Jim..That would definitely seem to be the case. It would probably also speed up the cook times as well. I need to give it a shot. Thanks for the feedback!
hey! I love your videos. I know this one is old, but i was wondering since I am thinking about purchasing the same one. Any reason why you went with the rotisserie full span instead of the half span? also for the door type is it better to go with the swing down instead of the swing out? thanks!!
I had a plan to cook a whole suckling pig 🐖 on the grill and would need the full span to achieve this. That’s the only reason. I chose the swing down at the time because it made more sense to me for adding fuel without the worry of the door possibly closing with the swing out option. Hope this helps.
How are you supposed to get it through the hole when you already have food mounted up on it? Or do they expect you to stand there over your hot fire and load the meat onto the rod? That seems pretty silly
This is not the intent. I totally installed incorrectly. There is another bracket which allows you to load the rotisserie without having to place it through the hole. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for checking out the video.
@@DskiGrillz I checked out your other video where you did the chicken rotisserie style and saw that the handle is removeable! Keep up the good work, awesome videos and great looking food my friend!
@@dmdm9198 I do. It allows me to cook a multitude meats and vegetables at different temperatures. The versatility from being able to sear a steak on one side while grilling mushrooms and asparagus on the other side is unparalleled. Hope this helps.
@@DskiGrillz just replied to your Chicken video with the same question. Is that one grill the 53 or 60 inch model, the link doesn’t bring you to the exact model you have
Interesting contraption....looks much better than their cheap Mexican made knock off of the Gabby’s Grill they call the santa corona in which they stole.
Provo Pit Barbecue Thanks as always for checking out the video. I put a whole chicken on the rotisserie about a week ago. It not easy getting all these videos uploaded in a timely manner. Sorry to hear about your experience with Sunterra. Take care.

John Knapp Hey John..lol, I don’t think I could ever part with the summit. I just smoked two Cornish Hens a few days ago stuffed with dirty rice!! It’s still a part of the weekly cooking arsenal. Thanks for watching as always sir!!
Question.. If you had the griddle pan above the rotisserie, would it reflect the heat back down on your meat, creating an oven effect?
