Arin has a truly uncanny ability to miss every single major scare. It was honestly impressive how deftly he avoided seeing anything weird at all until he spun the chair.

That's your problem." We were SO grounded. 100% worth it.

We had christmas ornaments that had this mechanism in, it would play a Christmas carol. It was HELL with a dog that constantly barks. My dad would turn it off but we'd sneak back over and turn it on when he wasn't looking
When I was in highschool, we got a security system. The only thing I can remember is one year, on Christmas, someone shook open a garbage bag to throw away the wrapping paper, and the security system mistook the sound for broken glass and went off.
They mentioned the dev showed promise by pulling off the investigator jumpscare, but the fact that he included a secret for people who walk in the wrong direction is what really sold me on this guy! Love it when devs reward you for pushing the limits

When Dan said he wished it was a gardening game, it made me think they need to play Botany Manor. You play as an elderly British woman in this big manor house and there are puzzles you need to solve to grow various rare plants.
I love the idea of checking your home security cameras while on vacation to see the guy you paid to house sit walk in the door and immediately just start flinging your possessions across the room
Dan's ability to dissolve into himself over *kind of* spooky vibes is really entertaining. The game has told them that people were going missing, they took out some trash with suspicious bones sticking out of it, and there was a jumpscare with the investigator at the door. Just those 3 things alone was enough for Dan to sound like he was fully turning his body away from the screen to be able to explain the TH-cam swearing thing. They didn't even see what would be a danger to them yet and his voice was shaking 😂

I had a clapper a few years ago! The way it worked was you’d plug in your light, I used my lamp, into the special outlet and then it would flick on/off if you clapped/made any noise loud enough twice. I loved it, I’d use it to turn off my lamp from my bed before I went to sleep. I ended up getting rid of it because it produced so much heat I was worried about fire hazards.

It’ll never happen, but one of my all time dream playthroughs is Dan playing 100+ episodes of Stardew Valley by himself. I feel like once he started to figure out how to get things done and be productive daily, watching him learn and get better would be a delight and it would turn into the most relaxing playthrough ever on the channel.

The clapper was a box you plugged into the wall then you plug your lamp into it. It also worked for coughing so when I was sick the lights where flashing till I pulled the plug out x_x it is handy for the Christmas tree tho

i use string lights as my only source of light in my room to help wind down for the night. i have them on a timer. they went out in perfect sync when the lights turned off in the game and i jumped so fast i nearly fell off my bed 😂😂😂
So the owner of this house has clap lights in every room…and no hose. Talk about priorities.

The clapper was a box you plugged into the wall then you plug your lamp into it. It also worked for coughing so when I was sick the lights where flashing till I pulled the plug out x_x it is handy for the Christmas tree tho
