You add a great amount of positivity and value to the world Tash! WHOA.. that Ravelry yarn colour search blew my mind. Thank you! Your Steingass TEST is going to be amazing. Can't wait to see!
Wow… That was so interesting about the ravelry yarn search. I didn’t know you could do that. So thanks for putting that in your video. Just an idea, maybe include more Ravelry highlights? If you know of something that others might not know about, that would be great. Love the videos as always.
Thank you so much for the tip. That is a really good idea. I dont want to go longer (actually, i would like videos to be under an hour) so i will have to work on being more concise. Not less relevant or helpful information. Just getting it out a little quicker... ;)
I really enjoyed this podcast. Your knitting is amazing and the tips and tricks that you share are appreciated too. I cannot wait to see how your pink sweater looks after you sort the arm length out. Thank you for today's podcast. Go well and take care, I will be waiting with baited breath for the gauge podcast. Thank you for doing that too.
This is one of your best podcasts yet (and you set the bar so high!) So many beautiful projects, and your thought processes on frogging, planning, adapting are really inspiring. Just a thought on the Nordiska - if you are really short on the pink yarn, you could do the 2 x 2 ribbing in the grey and then use the pink for a ribbbed edge. You would only need a small amount but it would tie the design together x
Hello Tash. You might be interested to look at Danish Musings episode 19. She has made a beautiful Seoul Blouse (I think she was a test knitter). Loved your show as always. 😊
Thank you so much Annie. I have seen that one - I love Helle and watch all of her episodes - but i think that was about a month ago so i will have to go back and watch that section again. x
Thanks for the Ravelry tip, Tash. There is so much I don't know about it; would you consider doing a tutorial sometime on getting the most out of Ravelry? You are so good at explaining concepts! Love your podcast; there aren't many Aussie accents in the knitting pod world, you are great.
I've been using this method for years. I often use 2 lightbulb stitch marker fastened to each other. On cable crossing rows, or increases or decreases, I let one of the markers hang off of the other. On the no change type rows I put both of the markers on my needle. If I have 2 different 'special' rounds as well as 'plain' rounds, I'll use two colors - one for increases the other for crossing or whatever. Plain rounds always have both markers up on the needle. So convenient! Just pick up the project and check to see the state of the double markers. Quick and easy!
Hi Tash, your Sellwood Tee is so cute! I wanted to mention that I also made The Throwover, using the exact 3 color ways of the Spin Cycle as Andrea did in her sample. I found it very frustrating that you only use such a small amount of each color before changing to the next that the colors in the skein just don't change that quickly. So I ended up cutting and starting at a different area of the skein to get some variation. Ugh, expensive yarn and I had to chop it up! Lesson learned. Take Care!
Thank you so much for sharing that Carrie. I will definitely have to find a use for anything that gets pulled out as it is too expensive to waste. Just hard if it is lots of little pieces...
I've knit both No Frills and Monday Sweater. They're both great patterns and I like both sweaters. But Monday Sweater wins. Just nicer finishing. The Ravelry description of yours was interesting and helpful. Thank you again.
Thanks so much for that information Rhonda. I love hearing that you have knit both and feel like the Monday sweater is the preferred option. Makes me want to knit it even more. :)
Nice job on the Sellwood. It would probably look nice with a black camisole underneath, depending on the color of the variation in the yarn. Roxanne Richardson also has instructions for binding off at the start or end of a row for shaping symmetrically.
Thanks so much Jillian. And thank you for the tip about Roxanne and binding off at the end of a row. It definitely is a common thing. I have been knitting for decades and never done it. Always happening to learn something new if there is a use for it though. :)
Hi, just to let you know that the Porcelain Sweater is knitted with Tynn Peer Gynt which is a fingering/ 4 ply yarn, rather than Peer Gynt which is DK/8ply. 😊
In the United States, sales taxes are levied on purchases that occur within a particular state, ie New York, Texas. So if you ship to a location outside of the state, you shouldn't be charged the state sales tax. That can pretty much even out the cost of buying locally versus shipping to Australia (if you ignore the ghastly US/Aus $ exchange rate).
Thank you so much for that information Ursula. I missed that entirely. No wonder the 21st gauge. I was wondering how that was possible. Thanks for catching my error. I will correct that next week. :)
I can't believe my last comment is still there! My comments have vanished almost every time for weeks, mostly on your videos! Not sure what is going on. Anyway, your Sellwood looks great!
Thank you so much Ursula. That's awful about your comments disappearing. I havent seen any held for review. I have experienced this before when i have commented on someone else's podcast but only when i included a link to something. So i just dont include links anymore. Not sure why that is happening with your comments. Thank you for taking the time to comment and I hope maybe me replying will lead to them not disappearing??
I don't understand why an Australian should have to pay California sales tax. When I sold to Mexicans they went to a place and got their sales tax refunded. I had to collect it to appease the state as a business but the people who don't live here were able to be reimbursed.
I think maybe if it gets shipped to a California address, maybe they have to? I dont fully understand. This was just my experience so maybe they are obliged to collect it if it is being sent to within the US...?

Thanks for telling us about the fingerless mitts. I was looking for another small project besides knitting dishcloth. I watch Roxanne all the time. ❤
Thank you so much Toni. I'm glad to be able to be able to share a new project idea with you. x
hi love your videos. I noticed the birds early on sitting on the window sill and it was obvious they knew each other. that's called bonus material. 😊
Thank you so much. Glad you can enjoy the wildlife as well. ;)
Wow! That really turned out beautifully! It is so beautiful thanks for sharing. 😊
Thank you so much Michaeline. :)

Your Sellwood Tee is lovely! Looking forward to your Gauge tutorial - thanks for putting that together!
Thank you so much Stephanie. :)

Knitters are so clever - I love that you make life easier for yourself with tools available. Thank you for sharing. :)

Love your videos! ❤ just a thought, have you considered changing backgrounds to something with more light? More nature? Cozier?
I live in Melbourne and have got Sandnes Garn from Sun Yarn studio who is in Europe. Very good prices and speedy service.

Thank you so much Martina. I wish i could easily edit the video to include that. I might try and do that actually as i hate to confuse people. :)

Haven't finished watching but the Porcelaine in on Tynn Peer Gynt!

Have you considered using time stamps? Because you cover different topics and if people come back to look at something it is easier to find.

The Knitting Nook at Dural keeps Knitting for Olive yarn, haven’t been there for a while, worth a call
