    Build is awesome. Hope it’s still working out well. I’m going to mod mine similar to your decking. Thanks for the tips and advice.

    Fantastic mods! Just purchased this boat and working on the rear box as yours to act as a bench. I notched both ends to allow lid to open all the way . I will be adding a modified transoms mount trolling motor to the front and using a big foot switch .

    I would add 2 coolers in the back . One for a live well and one for ice food and drinks. This would solve the weight distribution problem and be very useful on a long hot day fishing.

    Hey, nice boat. I’m about to sell my Ranger z520 and down size to one of these. I’m going to add nav lights , a switch panel. I am also going to try to add a recessed troll tray. I’m going to fabricate a spring loaded rudder so that it can go over stumps. If not I will just add a motor with a larger connectable rudder

    Please tell me where you found the adaptor that goes into the boat to connect the trolling motor. I can't find it anywhere

    This is nice! I have a P.P. 10 also. I'm worried about weight. I think we can add 535 lb capacity. How much weight do the mods add?

    Did you screw the platform down before you put the trolling motor on

    I have the same boat and made some modifications similar to yours. I was able to make a removable casting deck that's more in the middle as I knew all the way in the front you would need a lot of counterweight in the back.

    How long is the shaft of the trolling motor

    • @bassin9114
      @bassin9114  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s the Minn Kota Edge and I’m pretty sure it is the 45” shaft.

    • @bobbymccready6752

      @Bassin' 911 thank you that's what I thought do you think a 51 would be to big for that boat

    • @bassin9114
      @bassin9114  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bobbymccready6752 you know, I think it would be a tad too long. Once you have a casting deck on it and standing up there it lowers the bow some and I haven’t been in a situation where I needed more than the 45”👍

      @Bassin' 911 ok that's what I was thinking but just want to make sure because I don't know much about the drop down trolling motors. I just want to thank you for all that you have answered thanks again brother

      @@bobbymccready6752 you’re welcome my friend. You won’t have any issues with the bow mount edge 45. It pulls that boat super easy. In fact on a well charged battery, I keep the power on 3 of 5 and sometimes that’s overkill. Tight lines in your new boat!

    I can understand why you’re doing what you’re doing, but you’ve added so much weight, you’ve taken away it’s A #1 feature, it’s lightness! I don’t have a place to store a 12 foot trailer on top of a boat. I leave mine in my garage against a wall. And you screwed into the plastic!

    • @bassin9114
      @bassin9114  ปีที่แล้ว

      In this boat I fish entirely by myself and I wanted the weight. I actually added more to prevent the boat from drifting in the back and it works beautifully. I do have a shop where I can keep it trailered and put it in using a boat ramp so I never have to lift or scoot it as you see in the video. I made it this way for ease of loading and unloading. It still floats in less than 12” of water so I haven’t affected any performance whatsoever. Yes… I drilled in plastic. You drill into glass boats too to add trolling motors, transducers (transom), GPS pucks etc. It’s not an issue if you don’t over do it. The only place I drilled on the whole boat was the riser block for the trolling motor. Good luck with your project and make it like your own.
