows should be one big window
    4. windows in garage should be lower for security reasons
    5. main bed room bathroom should have a bath with the standing shower
    the shower could be much smaller to fit the bath tub
    good price but for retirees the items mention are essential fir comfortable living
    hope other units will reflect some of these recommendations

    The feng shui is a no. Everyone knows once u can see from front straight through the back means no money will stay in the home. As it comes in it goes out. Plus for this price point the closet should come done. Other than that it’s not bad.

  • @annettecollins4710
    @annettecollins4710 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The kitchen needed an open door food pantry for that size house and price.. also some shelves should have been installed in the laundry room and closets since they are going the foreign way of designing those homes.. didn't like that small counter space in the master bedroom bathroom, that sink took up all the space. Those are my cons about that house.

  • @ann-marieblessedmitchellon861
    @ann-marieblessedmitchellon861 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Mi a talk truth, the average Jamaican is unable to acquire a house to call dem own with ease even if they get the max from NHT, they still have to go through another lending agency because house prices is on the rise daily it seems.
    I give God thanks for the day we move towards acquiring a home on the open market. We couldn't afford it now trust me.

    Price is too high for a basic house. Nothing spectacular. No appliances. There should be a powder room. Too much dark cabinets. Would rather lighter colors. The living dining area appears to be too small. Would be nice if a drive up to the property was done so we could appreciate the surrounding better. Love the size of the lot and the back patio.

    The house is nice, but I would love to see Jamaican designers evolve and design homes that capture more natural light. I don’t see much difference with this house than one built 40-50 years ago. Pretty much, once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.

      Jamaican architecture is driven by cost not creativity. Most dont even know where to put a clerestory window. Also we have to factor the cost of labor and importing materials to fully execute such finishes.

    I luv the property and space inside the house...it is huge and alot can be done..the only thing I'm not happy with is the dark moldings for the Caribbean I wud go with sand light colors and a semi modern contemporary look....the cabinets kind of threw the entire house under its too dark too small for such a big space...why not utilize the space in around the kitchen and dining area...Adrian maybe you can persuade the developer's to change their style...

But nevertheless it's a lovely home but no ordinary hard working Jamaican can buy these home's which is very sad. I do believe Jamaican properties are over priced for normal foreign people muchless Jamaican hard lower wage person's??. Government of Jamaica needs to do affordable home's for their citizens earning an honest bread 🍞🍞🍞. But love you both as usual.♥️🙏🇬🇧🇯🇲
