Thanks for the great review of this you deserve way more views. I am on the fence about getting Data as it just came in stock but here in Australia the version with spot costs $499 which is the one i'd go for. Also on a note about the paint being black on the standard head sculpt in a sense that is kind of accuret to the show coz sometimes you could see the paint they used on Brent come off on his uniform ever so slightly.

Dude! Fantastic video! Love this figure so much so I was super curious to see your thoughts. A bit of feedback compared to my copy of Data, I'm not sure if it's your copy or the lighting/ camera white balance but the skin on mine is very accurate to the show and not very human skin toned as yours seems to be. I saw the creator Nan Jin saying that the next generation figures are based on series 3 and I've just watched some season 3 episodes and the eyes seem accurate yet compared to series 1 and 2 his eyes seem bigger which is what you showed. As far as I know the extra head sculpt is supposed to be the same as the regular only with the hair panel. However I think early on it was advertised as a separate expression 🤷♂️ I guess they changed it. I've seen the nemesis head sculpt and it is different, it's definitely representative of an older Brent Spiner but I can see how in pictures they look very similar. You know what bothers me is the picard figure will be the captain's jacket version but on the boxes picard is wearing his standard uniform. I'm really looking forward to Geordie but I hope they do Troy in full uniform, crusher with the Dr jacket and the captain's chair amongst the main crew.
Cheers mate, thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights. Each figure is meant to be hand painted, so it's possible there's some subtle variation in skin tones between individual figures. I agree with you on the Picard, I never liked the 'jacket' look - but if you can track one down QMX did a splendid standard uniform Picard and it's fits into the Exo-6 line nicely (in fact Nanjin worked for QMX so there's a connection there). I did a video on it if you want to take a look for yourself. I personally won't bother with the Exo-6' version of Picard because I'm so happy with the QMX version.
@@ode2toy619 Yeah I saw that video, I knew he had worked for them, I do sometimes wonder if he was the driving force for QMX. My issue with getting the Qmx version is consistency, if we get more red uniform figures the material, colour and body type won't match and that will drive me mad lol. I've seen it in a store here and I really liked the figure. After I wrote that comment I went back to look at my data and the skin is so much more white/ metallic than yours, or at least compared to how yours looks on camera. I've got my fingers crossed for warf having routed hair.

Ha - good point! Thanks for kind words. Good luck with your purchase, he's pricey but I'd say he's one of the strongest releases from Exo-6 so far.
