We were there in September of 2022 I think around the same time you were I think on the Carnival Spirit. We were also lucky to have beautiful weather as well! Love your videos Michael and thank you for the beautiful reminder of our adventure as well!
This brought back fond memories of my 2015 Alaska trip. I can't wait to go back! The scale of things in Alaska is mindboggling everything is farther away and bigger than your eye and brain can comprehend. You lucked out on the weather; it was a steady drizzle the day we were in Juneau. I loved the town/city, though. It had a nice vibe. I'm glad you all got to wander a little bit and also see Mendenhall! You're starting to convince me to try Holland America. Lovely ship and a great size!
I visited Juneau in 2000 to see some friends who live there. The tram that takes you up the mountain is a great experience!! You can hike around the area and see a great view and lots of wildlife. Mendenhall Glacier is so amazing. Definitely a must-see!! Thank you for taking us along on your adventure!!
Bucket list trip for me to be sure hopefully I can d this in the next few years. Thank you so much for taking us on this journey your enthusiasm is contageous.
My family just did Alaska on the Wonder last month! It's the most beautiful place I've ever traveled. It's so fun to relive it again through your eyes.
Great content as always Michael! We were on the Wonder in September, and there is truly nothing like Alaska! We are enjoying seeing Alaska again, though through your eyes. 😊
Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the cruise brings-Alaska has always interested me more than the Caribbean. Really enjoying the excursion adventures at the ports of call, can really take your cruise vlogs to the next level!
Wow I love hearing your excitement level. The travel agent actually told us Mendenhall is underwhelming because it receded so much so now I'm thinking we should switch excursions. I haven't even been yet and I'm ready to go back. lol. About the falls you saw - I'm wondering where does that water go because the lake you were looking at didn't seem like it was moving much yet the falls were just rushing down?
Your excitement is so catchy. Your trip to Mendenhall glacier reminded my of the time I went with my grandparents to visit family in Seattle (I was in 3rd grade). We went up to the mountains (couldn't believe I sat in snow in July) and went to Hurricane Ridge and it's glacier. Then I went swimming in Crescent Lake (melted snow from the glacier). My aunt told me it would be cold but I didn't care. I was very cold but I had a blast and still remember it all these years later.
Enjoy your videos and narrative. We're doing the Eurodam to Alaska July 2023. You seem impressed with the natural beauty, consider atrip to Oregon, you'll be as impressed.
I took my first trip to Alaska the end of June and fell in love with the beauty of it all. The weather was perfect sunny in the low 70s at some points. I know September is definitely cheaper but next time you must go in the summer. Whale watching was life changing and I agree the smaller ships are the way to go.
Michael - your still shots are great. I think people can learn from you. Composition and capturing your subject is well done. And, shhhhhh,. Keep the Crows Nest a secret.
Michael, I'm so glad you had food today that you really enjoyed. You have us really thinking about an Alaskan cruise but I'm wondering if it's worth it to get a balcony on an Alaskan cruise: considering the cold, did you use it that much? Thanks for all you do! --Susan
We did the bus that we booked at port rather than an "excursion" from the ship. The regular bus runs every 30 min (at least during summer) so you could spend as much time as you wanted at the glacier. It was only about $40
Beautiful content and photos! Mendenhall Glacier is absolutely breathtaking! I love watching Adam and Sherri Legg from Legglife who live in Anchorage. Definitely hope to get to Alaska someday!
We were just on the Ovation of the seas the week of Sept 16th and went to mendanhall glacier. One of the best trips I have been on!! I can wait to go again!! We had the best week with weather too. No rain! Love your video 😀
It’s just beautiful, we did a cruise there in July! It poured the entire day during out stop, but we were prepared for it! By 2050 you won’t be able to see the glacier from the visitor’s centre.
We went on a Disney Alaskan cruise in 2018. Did the same excursion as you. Also did the tram, Tracey’s crab shack and my husband and younger son tried the crepe shot. It was all amazing
We were in port with you most days on the Koningsdam we left out of Vancouver instead of Seattle. Too bad we didn’t see you in town. We were actually in the red dog when you contemplated going in
Tracy's King Crab is really good. We went there as part of a Juneau Food Tour and didn't have to wait in line. Alaska cruises are our favorite. We have done Disney once and Celebrity twice. HAL looks really nice, we might have to try them as they are one of the few cruise lines that go to Glacier Bay.
Tracy's King Crab is an experience! The crab is expensive, $75/lb, but it's literally the best I've ever had. It was money well spent and we still talk about it years later. I'm sad for you that you didn't get to try it, haha! Next time, I guess. You won't regret it!
When my husband and I took our 1st cruise, to celebrate our retirements, our favorite excursion was taking a small boat to Misty Fjords, out of Ketchikan. It is other-worldly beautiful. This was on Princess cruise line. By the way, I love the hat. It looks good on you.
I don’t know how I missed it the first time but I think it’s awful that you included a tshirt saying I Love Guns and Coffee in your final cut, yet you call yourself a family friendly channel. There’s nothing funny about AK-47’s.
I love that Michael is taking a break from the parks to see the world.
Variety is the spice of life
Way to go Michael 👍🏻👍🏻
Love that you went to the Glacier!!! For Love of the Mouse and LeggLife that we also watch went there as well and it's stunning every time! Great vlog

You are really showing just how different and beautiful cruises can be. Wonderful vlog.
This vlog right here! Authentic and taking us along for the adventure. Well done.
Alaska looks incredible! Thanks for taking us along
I wish everyone could an Alaska cruise once in their life, best cruise we ever took.
fantastic, brings back memories of my trip. If you go to Ketchikan, be sure to check out the totem carving excursion.
Michelle has gone camera shy since moving to California?
Great vlog and nice to see magical non-Disney content...
Great video. Mendenhall Glacier is amazing place to visit.

Oh my gosh!! All the SHOPPING!!! 😁
Love that Michael went to Alaska! So cool to see another world. Looks like he is enjoying the cruise.
Definitely missing Michelle. She’s awesome
How come you don’t show your family anymore in the videos??
That was weird
Is there a reason David and Michelle weren’t on camera miss seeing them in the vlogs!
Was wondering the same thing.

Looks like a great time! Might do a solo trip after watching this video

You all make me want to go on an Alaskan cruise so so bad!!!
Amazing experience! Thank you for showing us beautiful Alaska 🤩

ILOVE your enthusiasm !!
So happy that you had a great day in Juneau. It is beautiful there. Hopefully you get to go back.
Beautiful thanks for sharing Michael!

The nature excursions you've been on are so much fun to watch! Alaska and that one at Virgin Gorda. These are so cool to see!
I am glad you enjoyed our Glacier. I hope you got to go up the tram as well :)
Great show thanks for sharing !

How fun!!! Love we got a Michelle snippet

I August I was right where you guys were in the video. It's amazing
We went on a Disney Alaskan cruise in 2018. Did the same excursion as you. Also did the tram, Tracey’s crab shack and my husband and younger son tried the crepe shot. It was all amazing
Beautiful place a shame you had to pass up sooo many things on the trip into Juno 😞
We were in port with you most days on the Koningsdam we left out of Vancouver instead of Seattle. Too bad we didn’t see you in town. We were actually in the red dog when you contemplated going in
We sailed on Eurodam at the end of August, it is an awesome ship, BB King Band was great! Would not want to be on a bigger ship.

An Alaskan cruise is on our bucket list.
Is Michelle with you and your brother. Great videos by the way!!
Can you actually get close to that glacier nearby that waterfall?
Where did the fish and chips come from? MDR?
I'm wondering how the size of the Eurodam is in comparison to the Disney Wonder?🤔
I thought you were allergic to pineapple??
👍🏻
Did you see Disney Wonder
Hey there Michael I wonder if you will do a Alaska cruise line with Disney
I don’t know how I missed it the first time but I think it’s awful that you included a tshirt saying I Love Guns and Coffee in your final cut, yet you call yourself a family friendly channel. There’s nothing funny about AK-47’s.
A K 47s are not legal for a citizen to own. They are a military weapon. Idiot.
Welcome to Juneau...see that tram ?🚊 I rode that, saw lots of bald eagles.🦅
