Being Japanese, Asami has both dark eyes and dark hair. She recently stopped wearing the blue contacts and personally I think she looks more natural for it. Like a lot of Japanese women she colours her hair. I asked a Japanese friend if it was possible that her hair would be brown or dark brown but he basically said that, genetically, if she’s Japanese, her natural hair colour, like Midori, Miyako, Miho, Fami and (presumably) Harupi, is black.
@ being in Japan, a week after from seeing the band live (again) and soon to see a Midori Kemper demo and Asami’s Xmas show, I’m *really* enjoying the holiday. Being (whisper it) from the U.K. Thanksgiving Day has little meaning and I imagine the Japanese celebrate it as “Labour Thanksgiving Day”, presumably as a result of post war US occupation.

Miyako and Midori are like stillness and movement. Miyako gives off a cool vibe, while Midori exudes passion. I think this twin guitar pairing, which is the polar opposite, creates the perfect balance.
I remember the first time I saw this video. Apart from a brief appearance on an old song this was Fami's first real piece with the band. I was very nervous. The band had been on hiatus for over a year following the departure of Miho and I, like many others, had feared that it was the end for this extraordinary ensemble. When they announced a new bassist there was an understandable nervousness that it just wasn't going to be the same. As a result I paid more attention to the bass lines than I normally would. Often the bass becomes subsumed beneath the virtuoso lead guitar licks but not in this instance. The brilliance of Fami's bass was evident right from the off and I remember sighing in relief. My favourite band was BACK and then some!
I was too busy being in disbelief on the departure of Miho but never got nervous or scared the ladies Asami and Midori often texted me back on Instagram reassuring me that they were coming back. The onslaught of many amazing bass players that went to audition was incredible, my last two picks was between Fami and Inchinose I loved them both and either one were going to be awesome. Hopefully on the next album Fami will compose a song or collaborate a composition.
Fami is a creative force by the way she attacks her bass. She wouldn’t be an integrated member of LB until she’s involved in the LB song writing. She’s only a part-timer due to her completing her schooling. Once she graduated, we will hear Fami in her full glory. Can’t wait.

In terms of teamwork, guitars synchronization/harmonization, Midori and Miyako (M&M) are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in metal today. In a review of LOVEBITES, a famous music critic wrote about Midori and Miyako: “It’s a crime to have two guitarists of such a high level in one band!”😊
When I come back and listen to this all I hear is Fami. The bass is so high in the mix. Maybe because its Fami's first official MV. And it is so delicious.

Those are well done tie dye, it takes effort to get them that cleanly done and centered. The day this music video was released was the same day I realized Lovebites was on top in the genre of power/thrash/speed and I'd have to set aside IM and JP on my all time list and move these women ahead.

At one point during the bass auditions, I was not following along very closely, and I was worried they would not be able to return at some point, Months had passed since their last update so when the showed up with their Fami reveal video, I became very excited to see what was coming, The Wolf Pack was all waiting for Lovebites to return to the scene. This song completely exceeded my expectations. This is when they became Lovebites 2.0. Fami joined the band just in time to add some of her bass licks to this song, which adds a whole new level because of how bold her bass runs are all over the song. To add to that, both Miyako & Midori improved their guitar sessions, especially Miyako. Haruna is adding such a powerful backbone with all those transitions and symbol work with her fills. Asami returned in such a powerful, amazing form. I am very thankful that Lovebites had the strength to return and plan out the Judgement day album while going through the recruitment process, most of all, I am thankful for Fami having the skills and tenacity to improve her Bass playing at such a young age, and having the initiative to apply herself to the Lovebites bass auditions. When determining if lovebites could make a return to the stage they asked themselves can they make a comeback and still be successful, so this song answered that question, and this is why they called it judgement day.⚔🛡🐺🐺

In the live version it's easier to hear Midori's constant movement along the fret board. It disappears a bit in the mix here, but she doesn't rest for a second during this song. The MV is pretty great but they're always best live. I read in an interview somewhere that during their hiatus Miyako practiced her speed hard so now they are both shredders though Miyako still does the soulful stuff better than most contemporaries. Unlike Halloween, this is not a festival we adopt in Australia, however I've had some great Thanksgiving meals with some American friends who are expats in S.E. Asia, including a memorable dinner in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. The challenge was to find a local restaurant that could cater for a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and they delivered! btw, re Judgement Day, the ladies perform that track live, note perfect, including the amazing solos. As we've come to expect.
"Oh s**t!" - I think that was the general reaction across the world when this came out.. lol. Someone just flipped the switch on Little Big Engine and let her go. This and STAND AND DELIVER were the first tracks to be presented from the new album with their new bassist, and what an album it turned out to be - probably one of the heavier, more consolidated releases in their catalogue to date... Oh and Midori takes part in bodybuilding competitions and had just completed one during the band's hiatus, just prior to this project, so there's no denying that the world got to embrace a little extra treat with her making the part her own! I believe Asami wears contacts, yes.

There not much to say for Lovebites except the fact they deserve to be in a big four, next to the greatest bands all time. Judgement Day was the first MV (I'm pretty sure) that had Fami playing bass. The MV and live are both excellent - but it's Lovebites so obviously that's always going to be a thing. Great tie-dyes, maaaaan, and sweet mandala design. I was a big wearer of them back in the day and even tried making some a couple of times. They were, to say the least, nowhere near the quality of yours! PS Midori was fresh from placing really high in a Japanese national body-building contest when this MV was made. As for contact lenses, it's very common for music artists to wear different coloured contacts at various times. Band-Maid all have grey eyes in one of ther recent MV's!

If you want to see Miyako's extraordinary talent, I suggest you a lesser known song, "The Crusade" (The Live Version of 2021). This song, which is a sort of tribute to the Iron Maiden, is contained in the EP "Battle Against Damnation" of 2018, and also exists in Music Video. But in the Live version Miyako does exceptional things on the guitar, an infinite tapping and other incredible technical acrobatics. She will surprise you again!
Hey, i was on a Grateful Dead concert in 1984 here in Bremen, Germany. And i have the feeling most of the people here have no plan who they are / were.
They recorded this song first and made first video too from new album which is also named Judgment day. Asami said that this video with dark parts presents your own fears. That is the greatest battle-If you can beat your fears than you can do anything. It makes sense to me... Its a great song really, fast, powerful, progressive power metal at highest level. Solos are crazy-Midori shreds during the whole song more or less. Gotta love it. And you can heat the bass all the time from behind with drumms like AK-47... Asami is amazing too-no weak point again, not even for a second....They are the metal band in the universe these days for sure-nobody can tell me otherwise
Hi from France: Miyako and Midori both started playing the piano around the age of 3 or 4. Miyako discovered the guitar around 18 and Midori around 20... And since they have a 2-year age gap, they discovered the guitar at the same time, you could say... But oddly enough, Midori seems to no longer be interested in the piano, while Miyako... the rest of the story is known. During an interview, Midori said she wanted to play as well as Kiko Loureiro... But she doesn't have many lessons to receive, she's THE Goddess of shred... What I appreciate when watching Midori is the delicacy, elegance, speed and precision of her left hand on the neck and the economy of gestures of her right hand which controls the pick. Happy turkey day and I am thankful for you guys and your channel, it's not an older one per se it was one before the new EP. Sorry Gringa but Lovebites doesn't affiliate themselves with anything evil or witchcraft of any kind, they said it in several interviews we are the total opposite of what metal is seen as. Asami does in fact wear eye contacts and blonde wigs. If you have never seen Judas Priest in the late 70s and early 80s Tipton and Downing were the monsters of shred the came along Murry and Smith of Iron Maiden, so the ladies fit very well in a very small group of masters.
Asami is fully Japanese and thus naturally has the usual dark hair and dark eyes. In the music video for "Winds of Transylvania," she had red contacts. You two wondering about that made me wonder if I could find a pic of her natural hair color on either of her Instagram accounts, but I couldn't find anything. I did find that LOVEBITES opened for Arch Enemy in early 2019 in Shanghai and Beijing, so that was cool. That would have been a killer show. Midori called this hairstyle her "viking" hair. Also, as badass as she looks, I have this fear that if I was face to face with her I'd be like, "She's so small and cute!" because she's only 4' 11". Fami uses two different Bacchus basses in this one. The headless one is her signature model. You can get your own for just under $2000!

I want to be her when I grow up.......LOL Midori is adored by most of the women in the Wolfpack, perhaps even more than the men. Forget her musical ability, you would have to spend hours daily in the gym to tone up to the stage this amateur bodybuilder has achieved. The M&M show is perfect but, the new bassist Fami (20 y,o.) fits right in. She isn't filling Miho's shoes, she brought her own ones with her along with her insane talent.

I remember the first time I saw this video. Apart from a brief appearance on an old song this was Fami's first real piece with the band. I was very nervous. The band had been on hiatus for over a year following the departure of Miho and I, like many others, had feared that it was the end for this extraordinary ensemble. When they announced a new bassist there was an understandable nervousness that it just wasn't going to be the same. As a result I paid more attention to the bass lines than I normally would. Often the bass becomes subsumed beneath the virtuoso lead guitar licks but not in this instance. The brilliance of Fami's bass was evident right from the off and I remember sighing in relief. My favourite band was BACK and then some!
I agree, Fami is a masterful phrase structure and dominates this song from behind the scenes.
I was too busy being in disbelief on the departure of Miho but never got nervous or scared the ladies Asami and Midori often texted me back on Instagram reassuring me that they were coming back. The onslaught of many amazing bass players that went to audition was incredible, my last two picks was between Fami and Inchinose I loved them both and either one were going to be awesome. Hopefully on the next album Fami will compose a song or collaborate a composition.
Fami is a creative force by the way she attacks her bass. She wouldn’t be an integrated member of LB until she’s involved in the LB song writing. She’s only a part-timer due to her completing her schooling. Once she graduated, we will hear Fami in her full glory. Can’t wait.

I became a fan in early 2022, I watched all their previous works and had bought all their albums.
At one point during the bass auditions, I was not following along very closely, and I was worried they would not be able to return at some point, Months had passed since their last update so when the showed up with their Fami reveal video, I became very excited to see what was coming, The Wolf Pack was all waiting for Lovebites to return to the scene. This song completely exceeded my expectations. This is when they became Lovebites 2.0. Fami joined the band just in time to add some of her bass licks to this song, which adds a whole new level because of how bold her bass runs are all over the song. To add to that, both Miyako & Midori improved their guitar sessions, especially Miyako. Haruna is adding such a powerful backbone with all those transitions and symbol work with her fills. Asami returned in such a powerful, amazing form.
I am very thankful that Lovebites had the strength to return and plan out the Judgement day album while going through the recruitment process, most of all, I am thankful for Fami having the skills and tenacity to improve her Bass playing at such a young age, and having the initiative to apply herself to the Lovebites bass auditions.
When determining if lovebites could make a return to the stage they asked themselves can they make a comeback and still be successful, so this song answered that question, and this is why they called it judgement day.⚔🛡🐺🐺

In the live version it's easier to hear Midori's constant movement along the fret board. It disappears a bit in the mix here, but she doesn't rest for a second during this song. The MV is pretty great but they're always best live.
I read in an interview somewhere that during their hiatus Miyako practiced her speed hard so now they are both shredders though Miyako still does the soulful stuff better than most contemporaries. In my not very humble opinion...😀

Unlike Halloween, this is not a festival we adopt in Australia, however I've had some great Thanksgiving meals with some American friends who are expats in S.E. Asia, including a memorable dinner in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. The challenge was to find a local restaurant that could cater for a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and they delivered!

"Oh s**t!" - I think that was the general reaction across the world when this came out.. lol. Someone just flipped the switch on Little Big Engine and let her go. This and STAND AND DELIVER were the first tracks to be presented from the new album with their new bassist, and what an album it turned out to be - probably one of the heavier, more consolidated releases in their catalogue to date... Oh and Midori takes part in bodybuilding competitions and had just completed one during the band's hiatus, just prior to this project, so there's no denying that the world got to embrace a little extra treat with her making the part her own! I believe Asami wears contacts, yes.

Happy Thanksgiving dear Tequila Amigo and la Gringa. Yeah Fami was the right choice for them she sparked them and now they look more energetic on the stage, even Miyako. There not much to say for Lovebites except the fact they deserve to be in a big four, next to the greatest bands all time. It's a shame band with such a phenomenal musicians to have around 150000 subscribers. I suggest to check the live version as well it's amazing. Sounds like La Gringa's Abuelo and I share a love of watching you two react every single day - and we give thanks to you for doing it as you're both always so positive and joyful and spread smiles every time. Judgement Day was the first MV (I'm pretty sure) that had Fami playing bass. The MV and live are both excellent - but it's Lovebites so obviously that's always going to be a thing. Great tie-dyes, maaaaan, and sweet mandala design. I was a big wearer of them back in the day and even tried making some a couple of times. They were, to say the least, nowhere near the quality of yours! PS Midori was fresh from placing really high in a Japanese national body-building contest when this MV was made. As for contact lenses, it's very common for music artists to wear different coloured contacts at various times. Band-Maid all have grey eyes in one of ther recent MV's!

If you want to see Miyako's extraordinary talent, I suggest you a lesser known song, "The Crusade" (The Live Version of 2021). This song, which is a sort of tribute to the Iron Maiden, is contained in the EP "Battle Against Damnation" of 2018, and also exists in Music Video. But in the Live version Miyako does exceptional things on the guitar, an infinite tapping and other incredible technical acrobatics. She will surprise you again!

Its a great song really, fast, powerful, progressive power metal at highest level. Solos are crazy-Midori shreds during the whole song more or less. Gotta love it. And you can heat the bass all the time from behind with drumms like AK-47... Asami is amazing too-no weak point again, not even for a second....They are the metal band in the universe these days for sure-nobody can tell me otherwise

Miyako and Midori both started playing the piano around the age of 3 or 4. Miyako discovered the guitar around 18 and Midori around 20... And since they have a 2-year age gap, they discovered the guitar at the same time, you could say...
But oddly enough, Midori seems to no longer be interested in the piano, while Miyako... the rest of the story is known.
During an interview, Midori said she wanted to play as well as Kiko Loureiro... But she doesn't have many lessons to receive, she's THE Goddess of shred...
What I appreciate when watching Midori is the delicacy, elegance, speed and precision of her left hand on the neck and the economy of gestures of her right hand which controls the pick. She is a perfect icon of how to hold and play a guitar...

Happy turkey day and I am thankful for you guys and your channel, it's not an older one per se it was one before the new EP. Sorry Gringa but Lovebites doesn't affiliate themselves with anything evil or witchcraft of any kind, they said it in several interviews we are the total opposite of what metal is seen as. Asami does in fact wear eye contacts and blonde wigs. If you have never seen Judas Priest in the late 70s and early 80s Tipton and Downing were the monsters of shred the came along Murry and Smith of Iron Maiden, so the ladies fit very well in a very small group of masters.

Asami is fully Japanese and thus naturally has the usual dark hair and dark eyes. In the music video for "Winds of Transylvania," she had red contacts. You two wondering about that made me wonder if I could find a pic of her natural hair color on either of her Instagram accounts, but I couldn't find anything. I did find that LOVEBITES opened for Arch Enemy in early 2019 in Shanghai and Beijing, so that was cool. That would have been a killer show.
Midori called this hairstyle her "viking" hair. Also, as badass as she looks, I have this fear that if I was face to face with her I'd be like, "She's so small and cute!" because she's only 4' 11".
Fami uses two different Bacchus basses in this one. The headless one is her signature model. You can get your own for just under $2000!

I knew you guys would love Judgment Day, that was the first release of the new album when it came out, also a huge step forward for the band as it showed a completely new dynamic with Fami.
However that is not the first time that we saw Fami with Love bites in a video, shortly after she was added to the band officially they made a short version of the song "Bravehearted" to introduce her officially as a member of the band.

This song was a modified version of an unreleased track from Haruna and Mihos previous band Destrose. This is also the only song from their early albums that was sung in Japanese instead of English, then translated into English with Asami and Miyako.
This is one of my favorite tracks they ever made, it is completely balls to the wall the entire song and has some amazing melodic changes throughout it that I believe cannot be done by anybody else but then in this way. It would be a great filler for next Wednesday on Lovebites Wednesday.

I want to be her when I grow up.......LOL Midori is adored by most of the women in the Wolfpack, perhaps even more than the men. Forget her musical ability, you would have to spend hours daily in the gym to tone up to the stage this amateur bodybuilder has achieved. The M&M show is perfect but, the new bassist Fami (20 y,o.) fits right in. She isn't filling Miho's shoes, she brought her own ones with her along with her insane talent.

I remember when this came out I though, yep.....Fami belongs there. Everything you said and Midori and Miyako is spot on. There's a place on the video that I want either as a screen saver or poster and that is around 4:19-4:20. When you see it you'll know what I mean. It's hard to hear in this video but Midori plays an awesome part during the chorus.
