That’s a great question! @zz.uurrcc. Any modification can potentially void a factory warranty, but it really depends on the situation. For example, if the oil cooler had a defect-like a hole-that caused the engine to lock up due to oil starvation, it likely wouldn’t be covered under warranty. However, in this specific case, the oil cooler kit has only slight differences compared to the Ford kit. Key metrics, like oil pressure, remain solid, and oil temperatures still reach over 220°F, allowing contaminants to evaporate properly. I personally don’t see how this could negatively affect the engine, and I believe my local dealer would likely agree. Thanks for commenting!
@zz.uurrcc It maintains an average temperature between 230-240°F, which is ideal. I haven’t tested it on the track yet, but I expect peak temperatures to reach around 245°F.
@ hmm interesting,so if im able to keep my s650 maximum at 245-250 after steeping on it for a little i should be fine with out an oil cooler? fyi i dont track or barely step on my car like that, thank you for the info once again
