Attempting to fill a request from someone (a few someones) from our facebook group Go Make Some Art! Acrylic pouring has so many possibilites. Here is my attempt at the wing pour. I'm gonna need some practice. 1Paint:1Floetrol
One of my favorite things and one of the most challenging aspects of acrylic pouring is the less abstract and more representational pieces. I love a challenge! The colors are Artists Loft copper, old gold, and flow black and Liquitex Basics titanium white.

I love it even though it wasn't exactly how you wanted it every pour has its own unique quality. I recently started paint pouring after watching you and several others. I love the art of the whole thing.

Love the effect with the double cup. I just made a couple of double cups and a triple cup using different size cups and hot glueing one inside the other. Works great!

After watching a multitude of seeing pours yours definitely turned out the best. It's gorgeous.
Great job! I've tried three times already and, at best, have only gotten some scrawny moth wings, lol... Video 170 (Crazy Angel Wings) is very interesting but definitely NOT angel wings! I will post my second and third attempt on Friday... I am going to keep trying until I get it and then nevermore, lol!!!

I have tried this 5 times....it is definitely more difficult than it looks. Will try again later in the week So frustrating.....
But after watching this one, I realize my paint to cover canvas is too thick and I'm probably putting too much down.

I too have been trying to do this as well.... No luck - it's harder than it looked.... But I saw another artist make the cup helper thing with 3 cups and his worked beautifully. I cannot find three that worked together well... now I know I do it with just two cups! YAY... Thanks Gina!
Liquitex is a cell generator! I did a test with a small bottle, using nothing but liquitex. Small cells but they were all over the place! Floetrol is a cell generator as well, but it can make fat cells and web effects. I like it alot and Home depot delivers it same day for 13 bucks a gallon!🤗👏 When I mix the Floetrol with one drop of the silicone (stuff you don't like) barely stir it or just leave it on the top of the paint, the effects are off the charts! Remember, the greater you stir in your cell fluid, the smaller the cells that cup will produce. Your amazing, thank you for your inspiration, I just glued a small cup into a larger cup for some play time tomorrow night, it's my Friday!!

I had a thought for this beautiful creation: if the white in the inside cup would be a bit thicker, so that the white gap is not in danger......? Just a thought. These colors are so elegant

question what happens if you just let it sit flat ?
What about a combination of Floetrol and Decoart Pouring medium to limit the cells and still have some fluidity?

Instead of gluing cup inside another cup look at cooking spray caps. My cap looks like a cup inside of another. I going to try that tomorrow.
What did you use to have canvas on an angle as pouring thw paint? Again thank you Gina.
Cooking spray caps would work for smaller canvases.. good idea
@@ceciliajacobs5346 I've used it for the bomb painting so I thought it work. Its an idea. I work with alot of small canvas 8x10s
The smallest canvas I use is a 11x14, but may have to try your method on a smaller one. Thanks for the tip

AKA Jager Bomb glass instead of using glue for the inner cup.
What if you put some press and seal wrap on the inner cup while you're filling the big cup? Then once it's filled you could pull off the wrap and fill it!

Gina, I have a question for you when you have a minute. What movements keep the wing tops pointed and with a bulb looking like a "swimmer"? I heard someone explain this and I can't remember who. Thank you so much.
Would you get cells if you just used water instead of flow troll?
A Pouring Medium of some kind must be used. Using just water may lead to cracking and peeling.
Seems that Floetrol makes cells no matter what ya do.

I have trouble getting cells, and you get them when you don't want them.
I would call this one Lung Cancer. I know its supposed to be wings, but it reminds me of what I picture in my Stepfathers lungs :(
