I just wanted to say that having tattoos will not lead you to a life of crime, to join a gang, or go to prison. It's like saying that the spoon made me fat or the pencil made me misspell a word. The person chooses to commit their own crimes, get their own tattoos, & because of their own wrong doing & law breaking, end up going to prison. If the gang members or prisoners choose to have their tattoos, that's on them. They are very beautiful tattoos & the work in the black & white medium is fabulous! Just please don't blame people's crimes or even when they reoffend on body art! I have over 16 tattoos & have no plans to stop! Some people hang their art on the wall, I choose to wear mine!

I think they should be able to open up a “shop” in the prison. It would be way safer way more sanitary. They trust them with barber shops and other things so why not this? They’re going to do it regardless might as well make a safe environment.

jamnjam 🚗 📻 🛠 🔌 🚪They need to bring back shop classes into high school 📓. Problem is educators are too busy figuring out how many genders they think there are instead of teaching actual life skills. Home economics 🎂 🥘👚and shop classes 🚗🛠🔌🚪📻 were both fun and educational.
The tattoo artists are learning a marketable skill. The tattoo industry is huge and tattoo artists are well paid. If they were smart, they would have a prison tattoo shop along with the other jobs programs. Then they could use real equipment and have sanitary conditions to prevent disease and infection. (Obviously you'd want to have rules on placement and prohibit gang and racist tattoos)
