Diana you’re so good with choosing fabrics for each project- if you or Ellie Mac did project boxes and supplied fabric you use in the sew along videos I would so buy it!
Glad you’re back home! I see you’re wearing your cute new top that I watched you embellish the other day. Looks cute.🙌 I’d need at least one closure of some kind towards the top. It could even be a large decorative brooch-yes, I am old enough to have several. 😉 Thanks for sharing your latest lovely make & the free pattern link.🎊
If you add a little tricot interfacing to the seams it will help with wavy stretch. Also try playing with the differential knob on your serger. Sometimes you can get most of the wave out of the serged edge. I’m not sure if this would work but try the buttonholes on a scrap piece first and maybe lay a piece of tissue paper on top and bottom. It might help if the buttonhole samples is getting misshapen or your machine tries to eat it. Stretchy fabrics are sometimes hard to work with and intimidating at times. But your cardigan came out very cute.
Thanks for the tip! I do agree that I should check the settings. I usually keep them the same and just steam but it would probably be much easier if I just did it the right way haha
If you want to add buttons, put some tissue underneath the fabric when you sew the buttonholes. That should help with the needle pulling on the fabric.
Thank you for doing this sew along. I’ve been wanting to make it but I am nervous I won’t get the size right. I made one of their other cardigans similar to this one and it came out huge, unwearable:(. 😊
Lovely cardigan. I'd live to see tge new wrap trousers from tiana's closet. I've had a look at the instructions but scratching my head lol. Thank you 😊
I love cardigans. I didn't know you went to North Carolina. Thank you. Regarding the buttonhols you may want to use wash away stabilizer. Give it a try like that. I get sulky. You can use it on the top and buttom. Diana I want to send a personal message to you. Where do I do it. Nothing bad. I follow your excellent tutorials. ❤
Thanks for the tip! Yes, my husband and I work for a non profit called Heats with Hands which is based in NC so we were able to be there to help ♥️ I am on IG and on FB under Eloise.Ezra you can message me on either of those ♥️ instagram.com/eloise.ezra/profilecard/?igsh=MTZnaWRqdHV6bTFiaw==
Sergers are fiddly, knit fabric should be practiced on before sewing your main project. Cute jacket. Maybe make it again with a more cooperative fabric.
Thank you for coming to NC to help us. I wish I could have met you while you were here. This sweater is awesome. Thanks for the sew-along. ❤ Diann
Yes!! I will be most likely be back to NC in December! We work for a non profit in Swannanoa so we will heading that way again ♥️
@@eloiseezra5194 that area was so hard hit. Even more so than we were. Thank you so much for all your doing. ❤️ Diann

I actually just saw this tip on a video the other day and might need to give it a try!
You look sooo adorable in a hat! Love the cardi too! 😊
Thank you!! 😊
Love the sweater darling! I need to make one for my granddaughter.
You should!
Love it. It looks great without the buttons. I'd skip the buttons too.
Thank you!! ♥️
No buttons it’s beautiful the way it is
Thank you!!! ♥️
It looks beautiful with or without buttons. What do you feel best in, that's what counts!!! 🌹🌹🌹

Great idea! I need to look into those!
Top tip-Turn your differential feed up to eliminate the wavy seams.
Is the differential set correctly on the serger as the seams are wavy?
Probably not. I don’t usually change it. I just end up steaming the seams to bring them back to their correct shape ♥️
Thanks Diana for size info as I’m the same size as you just about and the link to fabric used 😊
You’re so welcome!
You have a dress form behind you what brand is that I am looking for one.

How about fake buttons with snaps underneath
Lovely thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
I don't use my serger to construct garments bc I'm afraid I can't gauze the seam allowance correctly 😮
Skip the buttons. Maybe there is something to use to clip the front closed?
That’s a good idea!
Does the pattern run true or large?
I think it was pretty true to size ♥️
Skip the buttons. It looks beautiful as is.
Thank you!
Nice
Thanks
HELLO. HOW DO I MAKE THE SWEATER LONGER. I LOVE THIS SWEATER, I WOULD LEAVE THE BUTTONS OFF. I'LL BE MAKING IT FOR CHURCH.
To add length you could just lengthen the hem line but you will also need to add the same amount of length to the front facing.
@@eloiseezra5194 THANK YOU SO MUCH. YESSSSS. HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.OMG I'M EXCITED.

Yes, but I am one to just go for it haha once steamed it went back to normal and there is not wavy any more ♥️
