After Midori-san's solo, M&M's synchronized guitar solo reminded me of the Eagles' "Hotel California." P.S. Five days ago I went to see the ❤️LOVEBITES❤️ fan club only event. Asami-san looked very small and slender during the talk show in the first half. However, during the live performance in the second half, 👑🎤Asami-san👑 seemed somehow bigger. When she sang, her voice was powerful and had a wide range, and her voice was loud enough to stand up to the roaring sounds of metal music. Asami-san is known among her fans as a big eater, but she is thin. She must be consuming a lot of calories to keep her voice up during a nearly two-hour concert. Miyako-san said in the interview that while people tend to focus on Asami-san's high range, Asami-san's mid range is more powerful than anyone else's and is her strongest point. Starstruck? Um...yes! When I was in line to meet them in Dallas I wasn't nervous at all. However, when I stepped in between Asami and Miyako for the picture it was like someone snatched my brain right out of my head. I had no idea what i was doing! Lol They are all absolutely lovely and their smiles are contagious, you can't help but feel good when in their presence. Can't wait to see them again!!!

Yes, Miyako definitely channeled Gary Moor in this one. If you want to hear her play a Gary Moore song, go on TH-cam and type "Miyako Parissiene Walkways." There's one where she played it at a music trade show, and one where she played it by herself in her home studio. I recommend the one in her home studio. There's also a video of her playing Moore's "The Loner," but it's not easy to find. On her piano EP (which also includes the Helloween song that you reacted to), she does her arrangement of "The Loner." It will bring a tear to your eyes. She has not released anymore music videos from that EP, so I would recommend buying it, or downloading it from iTunes. The whole EP is amazing. Also, I have to comment on the ending of this song where Midori channels Jimi Hendrix. I swear if couldn't see her playing it, I would believe it was Hendrix.

I met them in Dallas at the meet and greet after the show and got to talk for a couple of seconds with Miyako and even though it was quick they were really nice to everyone. It was worth the effort to see them live, I definitely recommend it.
This power ballad is equivalent to songs like Beyond the Realms of Death, Tales of Mystery, Lonely is the Word, Lady Starlight, Hotel California, Stairway to Heaven solid and pure classic.
Midori and Miyako as individuals are amongst the best guitarists out there, and there are a lot of great guitarists out there, but only a small percentage are top tier, but I can't think of any other duo who are as tight as M&M in synchronised harmonies and the way they seem to blend their tones to perfection time after time. The same can be said about the rhythm section, Miho and now Fami always on point with the awesome Haruna. And of course the queen of vocals and stage general Asami has, imo, the ability to change the style of her voice to match the song they're doing. A 💯 supergroup is all I'm saying. Especially Miyako an Midori on first acoustics , than on electric guitars....I just have no word to describe, out of this world playing.
Now you understand why the E songs are held in such high esteem. This is, and has been from the actual day I discovered them, my favourite individual LOVEBITES performance. Now, go and listen to the studio version and see *why* the ending is so dramatic (hint, because they can’t fade out live). Also, I’m not sure that you have reacted to “Addicted” yet. If not, when you do react to it, pay close attention to the acoustic intro because Miyako reprised it at the opposite end of the album with the fade outro. This performance is also absolute proof that Asami leaves a piece of herself on every stage she stands on.

This is such a perfect power ballad, a masterpiece, it is showcasing asami's greatness as a vocalist. It's a perfect song for a movie, when the character has no choice but to look back on what happened, they must change their ways and do the right thing, as they are at the precipice of their own demise. This song is playing while they recall their memories. The climax of the story, which pushes the character toward the resolution.

You probably won’t get to this comment with so many, but I hope you do. In my line of work I have meet hundreds of celebrities probably approaching a thousand by now. To be honest, I could have cared less meeting 99% of them. When I came face to face with Lovebites I was a deer caught in the headlights. Sure I wanted to respect their culture and not bother them as I’m sure it happens all the time. However, I felt the deep desire to drop to my knees and wash their feet with my tears. It took every bit of my self control to simply say hello and move a few seats away. What fantastic talent. I hope they realized my respect and didn’t think I was being rude in some form. Love this band. ❤️🦊
Thanks for Lovebites Wednesdays. Epilogue always brings a tear to my eye, just because of the raw emotion in Asami's voice. I'm not normally that into power ballads but this is an exquisite piece of music. Hopefully will be in the setliist in March, but equally know that if not the shows will be amazing.

If Miyako's solo is perfect, but very traditional, Midori's gives me goosebumps, what am I saying? tears my hair out!!! (On this subject, Miyako messes up and forgets to give her hand at the beginning of Midori's solo, even if she quickly catches up, still... she messes up!) And as for Midori, this outro, but what an outro!!! She's a Goddess! And in 2018, when I discovered LOVEBITES, it was Midori first and Miho in stride who made me fall unconditionally in love with this band... Enjoy Wolfpack!

This song always reminds me of the best 80s power ballads. Scorpions were huge in that area with plenty of amazing ballads and this just harks back to the best of the 80s! It's nice to see Midori play slow and emotional for once and not just put every fast guitarist out there in their place with her speed and accuracy 😀

I went to all 4 of their US shows this year (all VIP) and all 5 of the ladies are so down to Earth. Miyako even recognized me from Twitter and such buying all of their merch and posting them. Lol. I was in awe meeting them in Atlanta and by the LA show was talking to them (the best you can when their English isn’t the greatest) as if I had known them for years. Such amazing people as well as amazing musicians.
Apropos fingerprints. I played guitar when I was younger, and that was only nylon stringed classic guitars. Still I remember the pain! When the finger tips was so sensitive that you could only touch something and the pain went all the way up to the left elbow. Eventually the skin almost turned to bone and it was all fine. The side of the right thumb also got hardened.

"Natural Born Headbanger" Miho is the band's founder, the originator of the idea of such a band, the one who chose who the members would be, the band's leader for her entire tenure, the composer of both music & lyrics of 1/3 of all songs during her tenure leading to 1/3 of all songs chosen by fans for their "In The Beginning" Best Of release right through today's setlists commonly including 1/3 of Miho's songs. Miho's continued contribution to EVERY LOVEBITES show. These qualities extend beyond her stage-presence and bass guitar skills, along with having met those needs throughout every gig/show/tour/promo/fan-interaction from the "birthing" of LOVEBITES including international recognition as Golden Gods of Heavy Metal's "Best New Band" in 2018 from Metal Hammer Magazine poll and delivering (along with all members) such as 11 shows in 13 days while in UK, 10,000km from home in only their 3rd year of existence. Selling-out show after show after show, Miho "delivered" such that "countless" attempts were made by the other members & staff/management to convince her to not withdraw. "Personal reasons" brought the need for a worldwide search and Fami to join as new "5th Element". Yes, Miyako definitely channeled Gary Moor in this one. If you want to hear her play a Gary Moore song, go on TH-cam and type "Miyako Parissiene Walkways." There's one where she played it at a music trade show, and one where she played it by herself in her home studio. I recommend the one in her home studio. There's also a video of her playing Moore's "The Loner," but it's not easy to find. On her piano EP (which also includes the Helloween song that you reacted to), she does her arrangement of "The Loner." It will bring a tear to your eyes. She has not released anymore music videos from that EP, so I would recommend buying it, or downloading it from iTunes. The whole EP is amazing. Also, I have to comment on the ending of this song where Midori channels Jimi Hendrix. I swear if couldn't see her playing it, I would believe it was Hendrix.

Thanks for reviewing this astonishing and deeply moving song from Lovebites. Asami’s vocals and Miyako’s blues solos are real tear-jerkers.
I met them in Dallas at the meet and greet after the show and got to talk for a couple of seconds with Miyako and even though it was quick they were really nice to everyone. It was worth the effort to see them live, I definitely recommend it.
This power ballad is equivalent to songs like Beyond the Realms of Death, Tales of Mystery, Lonely is the Word, Lady Starlight, Hotel California, Stairway to Heaven solid and pure classic.
Midori and Miyako as individuals are amongst the best guitarists out there, and there are a lot of great guitarists out there, but only a small percentage are top tier, but I can't think of any other duo who are as tight as M&M in synchronised harmonies and the way they seem to blend their tones to perfection time after time. The same can be said about the rhythm section, Miho and now Fami always on point with the awesome Haruna. And of course the queen of vocals and stage general Asami has, imo, the ability to change the style of her voice to match the song they're doing. A 💯 supergroup is all I'm saying. Amazing reaction, thank you. I expect nothing less from You two. For me one of the best metal ballads at least few decades back, Excellent performance of all five girls. Especially Miyako an Midori on first acoustics , than on electric guitars....I just have no word to describe, out of this world playing.
Now you understand why the E songs are held in such high esteem. This is, and has been from the actual day I discovered them, my favourite individual LOVEBITES performance. Now, go and listen to the studio version and see *why* the ending is so dramatic (hint, because they can’t fade out live). Also, I’m not sure that you have reacted to “Addicted” yet. If not, when you do react to it, pay close attention to the acoustic intro because Miyako reprised it at the opposite end of the album with the fade outro. This performance is also absolute proof that Asami leaves a piece of herself on every stage she stands on.

This is such a perfect power ballad, a masterpiece, it is showcasing asami's greatness as a vocalist. It's a perfect song for a movie, when the character has no choice but to look back on what happened, they must change their ways and do the right thing, as they are at the precipice of their own demise. This song is playing while they recall their memories. The climax of the story, which pushes the character toward the resolution.

You probably won’t get to this comment with so many, but I hope you do. In my line of work I have meet hundreds of celebrities probably approaching a thousand by now. To be honest, I could have cared less meeting 99% of them. When I came face to face with Lovebites I was a deer caught in the headlights. Sure I wanted to respect their culture and not bother them as I’m sure it happens all the time. However, I felt the deep desire to drop to my knees and wash their feet with my tears. It took every bit of my self control to simply say hello and move a few seats away. What fantastic talent. I hope they realized my respect and didn’t think I was being rude in some form. This is another masterpiece by Lovebites. Those guitars sing and cry and it showcases Asami’s vocals and she exudes so much emotion, and also nice piano. To me, the best power ballad of all time. Waiting for tomorrow (maybe “Glory to the world?)
I think Miyako shows that is often the most introvert people that have the deepest souls and are the most emotional.
But ... to be fair ...the ending by Midori! She has more depth than her extrovert behavior hints at. They are a treasure M&M!

This song, and this version in particular, shows the true side of Midori. It brings out her blues roots. If Miyako's solo is perfect, but very traditional, Midori's gives me goosebumps, what am I saying? tears my hair out!!! (On this subject, Miyako messes up and forgets to give her hand at the beginning of Midori's solo, even if she quickly catches up, still... she messes up!)
And as for Midori, this outro, but what an outro!!! She's a Goddess! And in 2018, when I discovered LOVEBITES, it was Midori first and Miho in stride who made me fall unconditionally in love with this band...

This song always reminds me of the best 80s power ballads. Scorpions were huge in that area with plenty of amazing ballads and this just harks back to the best of the 80s! It's nice to see Midori play slow and emotional for once and not just put every fast guitarist out there in their place with her speed and accuracy 😀

Just a beautiful song, I totally admit that even though I am supposed to be a grown up old dude I ALWAYS cry like a baby to both guitar solos and especially to Midori's ending. When I was (much) younger Thin Lizzy were my band. I was lucky enoug to see them many times, and many times with Gary Moore.
As fellow Wolfpacker @alastairmcintyre says Miyako shows her inner Gary so beutifully here. I'm absolutely sure he would have been so impressed and appreciative of her and LOVEBITES.

I went to all 4 of their US shows this year (all VIP) and all 5 of the ladies are so down to Earth. Miyako even recognized me from Twitter and such buying all of their merch and posting them. Lol. I was in awe meeting them in Atlanta and by the LA show was talking to them (the best you can when their English isn’t the greatest) as if I had known them for years. Such amazing people as well as amazing musicians.
Apropos fingerprints. I played guitar when I was younger, and that was only nylon stringed classic guitars. Still I remember the pain! When the finger tips was so sensitive that you could only touch something and the pain went all the way up to the left elbow. Eventually the skin almost turned to bone and it was all fine. The side of the right thumb also got hardened.
Thank you. I have heard this masterpiece must be well over 100 times but every time Miho plays her first notes that’s my self control gone. Her bass playing hits me in the feels every time. This song is faultless. See you tomorrow!

I understand & share your appreciation for "Shining Fingers" Fami's skill, contributions & presence.
"Natural Born Headbanger" Miho is the band's founder, the originator of the idea of such a band, the one who chose who the members would be, the band's leader for her entire tenure, the composer of both music & lyrics of 1/3 of all songs during her tenure leading to 1/3 of all songs chosen by fans for their "In The Beginning" Best Of release right through today's setlists commonly including 1/3 of Miho's songs. Miho's continued contribution to EVERY LOVEBITES show.
These qualities extend beyond her stage-presence and bass guitar skills, along with having met those needs throughout every gig/show/tour/promo/fan-interaction from the "birthing" of LOVEBITES including international recognition as Golden Gods of Heavy Metal's "Best New Band" in 2018 from Metal Hammer Magazine poll and delivering (along with all members) such as 11 shows in 13 days while in UK, 10,000km from home in only their 3rd year of existence. Selling-out show after show after show, Miho "delivered" such that "countless" attempts were made by the other members & staff/management to convince her to not withdraw.
"Personal reasons" brought the need for a worldwide search and Fami to join as new "5th Element".
There is just so much more to Miho's conception, creation & myriad contributions to LOVEBITES than 'bass skills' that it is not fair TO FAMI to compare what Fami is able to bring, especially since her bass-part in all songs released before her joining are performed as Miho wrote & performed those bass parts.
I suggest we avoid attempting to compare Fami with Miho. It's not fair TO FAMI.
I am grateful for Fami's presence as "5th Element" and anticipate deepening inclusion in songwriting & arrangements. Her stage presence is decidedly unique and welcome. Her techniques are mesmerizing.

@@dregeye Very well said, Miho definitely had a great influence on this band. Regardless of how people view it, it will never be good if fans are making comparisons of the two. I already picked up on a few random LB haters dumping on them, using the Miho/Fami thing to wedge doubt into the fans hopes. It almost has become difficult to say anything regarding Fami because of it. ( I may just delete this later, idk.)
