These have been the 2 most enjoyable videos that capture the feel of boating I've seen so far
Agreed
totally
Really!!!!!
Felt like I was there😊
I'm cashing in my pension. What can I get for £4,500?
And this people is the very reason you need a boat in your life
Precisely! :D
Yacht companies need to start lending you boats for weekends so you can do proper long-form reviews! This sort of content (and the vacation videos you did last summer) is what really motivates me to want to get a boat! :) THANK YOU NICK!
That would be cool!
@@AQUAHOLIC So we should all start calling Princess demanding in depth weekend reviews by Nick Burnham?....it might work?
@@pauln2141 I agree but I want to come along!
4:46 dolphin's holding the GoPro for some excellent takes of the lovely wee boat. 🐬😆👍
A fascinating video. As much as I love super yacht walkthroughs, I am finding your insights into operating a small boat even more interesting. Obviously, willingness, time and costs are a consideration but I’d really enjoy seeing you and your ‘officer on the bridge’ taking Smugglers blues 2 on longer trips. Maybe combine with your Walkaholic videos to do a sort of travelogue? You have a unique style of journalism that make these videos so watchable Nick. Many thanks
Would be very interesting to see a break down of costs for a year for running a boat like his and maybe how it scales with size of boat. Trouble is talking money is very “not the done thing” for many British. Be up to Nick if he’s comfortable with revealing that kind of information.
@@0tispunkm3y3r Costs video is already planned
Surprised you didn’t ask the captain of that ship to do an aquaholic tour?!
That would be a very long video haha I wouldn’t mind though
Here's the engine room.....crikey thats massive.(echoes)
„We gonna need a bigger.... memory card 🤦♂️“
😂😂😂😂😂😂
mds0377 haha lol time to upgrade your gear nick!
I asked Nick in a previous video if he would give us the full Aquaholic Tour of the Symphony of the Seas and he replied back that the video would about a week long. With the amount of attention to detail that he gives us in his videos, I think it would probably last more like a month!
Love seeing you and MaryAnne enjoying a wee day trip out on the boat. It looks like an amazing way to spend time with the misses.❤️
Wow now that’s a huge cruise ship! 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳⛴⛴⛴⛴⛴⛴⛴⛴⛴🚢
Oh, the coast around Torquay really looks wonderful for powerboating and sailing
Robert Hennel
Yes it is normally powerboat racing also Cowes to Torquay and back where the Million pound plus boats race.
That 'Ghost Ship' was probably at anchor because it wasn't allowed within our three mile limit since the owners had spelled 'VALOUR' wrong!
Dave Bartlett- ‘merica!!! USA! USA! USA!
I know this is a joke but there’s no correct spelling of ‘Valor’. The ship is at anchor due to it being creeper to be in the anchorage rather than use the pier, the pier also just may not be suitable for such a large ship.
It’s also been joined by another Carnival “ghost ship”, Carnival Magic - at least they couldn’t get that wrong!
@@worldintime5021 I agree: there IS no correct spelling of 'Valor' - 'Valour' on the other hand is listed in the Oxford English Dictionary as being spelled with a 'u', so within British waters at least, the correct spelling is with a 'u'.
👅
These have got to be 2 of the best videos I have watched. Superb 🔥🔥
This was probably peak Aquaholic. Absolutely loved these two videos. Just lovely and perfect.
I"m glad you enjoyed them 🙂
What a good way to spend the day
Great days boating. It's all about the smiles per gallon. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for all the great boating tips.
So, did you order pizzas too?
That cruise ship needs a coat of paint.
You have a great life my friend. Enjoy every minute of it. You've been blessed.
I was worked at sea for 12 years in cruise ships.now I like to come back for sea life after 6 years at land.the reason is your videos of nice yacht. Keep going 😉🇪🇬
Great part 2 Nick! Love the videos! Seeing Mary Ann is a nice touch!
Looks amazing to chill and enjoy the sunny day.
A very relaxing video there, brill. Well done nick and marriane? Them cruise ships are huge, a good start to the day for me, it's Thursday 23rd July 2020, off to my brother house to do some outdoor painting. My arms and back are aching, would swap places in a heart beat. Keep the videos coming, bri and frei east Yorkshire.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nick, what a life, a friendly dolphin and a mermaid to keep you company as you cruise hither and yonder. Stay safe and be well!
Miele! When I saw the logo on the baseball cap your wonderful "partner in crime" is wearing it gave me a chuckle!:D Great video and a perfect way to keep us from going mad! Thanks!!!
You're very welcome! :)
I can imagine the next video...
"Welcome to the full Aquaholic tour of the Carnival Valor cruise ship, we're going to see the accommodation, galley, crew areas, the engines, the lot!
Ooh look, full standing head room in the engine room!"
😂
YES. DO IT.
Lol! Nick would do a better job then their best PR person could ever do.....just lovely 😀
Cruise ships may or may not recover from this pandemic, but there is a 4 hour tour of a carnival(i think, forgot the name of the ship) on youtube
I’d love to see you now take Smuggler’s Blues 2 right round Britain, what a video series that would be! Great vid as always today :)
Really enjoyed the footage Had a old Broom satin Over 30yrs Ago with a 85 Evenrude. And Used it on my Holliday in Torquay in 1987.Been a Harley Davidson Enthusiast since 1993.Loved Boating and Scuba.Fantastic watching Great Life. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
You certainly know how to make a man envious!
Nick, just a joy to watch and I learn't me some stuff too. Also, I wrote a murder mystery in my head while watching you in that Babbacombe cove. Boom, there's the title, 'Murder at Babbacombe Cove.'
I am really enjoying cruising with you two!
Just beautiful!!!! I could do pizza and wine on my boat at sundown! Lovely 😊
That boat rides smoothly
The best 2 vids on your channel.......and by your standards that is praise indeed! Superb.
Wow, thanks!
Just re-watching this. You really sell Boating in these videos! If only I just lived a bit closer to the sea I would be doing exactly that come the summer.. I especially like the Pizza and Wine anchored off a nice bay in the evening sunshine! Not at all unpleasant indeed.
Glad you like them! 🙂
That cruise ship was in Southampton at the weekend. They come into Southampton to get fuel and supplies then moor off Weymouth I believe to discharge grey water and take on water for making into fresh. Never seen Southampton so full of cruise ships. P&O, Cunard, Carnival, Tui, Fred Olsen, Saga to name a few company’s
Please do a video on the dangers and risks of boating, it looks so serene but I’m sure it is easy to get yourself into trouble, especially at sea
Seems Marianne is a speed demon...
Great part two. Onto part three! 😁
I've been on the Carnival Valor. She's a great ship! Love this video!
Don't think you're going to get your wheel back. Someone seems to have a real taste for it. Lovely vid.
Love it. There’s a few cruise ships off Weymouth and in Poole Bay too.
I've discovered your channel 1 month ago and since then I've watched a lot of your videos. They're very relaxing and satisfying. What boat should I buy? I want one small enough to cary it with the car and I live in Europe...Keep up the good work, we all love you!
Canoe
Well you might wanna set a budget first ;)
I think @JOR1S_V has a very good point, and don’t forget the 10% yearly maintenance. Which essentially means at 10 years you’ll have spent the purchase price all over again in repairs(or more). Research research research. If you’ve never owned a boat, just remember, as soon as you own a boat everyone is your friend and no one has fuel money. 🙄
Thx bob
And the other guys
Excited for the new princess Y72. Love the own boat videos. Princess f50 review if you can please.
These two videos are so inspiring, informative and entertaining! I am still a land lubber but am tempted to put a foot in at some point. Keep doing the videos they are superb. 🙏
Nice dry ride Nick!
“Foot down, right?”
“Yep, always”
Just as I thought the first one was the best ... wow you're really spoiling us. This is motivating me to work harder! Thanks Nick!
You're welcome! :)
Absolutely love these vids.
My missus and I are fortunate enough to live in Hervey Bay Australia and we get dolphins , turtles and other marine life all year round plus humpback whale season which you have to see to believe.
We go out on charter boats 2 or 3 times a month and while it's great we always think it would be better to have our own boat so we can spend as much time on the water as we can plus do the occasional overnighter.
So we have decided to get a boat next year. Watching all your vids keeps us really motivated..
Especially liked the one on costings as we will be mooring our boat. Only live 5 mins from our marina.
Won't be the greatest or biggest boat but just being on the water is all we are after.
We find it the most relaxing thing to do.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers from Australia.
Awesome, good luck with it! 🙂
Thank you very much for a delightful day out. Much appreciated during the tedium of lockdown.
Well done for passing the sailing boat down wind and far enough away.
Your boat appears to be remarkably dry at speed.
My East Coast (sailing) skipper is launching soon, but jaunts across to Holland are off the radar for a while.
You can feel and smell the sea in your videos. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
I have to say she is a really good crewman!
A+ for the first video & A++ for the second.
Gorgeous bay.
Thank you kindly!
So uplifingly enjoyable, thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I saw your boat in the harbour keep on making amazing videos.
That last beach is my fav place in the world. I come from Coventry and can't wait to get back there
Nick, nicely shaved again Gillette is happy to have you back on board again ✌️ great vid again. Like seeing you on the smugglers 2 and your boating adventures 😁
Your lovely couple thank you for sharing and teaching boating 1&2 videos.
This one made me smile....lovely
Been watching your vids for a while now! Love all you do and you gotta do more 2020 princess model videos!!!!😄😄😄
Spent many holidays on Oddicombe Beach, hiring a beach hut, sadly all gone now as it’s a little unsafe now, the cliff is eroding away. Would love to buy a little sports cruiser. Great video Nick.
So once again you take us on lovely and highly informative tour.. love it 😎
American spelling of Valour like harbour no ‘u’. Nick if you guys get that excited over dolphins then not sure if you ever encountered Humpbacks or Killer Whales while out on an afternoon tour. Might be an epic reaction lol. Maryann is like the Sterling Moss of water-crafts, hang on Nick for the ride. I love the fact on water the UK drives on the RH side (I guess international rules) but the LH side on land. You & the Mrs really show what boating is all about when you live near the sea. Well done 👍.
Not yet!
What a way to spend an afternoon...cuddled up on a boat in the Sun.......Sun...flippin' storms in cork today! Thanks Nick.
Legends say that Uncle Nick will come up with a new superyacht video...
If I could get abroad!
To bad TH-cam doesn’t have heart button. That is a lovely video.
Wow how good is it to drop anchor in a bay and relax with the misses its like a floating water front home anywhere
A couple of “Love is” moments there.
This is a man and women that are truly happy. I've only being following all your videos for a couple of months now and I seem to be having a complete yearning to have boating in my life, its seems no matter the size of boat from paddle board to superyacht and so much in-between that the life style of boating can give you a complete new look on life and work/leasure balance. I am so happy for you both and look forward to following your journey, you are truly blessed man and you deserve it all. Thank you.
You're very kind :)
Oh how you spoil us Nick. Bravo 👏🏼
Great video Nick, a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing.
In this series, seen the first; seen the best!
Totally agree with CribCrazy, this is why I need a boat. Bobbing about on the water how idyllic. Another great video to make me jealous lol.
Beautiful place
That was lovely, almost as good as being there yourself, thanks Nick.
PS: you earned some Brownie Points letting The Boss take the wheel too 😉😆
Thanks for that!
Love your boat. Very nice and well kept 👍
Thank you! 👍
Great new vids, and there's one item I'd like to point out. You didn't explain the need to switch on the engine bay blower fan prior to startup. Glad you both had a great day out on the water!
There isn't one - diesel boat
@@AQUAHOLIC Ahh, ok, that makes sense then.. I do see blowers on a lot of diesel boat engine rooms tho.. I assume those are just to circulate fresh air while the engine(s) are running when the boat's stationary?
really enjoy these videos
Glad you like them!
what a great day out in the sea air and spray !
Carnival Valor. 110,000 ton Conquest class cruise ship. I've sailed on two of her sisters (Carnival Freedom and Carnival Glory) and had wonderful times on them.
Funicular is the term you were looking for, however, what you identified in Babbacombe is not a funicular. For it to be a funicular it has to one track, two cars and half way along there will be a split into two tracks to allow the cars to pass.
Awesome...thank you so much for sharing all the nice videos that looked like fun...you got me addicted to boats now I want one...I’m from Croatia you should go cruise there so much to see ....keep up great work Nick 👍
I have done, it's beautiful!
i really love these 2 videos, its more of vlog time vid and i am really in to those, great vid keep it up and i honestly would love to see more of these kinds videos in the future!!
I’ve been on that cruise ship right after a hurricane went through the Bahamas. Let me tell you that thing will rock about.
I had a dolphin swim right under my paddleboard one time. Probably about a foot under me. I could have reached out and touched him if I wanted but I didnt want to spook him or anything. First I just saw the dorsal and had a bit of a panic but once I realized it was a dolphin it was amazing
Very very lovely Nick, you've worked damn hard, enjoy every second whilst you can.
It's so nice to start the day with an Aquaholic video, such beautiful surroundings, from some of the best of the UK coastline.
I am still being sheilded roll in 1st July, I hope it won't be extended.
Reading Cornwall councils notices regarding holidays there this year does not bode well. I can't get to Italy, can't get to France abfmd now can't even get to our place in Cornwall, not happy at all!!
So please keep on doing your stuff, I love the walks that you do and the on the water missions!
You are indeed very lucky!
That big cruise ship looks absolutely horrible, I love big M/Y and S/Y but this monstrosity, Yuch! Been on one and swore In would never ever go on one again.
Anyway you and Marianne, keep in the best if health. Thanks
HOpe it all comes good for you!
am glad there is a second part thanks a lot
And a third! :)
So calming!
I’ve been looking at those cruise ships myself - mentally planning a trio out around them - I am the other side of the Orestone from you 👍👍
Man I love your videos👊😎
Can you do one with cooking, evening, lights on, maybe in accomodation, waking up
Once we're allowed to stay on board again
Looks really like Croatia. 🤗👍🏻
Love the way she rides the waves. What an amazing boat. A very nice way to spend the day. Your a very lucky couple. I enjoyed every second of it. Love from Canada. Stay safe.
Hey there Canada! :)
A pal of mine used to crew for one of the two super yachts owned by that cruise liners family who have one SY base in Miami. The owner also owns a basketball team!
But I bet you two had more fun in one sunny day on Smugglers than a billionaire on his yacht, sat on his own watching basketball on a big tv. Cheers
Is the billionaire bankrupt yet?
【ΤΗΞ ΙηΣ】 ΑζΤΞΚδ looking like it will go that way, as who wants pay to be boxed in on a big boat for a cruise and catch a bug like Covid!
What a very pleasant way to spend your day 👍🏻
So jealous now going on my little 2533 for 3 weeks on the shannon still lust after your boat
Vids like these are such an inspiration.
Just love your tours nick, I live just about as far away from the ocean as one can. Yet your videos have me dreaming of boating. Thanks for the little glimpse into your personal boating experience with your better half.
Great rig!
Yay, another nice video. See you got a second unit to get some shots of the boat in action 👍
Breifly!
I'd quite like to live in one and just sail around the UK.
Hey just wanted to say thanks for these videos, I made a suggestion for more information like this a few weeks ago and I really appreciate seeing it. Thank you!
You're very welcome! :)
Fabulous... great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful Boat
Lovely absolutely lovely
For some reason I have recently gotten interested in boating, these videos only help 2 confirm my interest 😁😍
Go for it! 😃
