      I saw that one too. I'm just kidding . This is so beautiful. I can smell the ocean and ancient forest. My ancestors logged in Union bay, my great uncle ran the railroad machinery. That is my happy place.

    Again, I have to comment! So my dad passed away in early 2019 at Qualicum Beach. He lived out West for most of my life with myself living in Eastern Canada. I never did get to see these areas on the West side of Vancouver Island and really thought I'd never now being that my Dad as the reason I'd visit there and all. Anyways I can't thank you enough for being the one to show me cause I really knew what I'd see is EXACTLY what I thought and man it's even more than I thought! That point no point area is @ WOW beyond words! The wall of green, the mussels on the rocks...rolling wave sounds which I nearly fell asleep in my chair too...unimaginable! Go Canada!

    You are making my wife and I very homesick!I We moved from Vancouver Island to Alberta 8 years ago. Heading toward a weekend of near freezing temperatures during the overnight in our RV just north of Calgary. Oh! And no leaves on the trees yet!

    I spent a week working out of the Empress back in the 80’s and loved what little I got to see. The local folks are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met too. Thanks again for the great videos.

    What an excellent video! Just spectacular topography and you have managed to capture the essence of your beautiful coastal terrain in such lovely quiet descriptions! We're up late refining our PNW trip fleeing the desert heat and hoping to make it to Vancouver to experience it and accept some very generous offers to visit newly formed friendships made over the winter with some of your countrymen.

    About 10 or so years ago, I took a repositioning cruise out of Vancouver in the fall that stopped in Victoria. I opted to take a trip on something called the Alberni Pacific Railway. They took you up to a historical village which featured a working lumber mill. The amount of effort needed to saw a simple 2 x 4 is incredible! The island is quite beautiful.

      Port Alberni is a nice place, I've camped around there many times but haven't taken the train, sounds cool. Cheers, Ray

    Thanks Ray for sharing these moments. Was hoping to get to Vancouver Island this year. Not in the cards though so will plan b=fir next year for sure. Really helpful seeing the many options visiting the Island. You were especially lucky to have such a beautiful day too. Keep up the good work!

    You guys should document a summer trip north in Canada. Go up the Cassiar or the Alaska Highway to the Yukon! Visit Dawson City! It's so full of Canadian history and the landscape on the way is monumentally astounding! Learn about the geology and history and love Canada!

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, we would like to do a Yukon trip, lately, though there have been some large fires in the BC interior, judging by the weather patterns could be another bad summer season.

    Great couple of videos. I got out to Vancouver Is a couple times back in the 80's to visit a friend in Duncan. I was very impressed with the Canadian people, they seemed to be way more at peace with themselves and nature, I guess living in such a beautiful natural surrounding does that. "cheers".

    Berry nice! Unfortunately the last time we camped the island, it was rain, rain, rain! Nice to see it all sunny! Makes me want to come back and make Canada green....with my money.

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep, makes those trees grow nice and big but the rain has ruined many a camping trip. Back when I tented I got really good at tarping the camp. ;) Summers are generally pretty good.

      believe it or not vancouver island is just fantastic, with tall snow capped mountains, rugged canyons, isolated retreats with hidden free campsites and fancy pay sites as well...it will keep you busy with discoveries for a life time

    • @LoveYourRV
      @LoveYourRV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, much of Vancouver Island is mountainous, not as high as the Rockies or BC coast range but still some that are high enough for a ski resort, up in the Comox area there is even a glacier. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vancouver_Island_Ranges

    On a long (changing scenes) camera Pan try a very quick dissolve out..and a quick dissolve in.
    It makes the transition soo. much smoother.

      Oh man I was dreading hearing about Angie cause I really haven't watched many of your vids and just noticed that in a few she's not there. Long story short I just lost my little Angel Boogie whom happened (btw I'm from Ontario) to walk with me for a month in the rain forests around Qualicum Beach and in Cathedral Grove! I stuffed her in a travel crate carry on and we both flew out. Man I miss my little partner...

    You are very fortunate .
