Trains at Stevenage, ECML | 30/10/19

The day before Halloween at Stevenage station on the East Coast Mainline. Stevenage is undergoing a face lift at the moment with work well underway to opening a new terminating bay platform at the southern end of the station for the Hertford Loop services to be able to terminate in. This has always been one of my favourite spots on the ECML for a good mix of both stopping and passing traffic. A good day for filming to be honest. The low sunlight and orange autumnal colours in the backdrop made for quite some good lighting and scenes during the hour I was filming.
INCLUDES: LNER HST's, Azumas & 91's, Thameslink 700's, Great Northern 387's, Grand Central 180, DB Schenker 66's and an unbranded class 802 on a test run.
Also in the spirit of halloween and all things guts and gore look out for the pigeon going out with a bang at 6:54 getting hit by 387124 as it passes southbound at speed.
The ECML is also rapidly changing. The days of class 91's & HST's are numbered so get them before they're gone. Good to see them in action.

What’s up with the LNER trains and the tiny door windows all hitched up high like an old man with his pants up to his chest? Nice job with the black paint giving the appearance of continuously glazed ribbon windows.... but that door just destroys the look
