The Hardest Material You Can use. Satin Chrome on Aventador

- This was one heck of a car to vinyl wrap in satin chrome! I've wrapped my share of Aventador's and other Lamborghini's, but only 1 other in satin chrome which was Will Motivation's Huracan. I used nearly an entire 81 foot roll of this material by making too many mistakes due to the difficulty of the film, and my strive to make it perfect. In fact, I even ordered a second full roll (for $2,700) of this material so that I would have it as back up. I hope you enjoy this door vinyl wrap video and the POV camera angles towards the second half.

“Heat it up and see what the film wants to do” is such a good pro tip for anybody that missed that comment.
11mins in and there are so many tricks that is see here. #1 when he says he has wrinkles that he can always fix later. Thats not lazyness, its an actual tip. Some of that stuff you need to fix at the end or you will have to restart everything.
#2 as he is going over with the squeegee, he going over with super small streaks. Thats so important.
#3 cutting the excess vinyl.
These videos are gold.
Ckwraps, I want to thank you! Im near ottawa and just started last week in a print shop where we do mostly commercial wraping, the business does a lot more, but im just starting as an installer right now and I learned most of the stuff I know from watching your videos.
I bought 3m carbon wrap from them and wrapped my rooftop and showed the owner and he asked me how I learned because I did a good job and I told him I learned from ckwraps youtube videos and he gave me a look and I got a job offer that day. 😂
I know I did the work and all but you inspired me to try vinyl wrapping, now I’m going to make a career out of it!
Thank CK!
At first I'm like "how cool would it be to work on that car". Then I realize how stressful that would be. You have gotten so good at working and teaching that it's a pleasure to watch.
Amazing job as always. That doesn't look like easy material at all.
the shaky hand while trying to put the blade back in your cut line made me chuckle 😂 great video, always love watching them.
It's nice to know that some people watch it for what it is, and catch onto the small details. I noticed it myself and could have easily edited it out, but that wouldn't be reality.
the cut and fold. man i forgot about this when i was wrapping a spoiler. wrinkles all bunched up on the corners but now i know haha
It's necessary, especially with certain films
Beautiful work, Christian
super epic and precise job even with the little wrinkles but they are inevitable it looks like. chrome is just one big crazy challenge, takes balls to tackle this especially with that caliber of car. super nice camera angles made it so easy to follow along.
What POV camera are you using mate?
Brilliant! He makes it look so easy. This would be a nightmare for me.
Very nice, that car looks rad with satin chrome.
Great work as always my guy!
Great Work Bud 🥳🥳Very interesting watch 🥳🥳
Ok Bro. Good stuff. Wrapping Lamborghinis now. Good stuff. Like your attention to details and grind. Much respect 🙏🏾
Lambos started about 6 years ago. Wrapped a few dozen now. Stay up to date on the channel homie!
Any thoughts on Vvivid ? I’ve been seeing lots of mixed reviews about it but they have the specialty wrap I want. Is it really harder to apply as most people say and does it last as long as 3M or Avery?
Dumb question coming in hot!
Can you wrap over body filler, or does there have to be some form of paint for the wrap to adhere to?
Thanx
I'm about to try to wrap my wheels. Where do you recommend I get my vinyl wrap from?
Can you share any insights to wrapping a vehicle with a lacquer finish? Meaning, NO clear coat. I want to attempt a wrap on a 20 year old lacquer paint job on a 67 muscle car. Thanks.
Beautiful title , Ivan from Intricate Roofing 😅
Hey i seen a video of you doing a seam down the middle of a hood. Showing us 2 different kinds of carbon fiber wrap but also how to bland them together. I also agree with you on the lines of the carbon fiber ↖️↗️. If you could plz tag that video on here i would really appreciate it. I cant seem to find it at all.
Ich glaube der Kotflügel war viel schwieriger als die Türe. Das hätte ich lieber gesehen 😅
Grüße aus Österreich 🤘🏼
What about temperature? Hot and cold exposure?
How do you know when to lay the vinyl or to stretch it I notice some stretch and some lay it
We got the same ringtone lol
CK wrapp. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Danke!
Thank you very much! Danke!
Just saw videos with VINYL FROG....their vinyl looks beautiful....never heard of them till today...
Supposedly a difficult Vinyl to work with ,, so I 've heard
Hows that precision line nowadays? The last time I had it in my hands it wasn't even straight within the tape. Talking about precision right.. lol
It was better back then when I wrapped this car which was about 3 years ago. These days, it's more crooked than a thief.
@@CKWraps ah makes sense when the vid is old haha. Ye it's pretty much pointless if it aint straight
@@GeenIdee2 I'd still rather use it in hidden areas as opposed to freehand cutting on a $750k car lol. As confident as I am with my cutting, satin chrome is almost impossible to score perfectly.
@CKWraps that explains why the shop looks different. Previous location?
@@ryan_robertson it's the same shop that I've been at for the last 4 years, but I've upgrades since then. Mainly the lighting.
The bigger problem with cars like this is not the wrap issues....it is the "taking them apart and putting them back together" part of the job. I mean, who here watching this knows how to take apart a Lambo and put it back together perfectly? This is why I don't do this for a living....
You're right, it takes knowledge and experience in most cases. I do have videos on how to take this car and many others apart. It's not 100% necessary, but if you want the cleanest install then disassembly is a must.
@@CKWraps Thank You!
