In 74 our lead player finally got rid of his plinky sounding Strat (he insisted the action be as low as possible, didnt realize it was fretting out) and got a 73 ES355 in red. What a difference, it sang like a bird. We all loved the sound. It played great. I've been wanting one since then. All the new ones I've played have huge necks. His had a smaller neck, very fast. Nice tunes Lemmo, as usual.👍
I have an eight-digit factory second (stamped right on the back of the headstock) in a burgundy finish. Somebody put a stop tailpiece on it long before I got it. It's my number one, and probably always will be.
I have an early 70's Les Paul. I emailed Gibson the serial number and they could tell me it was made between 71 & 74 in Kalamazoo. Numbers on the pots would narrow it down to an exact year. Excess solder obscures most of the numbers so I can't say for sure unless I ever have to replace a pot. Love the Sly Lemmo played.
GO Michael!! Another great video guys!! Thanks. As a Gibson of that era. Is still a bit out of my reach price wise I settled on an Ibanez art core A-S-73 in same Cherry red with factory Ibanez pickups & case about 5 years ago. Love the sounds of these semi hollow bodies .. 👍. Enjoy your videos😊
I've got the same guitar in a 1970-71 model with Gibson embossed into the pickup covers. Got it in the early 80s from the original owner. I've owned hundreds of guitars over the years, but none has surpassed it to become #1.
Yes Michael great job what kind of guitar did George Thorogood play was it a Gibson ES love the channel love all you guys at norms keep up the great work👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
There way over priced rediculous I wouldn't pay what there asking for Gibson 335 in the sixties was only 500 dollars today there asking for 3000 and up crazy
out of tune slightly? or medium out of tune? or blatantly out of tune? a non-event. bunch of noise. a forgettable concert at best. try compensated nut? B string dominates the whole show. B string bloopers. try adjusting the adjusting screws on the pickups? duh
Fractions are easy...11/16ths is the same as 5 and 1/2 8ths. There you go lol! You should have paid attention in high school...oh wait...you're not American! Never mind. Forget what I just said.
@@mattrogers1946 Did you know ? from 63 to 70 Gibson used a six digit number and on some days the machine that they used was broken and so the same serial number was stamped on guitars all day long
@@mattrogers1946 yes, sometimes the pots sit for years in stock before being used but you can use the dates on the pots and look at the neck joint design witch was changed in 69 to help date your guitar but in a court of law you can not say it belongs to you going by the serial number only because sometimes the machine was broken and stamped the same number on guitars all day long

Nice tunes Lemmo, as usual.👍
Michael Brendan and Jen are everyday people!
Beautiful soulful playing on Everyday People but absolute 🔥on Crossroads. Lemmo keeps getting better and better.
Lemmo’s playing always brightens my day 👍
Soriano and Lemmo? Nice!
Hey y'all. Nice shirt, Brandon, thanks for being Cordial guys.
Since moving to California, "different strokes for different folks" has become my mantra for the crazy out here.
I just sold Norm my 1970 335 fair price and the nicest guy to deal with on the planet!! Norms is awesome
Lemmo and Brandon whoop whoop xx 🎸🎸🇬🇧 such a beautiful guitar 🎸🎸
The young talent on this channel really give me hope! Keep on keeping on.
Hope for what ? 😂
@@GarageDeCaca Most of the music you hear today sucks. Guitar has all but disappeared. Ad nauseum.
@@SamFugarino you are just hearing the wrong songs lmao
@@GarageDeCaca You just might be right.
I can listen to Mr. Lemo play all day! ☮️
I always love how creative Michal Lemmo is, always insperes me to play
The spec check 🔥❤️. 😂🤣🤣 . Sending love to everyone.
Has anyone ever knocked a headstock into that shelving? It always looks like they come so close.
Beautiful 335. And Lemmo, well… Lemmo‘s gonna Lemmo. Faved.
I enjoyed the history, the playing was great technique and songwriting. As always from Norms, great vids.
Boy I could use one of those. The watermelon cherry are my faves. While I’m wishing I wouldn’t throw a stick at a little of Lemmo’s talent too.

Lemmo, you did it best way!
Hunnit percent cool, specially the everyday people 👍🇺🇦
Beautiful guitar. I see one of them I go right to Eric Clapton, Elvin Bishop and the blues .
Awesome playing as always Lemmo. Now can we pleeeease see what's on that pedal board???
I feel I should be making notes for the pop quiz at the end of the video. Major information over load. Great content as always 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼
Love the range Michael played the guitar. Keep up the great work.

Same here. I also posted on a Gibon forum who confirmed it's a 71/2. Lovely guitar.
That guitar sounded so dialled. It's a really great sounding instrument
No its not the guitar its all you!! Sweet!!
Wow wow wow what a great guitar and loving the banter
Enjoyed the groove on the bridge pickup.
Lemmo the Goat! Spankin that mudder crunker!
Love this channel! Keep up the great work all!

Awesome video, especially the Crossroads jam!
I really hope Mr. Lemmo has his own 335. He always seems to play the best, get the nicest tones on the 335 demos IM. Just fantastic!
Nice looking guitar. Dig the tune. Another good guitar of day showing.
Do you think I could get that beauty instead if a t-shirt? ;)
I love that biting sound whilst you were playing Crossroads!

OH I WANT THIS GUITAR!! MY DREAM....
Dream guitar, maybe next lifetime 👍✌❤
Love my sunburst '79 with the coil tap. Converted by a previous owner to a stop tailpiece though. Had her for over 20 so will never sell.
Everyday People!
I’ll take it!! Great Guitar of the Day!
What a beauty.......
If I could only have one electric it would be a 335!
My Dream guitar !
🍒Love that cherry finish 🍒
God I fucking love these 330’s. Doesn’t hurt that one of the best is playing them either
Would love to hear some Alvin Lee on this .. brilliant as always, nice guitar! Thanks.
Great looking 335. Nice color fade. Reminds me of the watermelon finish.
When lemmo gets a 335 in his hand you know something special is gonna happen....he' s connected with this guitar and he doesn' t know it..
Always such a nice red on those 335s. The cherry more so than the watermelon (2xl 👕)🎸🇨🇦
Sweet. I know Rick played a 345 but need to hear him scream "Alright!!!" for RoadWork "Back In The USA"'
This never gets old.
Mike was on today
This is a beauty can’t wait to have my own 🔥🔥🔥
great dist sound. Which pedal did you use? Thanks
My dream guitar bro
Beautiful guitar and as usual awesome eargasm.
Great work Michael as usual! Please tell me the string gauges on that 335. They looked slinky as heck.
I bought a gretsch streamliner from Amazon on 549 I love it slot better than Gibson for sure
Amazing
Name of the first song pls??? Lemmo you rock!
I want that guitar!!
Which song is Lemmo playing by the way? Is it an original and improvised on the spot? Anyone knows?
Ritchie Blackmore early days guitar ES 335.
GOTD self critique by Michael Lemmo.
Wow, an Americana take on Sly Stone!
I'd like my cheese SHREDDED pls 🤘🇨🇦 good stuff Lemmo
dam, this guy shreds
Yes Michael great job what kind of guitar did George Thorogood play was it a Gibson ES love the channel love all you guys at norms keep up the great work👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
George Thorogood played a lot epiphone es guitars.
George T played a Gibson ES125 with soap bar P90s. He was known to use a variety of Fender amps. Everything cranked.
Lemmo is in the mood today! Cracking 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's a nice 335
And I'm your host, Angus Young
lol had me cracking up😜
Wow! Great playing, loved the first song. Second one too. Watched this a few times
As a man born the last day of 1972, I'm not even 50 yet. So how is this 1974/75 pushing 50?
Don't need all that reverb to make a 335 sound good!
Lemmo you know how to bring that Gibson's great sound right up front! Nice work! X-Large T-shirt please :-7
Every time I see a hat like that, I associate it with Marty Schwarz for some reason.
Haha! Since Marty wears a a Pork Pie hat or a Fedora!
Wow! Take note every other music store. That's how you show what a guitar can do! =)
Stunning performance as usual! 👏
Just beautiful playing Michael ..
Well played Michael, well played. And as usual, Brandon imparts his wisdom on us. ✌🏼
Nice - everyday people riffage
I really enjoyed your playing, you really made that guitar sing.
Is mike a little cheesed...? 🤷♂️😉
Skinny fingers, skinny nuts.
(:

Lie dat
I just got kicked out of my place for a bit that’s why I wasn’t here commenting
Somebody with money needed a place so
I’m not back yet but maybe in two weeks time
reverb, reverb and more reverb....always the same.

The way Americans measure guitars is so annoying. 1 inch 11/16ths? God dammit just use decimals, fractions are confusing
Beautiful guitar regardless
Buy a Chibson or an Epiphone, then you can deal with the metric system.
