    Hazey, I join you in your jaunts from the central desert of Arizona.
    I am so glad that you have come to the time in your life in which you have welcomed a dog into your life. Better late than never.
    For anyone who lives too much in their own head, doubts, fears, welcoming a dog into one's heart is is accepting that things can be better. As you said, they bring one hope. The love, trust and protective care you give to Nimbus, will be returned to you in even more instinting abundance. The solid training you are giving him now in his formative pùppyhood will allow him to become a dog of dignity. He will learn the lessons of the trail. He will always greèt you with joy, he will never say a hurtful thing. When you do faulter, as we all do, on your life journey, he will be a source of comfort, strength and compassion. Dogs have their own pathways to understanding other than the gift of speech; they communicate on a higher level.
    I believe your Nims will be one of the best decisions you ever made! Aĺl you have to do is generously open wide the gates of your heart and he will prance joyously right in. I am obviously SO HAPPY for you.

    I'm on my own with my dog, he's a collie dalmation at 11 years of age. We have been through relationship breakups, bailiffs, my Dad passing and my own ongoing mental health gymnastics. He knows what i'm thinking before I do on most days. If i'm depressed or anxious, he is anxious too. So i work on myself to be less depressed, and in turn I see a positive difference in him, which motivates me to be better. It's a cyclical dance, and you live it every day. He is my best friend, and my worst enemy. I have tried to distance my connection to him because I know ultimately he will leave when it's his time, and I will be left holding the lead with nothing to attach it to.
    He is my mirror, and I think I love him more than people because I can talk to him in the small hours and he listens, he doesn't judge. Unfathomable love these creatures provide, and when I wake up every morning and hear his paws stepping from his bed over to mine seeking acknowledgement, I'm grateful he is still here with me. We can start the day afresh, and maybe do better for ourselves again.
    It's a gift, use it.

    @johnscott6026 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Nice one. Dogs are fantastic listeners you can talk to them, they listen don't judge and wag their tails. Makes you smile and make your world feel OK 👍 I have always had dogs and great company in the mountains. They get you out and appreciate the great outdoors. Enjoy the dog adventure. Looking forward to Nimbus adventures.

    pro tip: take ya pupper into the vets on the regular just to put him on the scales. now hes a little older its a bit harder but the nurses/desk staff will still faun over him and likely give him treats. he will learn that the vets just means good attention and treats so when he has to go for an appointment there he will think its the greatest trip of a lifetime. i did it with mine since they were just pups and they life long loved going to the vets. i took mine in at least every week until they were out of the puppy stage. it dosnt even matter what their weight is, your not taking them to weigh them you are teaching them the routine of a normal vet visit. you wont regret it later on trust me.

    Hey there Nimbus! Good to meet you kid. I got a Patterdale/ jack Russell of ten weeks old called Sigi, she's been to work with me everyday, and all my camping trips so far. She's now 8 and a half months and is well into the swing of things. Introduce them to everything and everyone from early on, it's the best thing you can do. It definitely gives you a new lease of life and the motivation to get up and out of the house everyday.

    Hazelton owd lad, now with a pupski, brill. You'll have absolutely the best of times with unt pupski, but train him up well. Sheep can be ever so much fun to chase, until he's big enough to take one down. Then it's not so much fun anymore...."MEDIC". Bushman (Al) and Blue do some epic mountain hikes up t'norf, well worth a watch for ideas on all things doggy style.

    Lovely dog just be careful of over exercising a puppy and make sure they don't eat for at least a hour before a walk and a hour after especially with a Labrador because they are prone to torsion and cruciate ligament damage.. I'm not telling you this to be negative just too show I care and also worked with dogs for 25 years.. Also don't let them chugged to much water then feed them dry food because that is not advisable love. Wish you all the best

    Beautiful good boy! ( probs a demon tho) I lost my best mate Louie the black lab at the sad age of 11 months old about 6 months ago. Still devastated over it it’s like loosing a baby, he ate something that poisoned his intestines and couldn’t recover from the operations he got, enjoy ever walk and every moment with him mate don’t take it for granted ❤️ hope he brings you the same joy that you will bring him every day
