I was born and raised in wahiawa but left the island after I turned 16 which was around a little over 6 years now and I've never gone back home. I was amazed when you turned onto my neighborhood and drove past my childhood home. It's even crazier how many things changed in town after only six years. thank you for letting me feel back at home once more 💛
I wasnt born there but I grew up there, and I left in 2015, and I havent been back and I miss it, I saw the field I played football in, the road I would walk to school on every day and then to practice, I saw where I rode my bike, where I caught the bus, where I recycled cans at for money to buy from the manapua trucks all good memories. I miss what I consider home
I grew up in waipio near kipapa elementary school. Waipio was a small pineapple plantation community in what is now mililani. I went to leilehua intermediate and high school. I spent much of my free time in wahiawa. This video brings back many memories.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Born and raised in Wahiawa. You drove past the house I was born in and the house I lived in later on. Wahiawa has changed a lot since I left years ago and then in some ways it hasn't.
I remember going to Woolworths with my mom back in the 70s, wow seems like a lifetime ago. RIP Mom🙏 I also got my driver's license here, driving these streets back in 79 haha.

Thank you for this journey. In the 70s in front of the Catholic Church, my grandparents were crossing the street to go over the foot bridge to Glenn Avenue when a car loaded with kids ran over them. My grandpa was thrown and grandma was dragged under the car. The driver said he never saw my grandparents

Wahiawa could be a very nice place. But to many doodoo holes living over there, makes it pilau.
