    Thank you all so much for the tuning and awesome customer service! The car feels amazing and has seen over 4 mph increase on average in the 1/4 mile so far. I’ll be back for that heads and cam package ASAP

    Solid gains for both hp and ft-lbs. Probably not too expensive at this point but good ROI.

    I did the flex fuel tune on c8 and I love it. Huge gains. It’s a completely different car. The real blame for the high price is GM and regulations. They made it very hard to unlock the ECU. Going forward I would imagine GM will make every ECU this difficult.

    You will be surprised what 488 rwhp can do at the drag strip sir. I am around 430 rwhp with minor bolt-ons and no headers and no flex fuel E85. My car ran 10.95@123.64. So we are talking 50 more rwhp than my car. That car is capable of running 10.60s or better with drag radials. Quite expensive.....yes

    Interesting… I’d read the OEM tables will push for knock all the way up to 100 octane advance tables, so no tuning would be necessary to get the benefit from an E30 blend. Is this running more than E30 and had the fuel specific gravity modified or some other means to richen the AFR to account for less energy density?

    • @ParagonPerformance
      @ParagonPerformance  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We've found it will seem to max out the timing even on good 93oct. We tested with some higher octane fuel and didn't see appreciable gains. Ethanol however will naturally increase power a bit due to its cooling properties leading to a denser air charge in the cylinder so E30 can/will gain a bit on its own. A good portion of the extra WHP we gain on E85 comes from this effect. The other bit comes from being able to advance ignition a bit more and run a bit leaner on fueling.

    Is that a Tera pump you guys are using for your E85? Have you had any leaks/problems with it?

    • @ParagonPerformance
      @ParagonPerformance  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The fuel system is completely stock on this car. We don't have a need to upgrade for a naturally aspirated car.

      @@ParagonPerformance Gents, I meant the pump you used to fill up the C8 via the barrel.

    I would never start screwing around with tuning if the gain was 30+ That's a whole nuther rabbit hole.

      Sorry, I (Graham) was not very clear in the video as we were just shooting something quick while the customer waited. The stock base line is 435 whp on our dyno typically so there was 23 whp gained on 93oct and then ANOTHER 30 whp gained with E85 for a total of 53 whp gained all in all. Still might very well be not quite worth it for some folks for the price point and we understand. We wish the ECM unlock wasn't needed for these cars as that really drives the overall cost up but its unfortunately needed to get started with tuning on these cars.

    I hope your right. I just spent $20 k on a magnason, headers, CAI… making 580rwhp 91 Oct running low 11,s before mods. Hoping for mid 10’s.. I’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t.

    +30hp is a nice gain just with fuel & headers n intake! 458 is nice

    As a C8 owner, this platform is terrible if your goal is to add power. A bolt-on + e85 C8 making 50 whp over stock is embarrassing… Fantastic car. Horrible platform for modifications.

      Go listen to Gwatney Performance heads cam & flex fuel build. He explains WHY its hard to gain hp tq on the LT2 engines

    • @ParagonPerformance
      @ParagonPerformance  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yeah, it is certainly not a good platform when comparing on a dollar to HP level but if you are a true Corvette enthusiast, we do the best we can to maximize your dollar when comes to performance. Unfortunately having to get the ECM unlocked through a very complex process drives up the initial cost of tuning a lot more than folks are used to on some platforms.

    • @boywonderrr71
      @boywonderrr71 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@ParagonPerformance Gwatney Performance made a good observation that the LT platform doesnt make the huge gains like the LS due to already having a better cam profile, heads, and stock intake. But when we add the full bolt ons they like you got solid gains of I think about 80hp-100hp with bolt ons and heads n cam. Then again just add a 2650, Procharger or TT for 150+ without any bolt ons is also an option which is my dilemma. Do I go full bolt on's w/heads cam or mild bolt ons and 2650? $20k vs 35k? Its hard decision or Get a C8 Z06 and keep it stock except Eventuri and TB's and keep the warranty? very hard to choose. Keep up the great content and I hope that HP Tuners gets the TCM unlocked before C9 arrives.

      @@boywonderrr71 agreed, the price for any upgrades are so high that its hard to tell which route to go. My e-ray is 114K.. there are many base c-8s around that price. If someone knows they will want more power I would go that route. instead of blowing the warranty off the bat. I knew I wanted more HP so I went up but got a lesser trim. Even if I want a little more some simple bolt on will be enough. Im not planning on doing 9s. lol

      @@joem7755 I'm seriously considering the Eray. I LOVE the Z06s screaming FPC but the way I wan it built it'll be $145+ ouch! 3LZ HTC Riptide w/blue interior, comp seats, stealth & lift. Add 8k for CS breaks on Z06 its about $148-152k.
      I may have to do like u said 2LZ Eray HTC no lift, stealth GT1 seats. Do heads cam & full bolt ons for extra 100hp 65tq and MUCH better sound. The Z51/ERAY stock sound is so muted. Nothing like the C7. If I am able to get a job, been retired for awhile medical, 100 VA disability. I will be able to get whatever I want, if not able then maybe used C8. Seen 1 14k miles for $68k 2020 blue on blue couoe. Add 2650 Lingenfelter kit & new tires & wheels and good to go.
