@@OhMoonPresence DOES THIS WORK IN PVP?! The gotthards wa (L2 at least) is unparryable. So in a 2vs1 it could be very strong to overheal. Or for exsample low level ganking. Just imagine running away with obscuring ring and hitting crabs with the wa. This would be broken. Pls tell me
@William Miller Meme builds in DS2 were only functional because the game went on sale every month and had a constant influx of new players who were generally terrible at the game as a result. Trying to use meme builds in fight clubs with good players or the like never worked out. That is, of course, assuming they weren't also using a meme build, which many were because there weren't a lot of people tryharding anyway so using a meme build wasn't just asking to get stomped by robflynns or whatever that patch's meta build was.
@@MistaHoward He's definitely aware that all DS games had optimal builds, but we're noting that DS2 meme builds were functional. It was unique and nice that they worked even acceptably against the bad players you mentioned - which is not something the other games did. Building against the meta in DS3 is hard even against its worst players, and a DS1 meme build was more about abusing bugs and bad game design to troll rather than exploring under-served or nuanced rpg mechanics.
This is actually really cool imo. So essentially, it sounds like there is an invisible beasthood bar for ds3, except instead of just boosting dmg and shitting all over your defense overtime, you can actually get heals occasionally as well along with the dmg boost, without being penalized defensively. I love it! Also, I really enjoyed the quality of this video! The way you pop out effects and sounds is just so well timed and satisfying to me :)
After doing some modding, I found that the pontiff’s right eye has 3 states that it shifts between as you attack, one for each damage level, and a 4th dummy state that activates after the 3rd one and prevents you from moving further. This dummy state doesn’t obey frame intervals, executing commands on every frame regardless of parameters, and multiplies the duration of all effects by 10 for some reason. If you manage to activate this state twice within its duration window while the 3rd state is active, then some effects get multiplied together. If the left eye is similar, then I imagine what is occurring when the left eye ring procs its healing bug is that the dummy state is activating over itself while the final healing state is still active and causing the healing effect to be applied on every frame, instead of just once, for as long as the state is active.
As an electrical engineer, I appreciate the Maxwell's Equations shortcut you threw in for electric field strength: (mu_naught*I/2*π*d)*[cos(a) - cos(b)]. Thanks fellow nerd. Edit: talking bout the thumbnail.

Or just use a projected heal after running up to a ledge, then using silvercat ring to fall off the ledge and recover enough stamina to roll after healing and dropping off(since heals 1 weakness is stamina) after running away in a loop, creating a mindgame of actually needing to be chased down... Combined with a straightsword and crossbow usually...many people abuse tf out of faith builds, usually in the kiln in undead match, but that strat applies to 1v4ing gankers too, just combined with a couple extra details like a caestus and sunlight spear roll catching weakened opps rolling away.

People who don't want to waste their Estus Flasks, will appreciate this. This method of healing is the true Bloodborne build. And if you have an UGS it's even easier to land, because most enemies can be staggered.
Limit finally found stumbled onto my Caetus* Wolf Sword build! I'm honored. It's actually shockingly effective in practical application, with the Perseverance Poise/DR letting you trade blows with just about everything in the game. Once you get the rhythm down the amount of healing from L1 strings or plowing into a group with a leap attack is ridiculous. Certainly the most fun way of taking down Gael I've done. I'd dust it off and play online a bit, but Bandai banished me to the Shadowrealm. If the way it measures the "value" of a weapon attack is by time on screen, speeding it might be detrimental or not improve.
