Just found your channel,I've got 4 Exo6 star trek figures so far, star trek TMP figs 👌,locutus of Borg 👌,star trek Picard season 3 not bad,& waiting for Data to come very soon, preordered saavik & kruge,to me Exo6 is better & cheaper And quicker coming out, live long & prosper 🖖
Hey! Always nice to meet another fan! You're building up a really nice collection of figures too as well. I just got my Admiral Picard and I think he turned out well. Have high hopes for Data too which hopefully is on it's way to us. Really looking forward to Saavik. feels like the launch of what could be one of Exo-6's best and most anticipated lines, and similarly Kruge, feels like their first foray into something a little higher end, so I'm hoping that they deliver on both. I do have to give Exo-6 a lot of credit on the speed of their production, and also that even with my complaints at times their final products end up being better than the prototypes! Happy collecting and it should be a fun time for us this year!
Wow, I had so much fun listening to your thoughts here! How in the world did I miss this video... dang algorithm! I totally get why you've decided to cut back on Exo-6. While I absolutely love what they are doing, their releases are certainly hit or miss. What keeps me going is there are times where the in hand product looks better than the promo pics. At least that's what I've found. Picard and Data from First Contact for example. Janeway was a huge miss however. To be honest, I didn't even like Voyager but I got her strictly due to that need to have all the captains. There was a time I thought I'd get every release, but I've come to be more selective. I'll likely get the entire DS9 and TNG crews and limit the Original Series to Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. Janeway and Archer will likely be standalone figs to round out the captains. I am considering foregoing the Picard series figures though. The only reason I'm still on the fence is the Starfleet uniforms from the show were so darn cool looking. I would absolutely love to pick up LaForge from Picard. Oh wow, my post is crazy long... better cut it here. 😅
Hey @genefactor007. Sorry for the late response. Took a little time off with the holidays. Really glad you found the channel and appreciate the kind words! I agree with you completely that in hand their products tend to be better than the prototypes, which is a bit unusual for sixth scale. I had to finish the Voyager line, because of how much I liked the show, but I do feel like some of those figures were a little lacking. Especially when you compare them to some of the more recent pre-orders, like the TNG data, or the Strange New Worlds figures. Very much looking forward to getting those in hand. The Admiral Picard for example actually turned out well and with how good Picard Season 3 was, I don't know that I can pass. And you're right about the uniforms. I'm really hoping for a Commodore LaForge, and a Captain Seven, and even a Commander Ro. Really was a great send off to that TNG crew! Def. Looking forward to hearing more from you!
Yea it was odd there were no clear photos of Doctor Bashir at Wonderfest. Curious to see what fig looks like. Totally agree w/ you on Strange New World figs (minus nurse chapel. Still doesnt do it for me) and Shaw from Piccard Season 3. They look great. I'm running outta self space for Star Trek display. Some figs may have to be banished to my garage to make room. Although I am being selective w/ Trek figs. Right now there isn't any rhyme or reason for my collection of Star Trek. Just pick up the ones I find I like. Damn u Exo-6 for screwing up Janeway and destroying my original all captains display. Grrrr Exo-6...Announce Captain Seven and TNG or DS9 Worf....I have spoken. 😁 Thanks for vid!
Hey @trembledust6819! Thanks for watching, as always! I was thinking about passing on SNW after the initial showing, but with how much they've improved will have to get ready for the pre-orders. Also. 100% agree with you on Captain Seven and Worf! We must have those two! And don't get me started on Janeway. On the plus side I did see someone do a great repaint of the sculpt. Might be worth considering down the road.
Exo-6 and their ceo haven't shown her, (at least i don't think they have) but they did show the teal uniform and mentioned Crusher so I'm pretty sure she'll be made at some point. if we got the full Voyager crew, I would expect the full nag crew as well
@@rudysonesixthworld something is quite off if they do not do crusher or troi...but yet we see ro or whatever her name is who was not part of the ongoing cast...also I do not care for any of the Voyager crew or deep space crew
I think the biggest test for them is going to be Kruge. That figure is 300 dollars. So that is exactly the cost of Hot Toys figures, and if that doesn't deliver....that's going to be a massive concern.
They've only shown some shadowed teases of their version, but they are being a little unconventional in their releases. Probably doing the WOK version first and the TOS version at some point down the line!
You know that Hot Toys has it fair share of not-so-good head sculpts. Pepper Potts is a great example, however there is no denying that Hot Toys has improved immensely over the years. Here comes Exo-6 and collectors expect Hot Toys quality. I think you will see a gradual increase in quality as Exo-6 gains experience. I don't think we will ever see 1/6 scale Star Trek figures ever again. So, I will take what I can get from Exo-6.
Totally agree, Hot Toys has had a bunch of misses. Recently the Thena I got in hand. Great sculpt, but I don't think it looks anything like Angelina Jolie from the Eternals. For me, the only reason exo-6 was something I was looking to cut down on was more a byproduct of how many amazing pieces are being put out right now. Hot Toys, Inart, Damtoys, Threezero. They are cranking out releases, so while I wish I could buy everything something has to give. But you're also right when you say "we'll never see 1/6 scale Star Trek figures again" It's such a niche market that this is going to be the best chance we'll ever have to collect. And from this showcase they had. I'm actually feeling a lot better about what's coming from them. Still think Voyager could have been better, but I couldn't pass on the crew.
Hello brother. I am a big Exo-6 fan but I have to admit that I pass on all of their female figures. I really wanted Captain Janeway too even though I am not a huge Voyager fan. I'm more a TOS and TNG fan. But it seems that all of their female figures have weak sculpt work. It seems that Exo-6 can't really do female characters that well and that's too bad. I really wanted to get Saavik from Wrath of Khan also, but again, very weak head sculpt. Great video and thank you.
What's up man! I know you like Exo-6 and Trek too, just saw that you have a video up for DATA! Have to watch it. You're not wrong about the female figures. I think their best to date was the seven of nine, the biggest issue i have is the hair. It's like a lump of plastic that they drop on. Feels like it's missing a lot of good detail work.

Always appreciate the support my friend!

When will we finally get Riker???
One of my most anticipated figures as well. We'll get him eventually I'm sure...hopefully they deliver a solid release!

Nanjin from exo-6 has teased both so i'm pretty sure they're going to give us the whole TNG crew. Otherwise I'd be really annoyed as well.
The figures are good but not good enough for the price. They charge Hot toys prices but the sculpts are not on the same level.

that is why I only got archer...to heck with the rest of them. I want beverly crusher if they make her....and that is all.
Where's Captain Kirk aka William Shatner?
