- The 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari to introduce Electric Power Steering (EPS) which, in line with Ferrari tradition, is used to fully exploit the potential of the car in terms of performance by integrating it with all of the electronic vehicle dynamics controls.
The car also sees the introduction of the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system (PCV) which, starting from the experience gained with the F12tdf, combines electric front-wheel steering assistance with the mechanical concept built around tyre dimensions and the rear-wheel steering. All integrated with the vehicle dynamics control systems based on Version 5.0 of the SSC, with the aim of improving the agility and response time to steering wheel inputs of the 812 Superfast.
Ferrari 812 Superfast: combined cycle fuel consumption: 14,9 l/100km; urban cycle fuel consumption: 21,4 l/100km; extra-urban cycle fuel consumption: 11,1 l/100km; CO2 emissions (combined test cycle): 340g CO2/km.
The values of fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval.

This is what I think of Ferrari. Front engine, sporty, high-tech, full of passion and drama, sometimes quirky, Italian, look and sound amazing. Oddly enough, as young and naive as I am, I didn’t like supercars at all. I just thought they were all boring status symbols, including every Ferraris ever, even the 250gto, entry level gt cars and the Dino. But THIS. This blew me away and I learnt that these are sophisticated machine, built, developed, and designed by people who really love cars and their job at Ferrari. I love the aero package design, the design of it’s interior, the lineage, the drama, the way you utilized complex electronics to make the car not only faster in a straight line or on race tracks, but make it feel special. Of course I haven’t driven one my self, not in real life at least. Being just a teenager and not wealthy nor do I have connections. But just how Ferrari emphasize on the driving dynamics of their cars make lets me know that they really care about the enjoyment of just driving a car and not just absolute performance. You make some of the coolest cars I’ve ever known. The Roma made me dive deeper into Automotive design and learned a lot of things and this car made me realize that care fully tuned and refined electronic assists are the future of vehicle dynamics. Before this, I only thought power steering just makes steering dull and imprecise.
