Some more chronicles from Donny. Filmed on Oct 30th & 31st during my connection wait, both intervals of around 30 minutes or so. Doncaster is to the ECML what Crewe is to the WCML. A hub station, trains coming and going from all directions from near & far. A good mix of local services and long distance intercity services some of which pass non stop through the station. Makes for a good mix of footage.
INCLUDES: LNER Azumas, HST's & 91's, Hull Trains 180's, Cross Country Voyagers, Grand Central 180, East Midlands Railway 158, Transpennine Express 185's, Northern Pacers, 331, 195 & 170's and DB Schenker & Freightliner 66's.
Times are most certainly changing on the ECML. The days of HST's, 91's hanging by a thread and Pacers soon to be a thing of the past. Get them all before they're gone!

I never realised how slowly the 91s get going, great shame they never saw their potential of 145mph as have been stalwarts of the east coast for so long and I dare say we are into the last days of the amazing HSTs now but how amazing have they been.

The old 91 electric engine are so weak to accelerate. But the Mk2 van train accelerates quicker
