Freedom Mine

Half of the 27.7 million tons of lignite coal mined in North Dakota in 2016 came from The Coteau Properties Company’s Freedom Mine north of Beulah. That’s not unusual. The Freedom Mine has a history that dates back to the mid-1980s of being the state’s biggest lignite mine. In fact, it is the largest lignite mine in the United States.

I toured the dragline for the Freedom mine in the winter of 1982 while the dragline was being completed, and worked on the construction of the Great Plains Coal Gasification Plant during construction.

As a former bituminous coal worker (seller, marketeer) lignite is pretty shitty. It is what Green (sic) Germany mines.

My daughter owns property that they are mining on, she gets 38 dollars a year. In my personal opinion they are theives but he looks happy!

She obviously does not own the mineral rights . Instead of complaining and calling successful businesses employing 400 people a thief just go get the lease and sub lease it to them.. She is being rewarded on her effort which is zero. You are being rewarded on your effort which is zero. I have never heard of anyone buying a property without mineral rights crying they are not getting paid for something they dont own. Instead of being like every tom dick and harry whining someone wont give you free money, go lease a coal lease you find and sub lease it to them and make 10's of millions. The internet gives you the same information they have they are just picking up the phone and creating opportunities and you are sitting home crying about your daughter not getting money from a rain cloud. That's why there is a gap in your income. mainly because your mindset. Change your victim based mindset and change your destiny. A good man leaves wealth for his children's children is what the bible says!
