I reluctantly boarded in 1998/9 as an 8 or 9 year old, because my dad insisted and I didn't feel the assertiveness to turn back (after asking the Ride Operator: "does it go fast"?) Fortunately I was laughing not crying. But the negative G forces were at the very border between bearable and overwhelming. I do not think I should have been urged to go on it - especially due to my heightened sensory perception, as I'm autistic. It would be much better for there to be similar rides that you control - so that you can gradually increase the height reached. It would help greatly, I think, for acclimatising to rollercoasters. I never rode on a pirate ship this size again, nor did I want to go on any rollercoasters ever.
I remember going on one of these at cedar point and nearly pissing myself when my ass would fly an inch above the seat going backwards and screaming "I'M GONNA DIE Y'ALL!!!" A few times 😂 (T_T) it was fun tho

I tried it a few times to see if I could overcome it, but I always turn pale white because I feel like I'm gonna fall off since there's nothing strapping you in place and my palms are blistered red gripping the metal bar. Takes me like an hour to recover after.
I tried this ride earlier this month and I thought I was going to die on top of it giving me the worst motion sickness I've ever had. I've gone on plenty of moderately sized roller coasters and simulator rides that are known for causing motion sickness and been fine, but this is the only ride to make me so sick that I broke out in a cold sweat. I don't like to say "never again", but yeah, never again.
