YOu gained about 5 to 10 Decibals and its sounds way way better. Not bad not too much pollution as far as noise and sound much better.

I already have this exact set up but my heeltoe secondary pipe is the high flow A pipe so it's a high flow cat & the primary is a high flow IMR cat, I also paired it with a function week full cat back valvtronic exhaust & it sounds really good in sport plus mode, now just waiting on K- tuner too realese more units & maps

Yes sir! Also what are your thoughts about the downpipe not using the factory support that bolts to the trans? The next support in the system is the hanger after the secondary pipe. Do you think that too much weight/stress for the turbo flange?
@@ryanshalley7327 I think it’ll be fine. The aftermarket unit is much light vs the oem cat/secondary pipe/ secondary cat. Mine has been ok for about 13k miles now. The turbo should have ample supporting brackets imo.

Yeah it sounds great that’s for sure. Tbh I kind of dig the hollow/raspy sound over the deeper tone with the muffler deletes.
Is there any difference when u drive the car at low speeds? In the sound and feel of the car from the inside after the installation?
Yes absolutely

I did too at first but it’s a good thing they didn’t. I’ll go into a video about this In the future…that’s all I can say.

I’m in jersey. I don’t think there’s any out there available for purchase. I believe it has to be custom made, if not share the details 👍🏻
Could those flexible heat shields be replaced with some header wrap directly on the pipe? The turbo seems to have its own separate heat shields.
Header wrap or ceramic coating. I would keep as many shields as possible
love the videos..I have a 22 tlx type s.. it was stolen a few weeks ago and now I'm looking into installing some more security features..I was able to get it back using the Acura Link app .. I think they might've did relay theft and used the obd port to reprogram a new key.. is there anything you recommend so this won't happen again? can't have nothing nice in ny 😢
Sheesh that’s horrible but your not the first one and surely won’t be the last. I would get a wheel boot (keep them from driving it), and a brake pedal stop. With enough motivation they can still take the car but anything that can slow them down is a win in my book. Best of luck and thanks for the support!

Thanks for watching! Yes so we have been using the vibrant defouler and it’s throwing a cat code. IMR sells a defouler as well but nobody has tried it yet. All trial and error at this point. I will update when I have a solution.
I have the IMR defouler and it’s not throwing any codes.

After the install did the customer notice overwhelming exhaust fumes throughout the cabin? Also, did you reuse the altp a pipe gaskets, order new ones, or just disregard?
Use all new gaskets where possible. The cat(s) are deleted, there’s going to be a noticeable smell difference.
I just ordered imr high flow 200 cell catted down pipe with a catted secondary for my 23 type s but I don’t plan on tuning it. Do you think I’ll have any problems in the future? I have less then 1000 miles on the car right now

Not if you use the right defouler
So, is only turbo supporting the downpipe to hold it ? 🤔 I saw two supporters removed and none back in place on the downpipe.
Yes, the downpipe really isn’t heavy compared to the oem setup
@Hondamobilemechanic at minimum, the bottom support bracket by the mid pipe should be on it.
@@romonek we shall see long term if something happens. I’m at 17k on mine so far so good 👍🏻

so its been a few months now...any difference between your custom pipe vs this IMR downpipe?
Mine looks better imo but also causes a higher chance of an overboost condition although the new ceramic coat option from imr is great.
@@BCautosolutions I'm a little sketch regarding all these new biz making "performance parts." So har the only thing I see worth upgrading is the new HPS intake. They even offer a Dyno sheet with it. You feel like testing that

Does this downpipe cause a CEL? Also does the car need a tune so that the DP won’t destroy the engine? Thoughts?
Yes it will, still trying to find. Defouler that works. No it won’t destroy the engine. I’ve had one for over a year and 13k miles on my personal car.

Think 90 degree would work better although some are still experiencing cel with it.

With their defouler yes, although I have sourced one that stops that.

No I don’t think so although imr is working on mdx specific Downpipes.
The Nsx Type S has this engine right ?
No, different in many ways.

First inspection is in 4 years still for me here
@@BCautosolutions Yeah same here mine is in 2026 but I'm about to take a step further & delete the secondary cat & just run a pipe from IMR & keep my primary high flow cat, at least I have some filtration so I can avoid any problems here in Jersey
