Working on a Tivoli Extreem. Only just started on the trailer as a base. So far it’s 80 cm long. All Lego technic with working hydraulics and electric motors. Still a long way to go. Tough!
As a former ride operator who frequently would operate this attraction specifically, this was very enjoyable and surprisingly accurate to the real thing! very impressed and enjoyed very much
Nice model, I like it! One note: I would consider using slip-clutch gear instead of the regular 24-tooth in the acceleration wheel lifting mechanism. This would protect the engines from instant stop which can kill them at some point.
my only suggestion would be to springload the wheels up so that the timing of them being raised isn't problematic. put them in a position closer to the middle of the ship and it would be simpler too
Hey, great comment! I considered doing loading the wheels but decided to stick to an older style of design with two wheels - plenty of examples out there that do this method. More modern swings use a single central wheel as you suggested! Thanks for watching!
OMG! I remember going on one of these rides, I think it was the first time it had been to our town's local fair.... My mum, sister and me went on it, we sat as close to the centre as we could. And OMG did we feel awful when it stoped and we got off the thung, my sister was green in the face and shaking mike mad. Needless to say, we have never been on it again!
Impressive ! Too bad the start of the boat is not gradual, on the real ride the rocking starts slowly before accelerating little by little. But that may not be possible with a Lego construction...
Yes - more modern versions of this ride do exactly that! I wanted to try out a slightly older method some of the original pirate ship rides employed! Thanks for commenting!
Hi, thanks for the comment! Not necessarily true - the older models started out as I've built in this video - with 2 wheels. Different designs included a ride with just one wheel.
Just discovered this channel today and I love the videos. One of the parks near me had a ship ride like this but it was a yellow canoe and it only had one wheel instead of two. Their is another park near me where it is viking ship themed. I have no idea how many wheels that one uses since that one is more covered up than the canoe one was. I'll have to see if I can find out if it's two wheels or just one as well. I love the build you did here. Very nice. If you ever do it again it would cool if you taped a mini fig to the front of the boat like how the pirate ships have those art pieces on the front of the ship.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Relax and watching. By the way, I would like to invite you to watch about video Lego Car Tug of War Competion, and hope you will have new experiences
Always wondered why more people dont make fairground rides with lego…. Would be neat if it all packed into a trailer!
Go see @letsgorides
A lot of fun fair fanatics build them, good ones too!
Its fun until the sun start to melt them 😅
I don't like self advertising but I'm working on an entire amusement park:p building was on hold for a while but I'm getting back to it soon:)

As a former ride operator, I appreciate the safety bars for the passengers 😂
I’m a foster enthusiast, I really want to be a ride op.

Ah great! I’m glad you liked it, did you stay within the amusement park industry?

@@BuilditwithBricks loved it!
Nice!! Being able to build something like this, no matter the amount of planning that went into it, is very impressive!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome! ☺
Thanks! 😄
With slow motion, it looks like a real scale ride 😃🔥⭐️
Wow! Amazing video!
I love watching this
This brought me back to childhood trips to the Europa Park. Well done project! 😊
Ah! I’m glad it bought back fond memories! Europa park is fab!
Very interested good idea 💡 x

Awesome. and very satisfying
Ah thanks for the kind comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Top spin twister lego ride
I genuinely think you are the first one to do that. Great job on everything!
I did one as well th-cam.com/video/b9G1BECA2X8/w-d-xo.html

great video
Last scene very nice😂😂😅
It's great that you created it, if you're hungry you can come eat my lego dishes
I remember this. It’s fun
That acceleration is incredible! Are they BuWizz or official LEGO motors?
BuWizz motors!
I like this 😊
More of Rides please
Wow, amazing work!
I wonder if a (Suspended) Top Spin would be feasible...
Really super
Thanks! I appreciate the support!
Awesome video! Love your videos👍

Incredible video love this work a lot! What system did you use to code the ride programming?
Hey! Thanks for the kind words! It’s programmed with the LEGO Powered UP app!
Dommage que la nacelle ne fasse pas le tour complet. Peut-être un prochain projet ?
Another type of ride that would be really interesting to see is a free fall, especially with some kind of braking system at the bottom.
The ‘drop tower’ is an interesting idea! Thanks for commenting!
While I like the design choice the traction tires do not lift they just reverse lol.
It sounds like a spray can shaking on building Lego
Could you not have achieved the same mechanics with just one static wheel in centre which would simply change direction back and fourth?
Yes - more modern versions of this ride do exactly that! I wanted to try out a slightly older method some of the original pirate ship rides employed! Thanks for commenting!
@@BuilditwithBricks that’s interesting, thanks for reply
pretty cool
At normal pirate ship is only one wheel🤔

Try to make a Hydraulic Launch Coaster like Kingda Ka
I ride once and my soul is left behind HAHAHA
Can you do the tagadisco?
Классная работа!!!?
Please Build Kärnan from Hansapark! :D
What part did you use for coding the ride
Just the standard Powered UP app from LEGO!
Admin toy 💀, My toy 🤡
Can you build a working drill rig?
search up the legoland Jolly Rocker that is what this made me think of😀
tôi nghĩ nó vừa quay, vừa lên xuống nữa thì hay hơn nhỉ?
Where is Jack?
This is amazing but 8 th8 k it’s too aggresive
I should measure the acceleration and work out the g force for the minifigs! Thanks for the comment!
