    Cheap diesel fuel efficient car next? With a limited budget? Kinda like an old 70's vw rabbit with a 1.6? Making "Diesels" in beam is quite fun.

    Jusging by the thumbnail, I thought it was gonna be an IDI diesel or something. Like the ford 6.9 or the chevy 6.2 detroit.

      @@92ford13 not really they’re pretty gutless my dad has a 6.2 Detroit in his truck and that things pretty gutless unless he turbo charges it. But his Duramax is way better

    Also can I just say rolling coal is stupid and gives me hay fever. My Uncles 200kw Turbo Diesel 3.0L D4D Toyota HiLux is cool!

    You need to tweak the friction in the jbeam to slow the engine down, then put the T-Series exhaust on it, then it'll be a diesel

    they seriously need to add deisel as a fuel option. one way or another. they WILL do it till they get fed up with so many requests. best way to make someone do something. annoy them

    You can roll coal in just automation by making the fuel map extremely rich and matching the boost

    That right ther is a daggum durbo tiesel son. Main goal right now is to get a 6.6 Duramax but I might have to opt for a powerstroke. Finding a duramax that isn’t either clapped out, pushing over 500K miles, or extremely expensive in the top of the Midwest is near impossible.

    Ummm if you're basing the truck on 80s tech it would be a solid front axle. IFS for trucks didn't start till the mid 90s

      They had Ifs in the 70s. 4x4 it was solid axle tho
      Also the 1988 Chevy k1500 was IFS

      01 ram 3500 redline starts at 3500, my 70mph is at 2.3k, but 4k is a normal redzone for a diesel

    Not using avgas? Incorrect. Incorrect. Avgas is as close to actual diesel in automation as you can get and the fact that you're not using it makes this less a diesel and more a gas engine that doesn't run quite right

      @@sftworange6456 its basically really leaded fuel used that originally got used in spitfires etc but its actually still legal now despite having a good few more times the amount of lead that normal leaded fuel used to have.

      @@finlaymcdiarmid5832 ahh but that just means a higher octane gas than right? so the engine will jus knock less? i cant see how a higher octane rating would make a diesel in automation considering that would mean you would need more rpm to use the higher octane

    My 89 w350 non dually has the ole 12v Cummins that has not been modified. That means it has 160hp and 400+ lbs of torque. It’s sitting on 35’s and a lift, the thing is a box but yet gets anywhere from 16-20mpg

    I'd go with 130 RON fuel which I think is closer to how knock resistant diesel is. Max compression, leanest AFR, and nothing more the 10 on cam profile.

      You also wanna use a ridiculous stroke length, has the benefit of squeezing out some extra torque and limiting rpm and physical size.

    Is beam ng and automation the same game? Or is this a mixture of mods? I am computer illiterate and want to build a pc to run this exact game to build my own vehicles engines etc.

      2 games, automation makes the cars/engines, beam is where you drive them but they also have their own cars which are awesome

      @@thecommodoredecker it's called steam and you buy both games on there and download them, it's pretty simple after that, after you make a car in automation at the end there is a option "export to beamng" which puts it in beamng for you to drive then you stop playing automation and play beam and it's ready to go once you pick a map to play

    You lost me at turbo diesel v8...... As a GM (Duramax) guy a turbo diesel I6 is where its at.. I stopped watching as soon as you selected a diesel V8. Good luck my son.
