Finally, I met someone who doesn't like adding pockets. I completely agree cos it adds that extra bulkiness to the silhouette of the dress. Thank you, the dress is beautiful ❤️
I hate making binding too! That’s why I bought those bias binding maker tools where you pull the fabric through the tool and it comes out folded so that all,you need to do is iron!
Omg 🤩🤩🤩👌👌👌beautiful like all your tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You’re amazing and I like your personality, always in a good mood. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m super conscious to match stripes! As you know. But when they are this thin, you can take extra time to match them, the fabric will slip a little, and no match. I agree with you on this one!!!
Binding is somewhat of a pain, but it’s probably worth it.🤷♀️😂 Good job! 🎉 Use a piece of rubberized shelf liner under your serger to limit its sliding some.
I just sewed mine! It was the first time I’d sewn binding like this, and I found it super easy. I took longer than an hour😂, more like an afternoon. But I did also make a muslin of the short top to check the size of the straps - you can’t adjust them later. I had to pinch the top of the straps up until I was happy where the front sat over my breasts, and ended up cutting 7cm off the length of the straps for the actual make. I want to make more now, some tanks and perhaps some hacks with ruffles and layers😊
I use the bias foot on my coverstitch machine to do my binding. It folds the fabric and sews it on at the same time. It's a life changer! 😉It would have saved you a lot of time and it always looks perfect!
For those that had made this pattern... how´s the sizing? By checking my measurements and looking at the size chart I can´t imagine being the size I fall into. I´m too lazy to sew a mock first.

Yes!!! I’m not the only one who is over all the pocket hype 😂😂😂
It depends on the style and fabric

Thanks so much 😊
I love this dress, I’ve made 3 now. Also a couple tops to go with Jim jam bottoms when it gets hot.
I’m planning on making some typos as well!!! They are so easy to wear!
FYI it’s the Orchard dress not Orchid. Thanks for sharing - have one cut out, waiting on ironing board to press bias binding.
Thank you! I changed my title on the video and the info. ♥️

Yes! That’s awesome. It’s always best to make a muslin first. ♥️

That would be great!! I should really look into it!!
What is the fabric? Also what is the tiered dress on your manikin? It looks like a knit.
This is a light woven. Close to a linen. The dress on my form is a Staycation pattern by Ellie and Mac made in rib knit ♥️
Love the dress , do you have a tutorial for the one on your manikin please ?
That one is a dress from Ellie and Mac and there is a full tutorial on their channel ♥️
@@eloiseezra5194 can you tell me the name of the tutorial please ? Thank you 🙏🏼
J’aime beaucoup 😊
Que tipo de tela es??
Es parecida a un linen. Es una tela tejida que es muy floja.

I made the size I fit into by my measurements. I was between sizes and went up but I feel like I could have sized down.
I just finished making my wearable muslim today. I have to go down a size or two in the waist and hip for my next make
Yes! Always a great idea to make a muslin first ♥️
Cute
Thank you!!
Rotary cutter is faster than scissors!
Yes, I like rotary cutters but they give me
Shoulder pain! I prefer to use my electric scissors but sometimes I forget to charge them 🤦🏻♀️
Smile Jesus loves you ❣️
He sure does ♥️
When will you tubers realise that not showing the product first will not make us watch all the video 🤨
Thanks for the comment! I will keep this in mind.
