Amazing video Ross!! Some incredible variety there and some great freight action too!! Was a great way to kick things off with 66789 and it was cool to see an 88 and 68 being double headed!! Amazing shot of 66505 there and weird to see the HST with a pantograph! Suprised colas still havent repainted the ex-LNER powercars and EMR one yet
I love Doncaster, I go here regularly for trainspotting, and since it's right on the ECML you every now and then get Azumas and other High speed trains blasting through! And since I live in Rotherham, It's very close! (it's only a 30 train min ride away) One of my Fav Rail stations, Best in South Yorkshire for trainspotters!
Amazing video well done. Love the sound of the 66 putting the power down and the looks of the hull trains paragon 802s are beautiful. Funnily enough I actually caught one at Leicester! Keep up the good work
They pretty much were, I got very annoyed hearing the ‘tactile paving’ announcement every time a train arrived. I don’t know why they need to announce platform 0 at the other end of the station either!
Hello Alex, I visited Southampton Central last year. You can watch it here - th-cam.com/video/Da5wfTZmdLM/w-d-xo.html Thanks for the kind comments and suggestion though!
A lot of freight trains have big stop times, for pathing allowances or to let other, higher priority units through. Sometimes, they will skip these, for a variety of reasons, this is usually how.
I believe it does both yes. It uses the pantograph on the Mk1 to detect any damage and deviance from design. It’s a bit strange seeing a HST with a pantograph though!
I've been looking at Horley and Gatwick Airport for a while and I think the time is coming for these two! Horsham is an interesting one, I will have to plan a special on the day I visit to make sure its interesting. Thanks.
Theres some great irony in the inspection unit itself failing...
I love Doncaster, never disappointed. I will be going back next year. Thank you. 😊
Amazing train video at Doncaster

Doncaster is definitely one of the best stations for trainspotters
I agree
You can add to that, Peterborough & Stafford.
Well it would be if people weren’t constantly tonew⚓️rs
But dont forget about Barnetby, Britains favourite place for train spotting since i last checked.

@@StarlifeStudios Thanks and sorry for the confusion, I meant Southampton Airport Parkway. 😄
@@FearAlexxthe station seems a bit boring

Probably 2026-2027

Awesome video! Was the HST doing both track and overhead inspection and if so how does the electric mk1 coach do it?
