As a Michigan fan I’m nervous, but to be fair I have been nervous the past 3 years
As a Texas Fan, I'm thinking you should be asking yourself, does Michigan have a definite QB1 who can beat Texas? It will get interesting if Michigan doesn't...
You have no qb and your “heisman” candidate running back is not anywhere near as good as yall say he is.
@@HotRod82I don’t think we need to. Our identity has been run first, throw when we want or have to 3rd and long. Win the time of possession and slowly score an eventually 30 points. If we can maintain that, we don’t need a show out QB like Texas has. It all depends on defense keeping Texas to 24 points or so, or less
@@Mmmmmk247 There's no world where Michigan puts up 30. If Texas scores 27+ its basically over, but agree it will be a fantastic game if Michigan can holds them to less than 24.
@@EM_G10 you’re basing all this off of one game against a solid Fresno team
Texas is scared 😂
I’m still picking Texas !
No kiddin.
Crazy how much people are writing off Michigan completely with the defense they have. Defense alone will keep them in every game.
Go Blue! Everybody’s fast till they get hit in the mouth. 😂
Honestly, this is the exact same shit people said about Michigan last year before every big game.
Michigan only got 5 returning starters from last season yall not the same
@@lyonheart316National champions
Yup. What can Texas do that Washington last year couldn’t?
Still stand by my summer prediction of Texas 34-16
@@ramon9386 I like your enthusiasm... We'll go with that. Thanks.
Pretty decent call.
Pretty close prediction.
I think michigan shows more than last week and the defense stands on their heads to keep it close.. texas by 7
4:11 although he hasn't been featured, Cole Cabana is a speedy running back. I think Mullings, Cabana, Edwards, paired with Orji, and Loveland would make a great spread option RPO offense.
I want orji to be great but he can't hitvthe broad side of a barn. he can't be the starter teams will just load the box know orgi cant win throwing the ball
@@N8TheGreatG Orji definitely isn't accurate by any means, but that's why he's a spread option quarterback. Extremely physical runner, and he's not going to reliably throw past 10 yards. Warren hasn't really played since highschool, and so far hasn't showed he's accurate with the medium or deep ball throws.
It doesn't matter if teams load the box or not, which wouldn't be the case anyway, they're not running Flexbone. That's where the RPO comes into play. Michigan has basically always been a rushing team, as well as other teams. Orji will hit some passes from time to time, but the coaches know utilize what you've got, and their personnel on offense is to run the ball. O-line needs to improve. Just think of the second half of the Penn State game last year.
As a Texas fan and grad, I obviously don't travel in the same circles as Ari and his wife :) I don't think this is going to be a blowout by either team. This feels like a low scoring, 3-point win type of game. Michigan will be able to run between the tackles, get yards and limit Texas possessions. I don't think Texas will have a lot of success running inside. Michigan's front is just too good. They will manufacture a running game with quick passes to running back in motion and try and get that speed on the outside in space.
I think Texas will try and lull Michigan to sleep with quick passes, the screen game, etc. to limit Michigan's blitz effectiveness and get Ewers into a rhythm. That should open up some opportunities to try some deep balls later in the game. And I have this sneaky feeling that special teams could be an important part of this one. I don't hear many people talking about that aspect of the game.
M has an ace up their sleeve with an amazing field goal toe. Could help to be an upset factor.
@@davidschneider6306 Where was the Ace?
Texas by two Td’s over a weakened Michigan team this year.

Michigan 24
U think Texas going to cover the point spend? At Michigan. 🧐
@@mattbunts7513 Maybe. With all due respect to the defending champs, if the Horns go up by 2 scores, they will be tough to catch. Blue, even with their defense isn’t built to run down explosive offensive teams from behind, and playing in Ann Arbor won’t matter; It’s not exactly the loudest place to play a game. I expect a hard hitting competitive game but I predict Texas will pull away in the 4th, possibly down to 1 or 2 key defensive plays. Blue is still solid, but Texas has the more complete squad at this moment. Should be a great game.
@@jakinthebox7309 I agree 😎
@@mattbunts7513 Xichigan will be down a few scores early....the game will be over pretty much but Xichigan will be out of their game plan trying to catch up for the remaining time. Moore sounds like he doesnt have much confidence in this game because he doesnt have the personnel. He doesnt even know anything about the Texas roster which is a sign of something bad for them.
Texas can't score more than 21 at most. Wake up, time for work buddy...
I remember last year when Michigan couldn't stop all 3 Washington recievers. I remember when Michigan couldn't stop all of ○hio's nfl recievers the past 3 years. So I expect they won't know how to stop Texas recivers as well.
Remember when Michigan couldn't compete with Alabama's SEC speed last year?
@@justinschramexactly🤣
Didn't realize that yall are the same team as last year. We'll just forfeit.
@@drm2364 better defense than last year so Idk how tf y'all figure on scoring 30+ on us
@@drm2364nah, we will. Apparently, Michigan is the only team who is a finished product in week 1. It's over. Michigan won't get better from week to week. The new players won't get better. We'll just come back next year and hope the new players next year look better in week 1.
Michigans secondary besides Will Johnson is being underrated. This will be a close game
The best player is Quinn Ewers by a country mile
Not gonna lie...Arch is my guy. But I support Sark for sticking with Ewers this season.
The wild card is Donovan Edwards. Michigan's only clear offensive weapon is Colston Loveland. He can't do it alone. They need someone else to show up.
Last week wasn't pretty. But a couple things: 1- Fresno is no FCS cupcake. They were 8-1 and ranked last year before the injury bug bit them hard, and they fell off. A lot of the production from that team returned. 2 - It's a new team with a new coach but I do believe the DNA is still there from Harbaugh. They do what it takes to win the easier games and nothing more. They will sometimes get a scare from a good team like Fresno. But when they face a tough team, they bring it. That said, even if they do bring it, they still might not have enough under the hood to get the win. But I don't think I would put too much stock in the apparent troubles they had with Fresno. I think it will be a close game and I would expect Texas to win something like 20-17. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new fire in Michigan and they get a W though.
I’m not guaranteeing they’ll be successful on Saturday, but Sark has a history of not shying away from elite DBs. With they target one side more than the other? Almost certainly. But avoid one side all together? Precedent tells us no they won’t.
It’s pick your poison time for Michigan. Will Johnson may shut down whoever they line him up on but that means you have other mismatches potentially on other parts of the field.
Texas brought in 3 receivers through the transfer portals that were each the #1 receiver on the teams they came from.
As long as Quinn gets rid of the ball fast, Texas can beat Michigan. Quinn can’t hold the ball. If he does Michigan will get to him.
Up tempo, quick hitting stuff from Texas to take advantage of their team speed. That’s what I’m hoping for as a Texas fan.
24 - 21 Michigan, let’s go blue!
Texas beatdown by 20+
Texas can't even score 20 on Michigan...... shhhhhhhhhh, you sound like a moron.
I'm ready for another Archibald show in the 4th.
Will Johnson is not the only good player in the secondary Barry and Paige are both really good as well
I think with Texas it’s just confusing them with routes. Bond, Golden, Bolden, Cook, Moore and Wingo. Embarrassment of riches at WR.

Since everyone is writing off Michigan on paper, we may as well skip the game and award Texas the win. No need to play the games if paper & narratives are this skewed, huh?
Almost like no team or players can improve from game to game.
@justinschram Yeah, lets forget they beat a quality Fresno team by 20 while most other teams ran up the score on dog shit teams that Fresno would have beaten easily. This is why it doesn't pay to play quality opponents early. There is no upside to it.
You may want to do that because you dont want to see Texas demolish Xichigan.

@@brettk9316bro go home pennstate kiddo you play nobody every and get by the actual teams. Michigan would take you to the woodshed
From what I've seen over the years, competent QB play is going to be the #1 factor in how far a team regresses after a great season. You can go back to the USC teams that were contenders for almost a decade with multiple great QBs. You can look at Alabama, and what happened when they did and then didn't have a great QB ready to go. Texas going from Vince to Colt, and then to nothing much. Clemson going from Watson to Lawrence. It doesn't matter how well you've developed the rest of your talent. Unless your defense is so good it can suffocate any opponent, and your o-line is so dominant you can march down the field, bad QB play is going to sink you.
Everybody got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
Texas punches back.
That means Michigan's plan goes out the window EARLY
Does that plan include Connor Stallions?
There’s only one “elite” team here and it isn’t Michigan.
I’m calling it right now, we will get atleast one explosive Donavan Edward’s touchdown this Saturday
I am neither a Michigan or a Texas fan I'm in Ohio State buckeye fan in this prediction of the score is not because of my extreme dislike of Michigan it's because I truly believe it Michigan lost a lot they are not the same team as they were last year Texas will win this game easily and big 34 to 12 somewhere in that ballpark.

Monumental in showing how much cheating helps
The only 5 stars Michigan had were JJ And Edwards. They develop better than anyone and Sherrone was a big part of that development. Not saying Michigan will win, but every year leading up to the national championship was the same narratives. “How is Michigan gonna win without Hutchinson?, how’s Michigan gonna win without Daxton Hill? How can Michigan win when JJ can’t throw the deep ball? How can Michigan win without their head coach?” Etc. etc. The fact is Michigan only cares about one game every year. So win or lose the experience will help motivate and mold the team to get closer to that goal. They’ve proven that the culture has changed. Back in the day Will Johnson drops that pick six against Fresno. Back in the day the defense gets frustrated and allows more scores. Back in the day it felt like Michigan players couldnt make the big plays. Johnson, Mullings, and Loveland showed that things have changed. They’re still fighting out there. And who knows, maybe Edwards shows up big like he has in other games and just balls out on em. We play the games for a reason, there’s always a chance!
I believe Edwards will go off. I wouldn’t be surprised if they run for 400 yards on them. Make no mistake about it, Michigan will control the tempo of this game. They will force Texas to play their style and it will not be pretty for Texas
@@danielpeters6937 all the Michigan fans stroking their ego about their program culture and defense from last season seem to forget you have only 3 returning starters and a new head coach and played like shit last week. Don't get me wrong, if the Michigan defense shows up it could be a great game, but who's style is 'their style' exactly? This is an inexperienced team and a program under new leadership and a major culture change at the top after the cheating scandal broke last season.
Texas defense is hungry.
I won’t be watching I’ll be watching Arkansas at Oklahoma State which is on at the same time.
Also, if not already mentioned there were 12 different receivers of the football against Colorado State. Again, another issue when trying to figure out who you’re going to lock down.
MI needs to combat TX offense by keeping them off the field.
Michigan will get blown out. They have a horrible qb and that is the reason why they’ll get blown out
I don’t understand this. Why are they treating this game like it’s some big thing? It would be if all the producers from 2023 Michigan were still playing, but this game is gonna be like Ohio State vs. Iowa lol would have been awesome to see Michigan play Texas in the Natty instead of Washington.

Why are we calling either team elite yet but especially Michigan. They have average QB play at best and just don’t have the firepower on either side of the ball that they did last year. However because they are defending NC’s and there is the logo on the helmet if Texas wins it will be like beating Georgia from a narrative standpoint.
People are talking about Texas climbing in polls if they win. Why? They are supposed to beat Michigan as Michigan is ranked lower. Why would it be such a big deal for a team to win a game that they are supposed to win. Then they jump someone in the polls because of beating a team they were supposed to? You watch if Texas wins I’ll be spot on. They will jump someone in the polls for beating a team that they should have and beating a team that is a shell of their NCAA team.
Yet if Michigan wins people will say "Texas is an overrated team"
It goes both ways.
Because a win at Michigan is better than Ohio state beating Akron and Western Michigan, so they’d most likely jump them
