4:28 I'm quite the opposite, i remember using Shava as a sort of extra storage space for things i knew she wouldn't use unless se runs out of handgun ammo, especially on the lower difficulties. i loved this game back in the day.
RE5 gets so much hate I'm happy to see someone who likes it! I think at its core what makes this game good to me is that it's simply fun, it's a fun game to play by yourself but playing with someone else is just an absolute blast. It has its flaws, the writing is wonky and unpolished, and I think the stakes should've been higher story-wise considering it's the ending arc of the biggest antagonist RE has ever had. But at its core, THIS is resident evil. It's stupid and campy and cheesy, the franchise was NEVER fully serious, not even the first one. I think people tend to forget that because they fell in love with RE4, but even that game was stupid as hell, I love it. I'm just here to have a good time and RE5 delivers.
This was the first Resident Evil I ever played. I remember us having a copy of Code Veronica when I was around 9 or 10, but I was such a scaredy cat back then. Then I remember seeing a lot of advertising for RE4 and thought it looked interesting, but we didn't have a Gamecube. Later on, in High School, I saw advertisement for 5, thought it looked interesting, got my copy, and never looked back. So, while it isn't the best Resident Evil, not by a long shot, it will always have a place in my heart.
I played this game for the first time recently with the Shava AI, I played it and I swear it was the worst game I've ever completed, I couldn't even give you a two-paragraph summary on it because of how confusing it was, like Jill just had blonde hair for some reason? Not to even mention the PC controls, feeling like you're controlling Chris while he's wearing stilts on ice. I hated almost every character because of how long they monolog or because of how annoying they are, funnily enough Albert was my favorite character because I was able to kill him. I feel like if I skipped from 4 to 7 I would've been much happier and less confused. It isn't the worst game, but playing it after 4 I think just made it worse. This game was literally my only negative review I've made for a game in my life
I absoluted hated it. It fits Ok for CoD fans action-only games aren't my cup of tea. No thinking, terrible story, no searching for what to do next, no puzzles, it's not even an horror game.
