I agree with you completely, this could be just THE perfect 40k game, and it RIGHTLY captures the scale of warzone in our favorite grim dark universe. It's all here: gigantic orbital battles, millions of hordes of enemies of the Golden Throne, giant armies of the Guard and PDF forces, Tech-Priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus supporting the equipment/gear and of course His Angels of Death at holy work, better than they have ever looked. I was a little worried about the variety of Tyranid bioforms based on the first gameplay trailers, now they have dispelled all doubts - here you have all types of Horma/Termagant (and gargoyles), melee and ranged Warriors strains, Raveners and Lictors, Swarmguards (mb mini carnifexes), spores and Hive Tyrant. They nailed it. In the shot with the hangar (where there is a group of spacemarines, repulsor tanks and redemptor dreadnoughts) I see two veterans of the honor guard. Can we hope for the presence of Marneus Calgar in the game or at least for a small cameo of Roboute Guilliman or Magnus the Red?) I would be more than happy to see any more named characters beside Sevastus Acheran and our boy Titus (maybe a cameo of -Lieutenant- GENERAL Mira). And at least ONE shot of the Titan fighting hordes of tyranids carnifexes/hierophants in the distance. The game is already looking 12 out of 10. If it has a high level of optimization so that it works adequately on the previous generation of video cards, this game will go down in the annals of the history of Warhammer 40k games. They make the Emperor proud of their work. Congrats. P. S. I hope the Boltgun sternguard marine Malum Caedo (his name is "I kill evil" from Latin lol) will make a cameo in this game, the guy clearly was a big supporter of our boy Titus based on his taunts xD

But the reality as we see from the siege of terra and plague wars series is that actually the Ultramarines in a way capture everything the Emperor is trying to do with Humanity, and Guilliman in many ways is the most Human of the Primarchs. I suppose this In a way is why I like Perturabo as a traitor Primarch, he's not a moustache twirling villain and has a very human quality albeit flawed And you are right, some the best champions of the imperihm have come from the errant legions. Gabriel Loken is definitely my favorite 😁
THE perfect 40k game isn't a thing a REALLY good shooter for 40k? sure but this is no more perfect than dawn of war 1 was (and a dawn of war 1 remaster/remake would be), or an actually good dow 3 that combines elements from 1 and 2 personally for it to be perfect, it would need to look like this, but be planetside 2 except 40k, with playtable eldar/dark eldar, orks, chaos space marines/daemons/guardsmen, and imperium. and play this smoothly

If this game goes well i guess they can always add new enemies(orks, necrons or maybe dark eldar, or expand chaos enemies/demons if they are not used a lot in this game), some new classes (librarian, techmarine, chaplain, apothecari) and weapons (frost/force axe, lightning claws, librarian scepter)... there's so much room to keep on with this game if they succeed, with full-on expansions or DLCs.
At 9:20 In the upper right corner, those 3 symbols have me wondering if they took inspiration from Helldivers 2's samples concept. They even have similar colors, green, purple and orange!

That makes more sense when looking at the game. Fighting some thousand sons marines in the campaign would be awesome.
Imagine if the DLC's (and i mean big expansions) bring whole new planets, with new missions and maps and maybe even enemies. Probably not, thats asking for destiny 2 but warhammer but a man can dream haha.

look at the trailer though, they show cadians in like the first 30 seconds. I did hear there may be the option for it. However I do agree it is kinda weird to have it in there if it doesn't have its own dedicated game mode

Literally, there is no indication that you can play as a guardsman. That's just a cinematic for storytelling purposes, just like in the first ever trailer. If guards were playable, they would have just stated such.

7:34 that's primaris Gravis armour (something like a centurion and terminator armour make a baby by Belisarius Cawl's mastermind). The Gravis pattern of Mk.X Armour is more heavily protected and allows for a level of protection closer to Terminator Armour level, but with reduced mobility
you are absolutely correct, I had to go and look this up after I uploaded the video, I got confused by the hood of the armor, which a lot of the chapter librarians wear for channeling their psychic ability. I guess I am biased, and I would've loved to see some heavy terminator armor, as that is my personal favorite battle plate.

12:35 I didn't play space marine 1 multiplayer but saw some streams, you can capture "dreadnaught reinforcement" objective point and your team could field a dreadnaught into battle, one player will play AS dreadnaught, pretty sure chaos/renegade boys will have Helbrute as counter/analogies.
Ahhh Ok gotcha I didnt know that. I also did not play space marine 1 multiplayer, as it was a bit before my time, so I guess it's kind of like a piloted AC-130 from warzone, a super heavy weapon that you use for a limited time?
@@garmonplays Yep, or it's similar in some way as to play Jedi/Sith/Heroes in Star Wars battlefront 2 (Dice and old one) - a good boost to your team if you know how to handle it. Pretty sure dreadnaught was not for limited time, but until death of match ending - I remembering people playing dreads for like 10+ minutes in 1 session. And the mods for SM1 had even terminators and rare weapons like volkite/grav/phosphex etc. Pity that moders didn't make Custodes in all their glory their wargear and effectiveness is a force to be reckoned with.

10:35 ofc you play loyalist chapters vs chaos/renegade space marine legions. BUT you could have some cosmetics like a pauldrons with Hydra Dominatus/Eye of Horus/Iron Hands logos etc as loyalist, purely cosmetic, you can't have "Nurgle blessings" as loyalist and purity seals as traitors.
brooo, that it is a good point, like is the customization aspect unlimited, so could I be a choas - loyalist, that would be weird but could also make things a little spicier, I guess we will have to see, they do make it sound though like certain chapters are pre-determined to be either traitor or Loyalist, so I can't be a loyalist iron warrior unfortunately

@@garmonplays There were like 1-2-3 named examples of full chaos marines trying to redeem themselves. 1) Slaanesh Emperors Children sword master allowed himself to be slain in battle by the hand of his former friend from a different legion - he understand where his legion is going and tried to quite this madness. 2) in Angron: The Red Angel Novel (from Arks of Omen side series) - there were 1 named Word Eaters character - Shâhka the Bloodless he has an amazing redemption ark - you should reed about his story. In the end a captured corrupted Astropath was used as a psychic bomb, swathing the world in the Emperor's holy light. As it swept over Shâhka, he was briefly cleansed of his corruption and madness. Realizing his mistakes and Angron's uncaring nature even as his body died, Shâhka happily said "Forgive" to the Emperor and gave the sign of the Aquila before exploding into red mist, what a way to go (and he DID return blood in his veins first time after centuries, he was alive near death once again, since siege of terra when he made a deal with daemon of Khorne). 3) some new converted Nurgle's champion from former Ultramarines (I do not remember his name too). He was very noble in normal life and one of the sisters of battle refuse to believe such noble and bright soul could submit to chaos so easily, for whole story she appealed to his benevolent qualities and reached out to the real Marine, realizing that he had become a champion of the plague, Ultramarine sacrificed himself in order to thwart the plans of the new master Nurgle and purified himself in the eyes of the Emperor and the Imperium (although most likely his soul was destroyed by Nurgle for such betrayal). And his sister also tried to push him into the pantheon of heroes in the sisterhood) There could be many more "redemption" arks, even the Emperor when possessing the body of Roboute Guilliman (Dark Imperium: Godblight) said that daemon primarch MORTARION could be saved and redeemed, but not now, now he must face consequences and wrath of his plague father that he choose over mankind's protector. Hell, even FREAKING Horus asked for forgiveness in the end and was delivered. The Emperor last word to His beloved son "I wait for you, and I forgive you."

It is definitely canon that fallen marines can be redeemed and as you have correctly put, you can indeed come out of the touch of chaos with newfound devotion to the Imperium. But still it would be unique to have a chaos marine with the symbols of chaos fighting for the imperium, because that implies a split allegiance e between chaos and the emperor. I know there are examples of some word bearers and inquisitors who try to use chaos against chaos, but a lot of the time these characters and either SUPER rare or extremely delusional

look at the trailer though, they show cadians in like the first 30 seconds. I did hear there may be the option for it. However I do agree it is kinda weird to have it in there if it doesn't have its own dedicated game mode

Literally, there is no indication that you can play as a guardsman. That's just a cinematic for storytelling purposes, just like in the first ever trailer. If guards were playable, they would have just stated such.

The Gravis pattern of Mk.X Armour is more heavily protected and allows for a level of protection closer to Terminator Armour level, but with reduced mobility
you are absolutely correct, I had to go and look this up after I uploaded the video, I got confused by the hood of the armor, which a lot of the chapter librarians wear for channeling their psychic ability. I guess I am biased, and I would've loved to see some heavy terminator armor, as that is my personal favorite battle plate.

12:35 I didn't play space marine 1 multiplayer but saw some streams, you can capture "dreadnaught reinforcement" objective point and your team could field a dreadnaught into battle, one player will play AS dreadnaught, pretty sure chaos/renegade boys will have Helbrute as counter/analogies.
Ahhh Ok gotcha I didnt know that. I also did not play space marine 1 multiplayer, as it was a bit before my time, so I guess it's kind of like a piloted AC-130 from warzone, a super heavy weapon that you use for a limited time?
@@garmonplays Yep, or it's similar in some way as to play Jedi/Sith/Heroes in Star Wars battlefront 2 (Dice and old one) - a good boost to your team if you know how to handle it. Pretty sure dreadnaught was not for limited time, but until death of match ending - I remembering people playing dreads for like 10+ minutes in 1 session. And the mods for SM1 had even terminators and rare weapons like volkite/grav/phosphex etc. Pity that moders didn't make Custodes in all their glory their wargear and effectiveness is a force to be reckoned with.

10:35 ofc you play loyalist chapters vs chaos/renegade space marine legions. BUT you could have some cosmetics like a pauldrons with Hydra Dominatus/Eye of Horus/Iron Hands logos etc as loyalist, purely cosmetic, you can't have "Nurgle blessings" as loyalist and purity seals as traitors.
brooo, that it is a good point, like is the customization aspect unlimited, so could I be a choas - loyalist, that would be weird but could also make things a little spicier, I guess we will have to see, they do make it sound though like certain chapters are pre-determined to be either traitor or Loyalist, so I can't be a loyalist iron warrior unfortunately
@@garmonplays Chaos loyalist is not 100% fake, there are black shields and death watch path for those who lost his battle brothers to heresy/madness or who managed to run out of their warp/chaos masters (very rare occasions), quite a lot of renegades still serve mankind in deathwatch

@@garmonplays There were like 1-2-3 named examples of full chaos marines trying to redeem themselves.
1) Slaanesh Emperors Children sword master allowed himself to be slain in battle by the hand of his former friend from a different legion - he understand where his legion is going and tried to quite this madness.
2) in Angron: The Red Angel Novel (from Arks of Omen side series) - there were 1 named Word Eaters character - Shâhka the Bloodless he has an amazing redemption ark - you should reed about his story. In the end a captured corrupted Astropath was used as a psychic bomb, swathing the world in the Emperor's holy light. As it swept over Shâhka, he was briefly cleansed of his corruption and madness. Realizing his mistakes and Angron's uncaring nature even as his body died, Shâhka happily said "Forgive" to the Emperor and gave the sign of the Aquila before exploding into red mist, what a way to go (and he DID return blood in his veins first time after centuries, he was alive near death once again, since siege of terra when he made a deal with daemon of Khorne).
3) some new converted Nurgle's champion from former Ultramarines (I do not remember his name too). He was very noble in normal life and one of the sisters of battle refuse to believe such noble and bright soul could submit to chaos so easily, for whole story she appealed to his benevolent qualities and reached out to the real Marine, realizing that he had become a champion of the plague, Ultramarine sacrificed himself in order to thwart the plans of the new master Nurgle and purified himself in the eyes of the Emperor and the Imperium (although most likely his soul was destroyed by Nurgle for such betrayal). And his sister also tried to push him into the pantheon of heroes in the sisterhood)
There could be many more "redemption" arks, even the Emperor when possessing the body of Roboute Guilliman (Dark Imperium: Godblight) said that daemon primarch MORTARION could be saved and redeemed, but not now, now he must face consequences and wrath of his plague father that he choose over mankind's protector.
Hell, even FREAKING Horus asked for forgiveness in the end and was delivered. The Emperor last word to His beloved son "I wait for you, and I forgive you."

It is definitely canon that fallen marines can be redeemed and as you have correctly put, you can indeed come out of the touch of chaos with newfound devotion to the Imperium. But still it would be unique to have a chaos marine with the symbols of chaos fighting for the imperium, because that implies a split allegiance e between chaos and the emperor. I know there are examples of some word bearers and inquisitors who try to use chaos against chaos, but a lot of the time these characters and either SUPER rare or extremely delusional
