I’ve been cleaning this fan for the last two hours and couldn’t figure out the fan blade. I finally decided to google and your video was the first search result. I didn’t realize the fan blade slides off 😂 thank you so much!!!

Hello, I'm happy the video was easy to find. I went thru the same situation as you, after hours of trying & could not find any results online, it prompted me to create this video. Glad it has helped so many people.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! I had no idea about the seventh and eighth screw and I would’ve broken my fan if not for this video! I really appreciate you for this and I hope you have an amazing year!!!!

Same here!! Just almost broke mine as well, didn’t see the two in the bottom corners. What size screw tip is it?

Honestly, I don't know the size. I just got lucky the screwdriver I had happened to fit. If anyone has more knowledge about it, please feel free to add your expertise.

This was so helpful! The screws that were in those two long grooves were extremely hard to get out. I was able to unscrew them out. I decided to leave them out as you suggested. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for posting this video! Very helpful.
On my model 573, the blades took a fair bit of strength to pull off the spindle. A stubbie screwdriver was needed to lever/lift the blade up and off. There was long hairs tangled behind the blades. My family members have long hair, so I’ll need to keep an eye on that.
The cotton swabs are a good suggestion. I also used damp paper towels and a vacuum cleaner to help the tough areas. Thanks again!

Great idea! I didn't think of using a vacuum cleaner.

The nut holding the fan blade on mine was reverse threads. The blade is plastic and if you turn the nut the wrong way with force it will probable crack.

That is the reason that prompted me to do my 1st video. I could not find it anywhere online so wanted to help others. Thank you for watching

The blade on mine didn’t come right off. There was a bolt holding it on but nbd. The main screw in the middle had hair wrapped around it and was making a buzzing noise. I used tweezers and plastic toothpicks that had little teeth in them to get in the small grooves and pull the hair out. Just make sure you put the washers back on in order (for anyone who’s gonna do this) Thanks for the video

Yes, my Vornado 573 blade doesn’t come off either and I have 2 of these 573 fans ... They’re a pain to clean but gonna purchase a can of air soon ... One of my fans is starting to sound like “ it’s struggling “ and I’m safely guessing replacing the fuse that sits in the fans plug ... Vornado brand is good quality .

Thank you for sharing your experience. I've had this fan for several years. It is possible the manufacturer has made changes that do not allow the blade to be removed any longer.

I'm sorry it didn't help. I have had this fan for several years. It is possible the manufacturer has made some changes over the years that do not allow some parts to be removed.
