    Don't think I've had as much fun watching a flight sim video in my life - that was a ton of fun!
    More of this wild nonsense, please. Great clutch flying when it counted, and you even stuck the landing. Love it!

    I definitely don't want to become paste on the side of a mountain, but I must admit I haven't liked the flight since we took off. I'd be white knuckle gripping anything I could grab on to. I'd be saying, "You got this." All the while saying to myself this isn't going to end nicely.
    You just said words I never wanted to hear from a pilot, "Here goes nothing." And as we came to a stop, I had the same nervous hysterical laugh.... followed by a serious need to get out of this damn plane. But it was cold out there and sat back down till I had my wits about me. Thanks for the ride darlin', let me grab my bag because when we leave, I'm taking the bus. Actually, I'm probably taking an Oxen to the bus, then the bus. (raises a pretend glass) cheers!

    very nice landing... 🤣
    the alps are one of my favorite places to fly in msfs2020, beautiful scenery!
    a decade ago i spent a couple years driving a truck around europe, my favorite route to drive was also the alps, used to drive up the alps in austria and down into italy at verona close to venezia, then over to milan and back up the alps from there crossing into switzerland going back down, such a scenic route, normally longhaul drivers just drive the freeways but we used to load fruit back to scandinavia, so it took me through all sorts of backroads all over the alps to small villages and farms, i dont miss living in a truck but some of those trips were awesome!
    flying around the alps in vr and recognizing places, sometimes down to the exact buildings of places ive been a decade earlier is incredible... i am exited to see what the next decade or two will do for flight sims and vr development!

    Holy Cow! That was intense. Just terrific content creation. You knew what you expected in the valleys. Was MSFS able produce the valley wind effects you expected? That would be incredible (it’s a big world full of valleys). AvAngel at her best in this one.👍

    As a real life glider pilot flying over swiss Alps I confirm you that turbolence like this are quite normal especially with the strong Föhn wind. I would say reality is stronger because here I don't see also the vertical movement component of the air that is the worst in a narrow valley like this. In reality you can spring up like a rocket. When you are over the top of the mountains generally turbolence stops. This is the ideal weather for gliders, not for GA pilots that in worst contitions like this remains at home. 😄😃😅

    hi
    did you choose "live weather"? The last days were a strong wind in the alps, especially Wednesday + Thursday. I know this valley and area. There can be strong gusts and winds all time.
    Thank you for your Review!

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried real but it was apparently super calm according to the sim so went with gusty instead

  • @urgentsiesta7606

    Flaps aren't just for landing. Any time you need more lift and lower speeds they can come in handy, esp if you're riding the edge of a stall. :)

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Problem is they can cause enough drag to make things worse... and those were accelerated stalls from windsheer, not likely to help.
