    Would prefer more time with what to see and do. Less for an extensive tour of your particular AirBNB,,,

    I was one of the lucky ones as I grew up in Ucluelet, my family arrived there back in 1906 and are very well known to the area. Beautiful place to raise a family and be in touch with nature! Tofino has always been a real transiete town not like Ucluelet where it is more family oriented.

      I want to retire in Ucluelet , in a couple of years on my Canada pension and a few dollars I have in savings .Would I be able to live in my van in Ucluelet or will I be hassled ?

    • @88_TROUBLE_88

      @@Jay-vr9ir you'll be hassled living in a van ANYWHERE on earth, especially near resorts or within resort communities.. Just a reality.

      Many people live full time in campsites in vans, houses are extremely expensive but obviously no internet or plumbing isnt for everyone.

    Was there 40 years ago. Did West Coast Trail. Amazing memories. Timeless beauty. Have lunch at a restaurant on the beach, looking out over the beach. The memory will stay with you, a lifetime.

    We honeymooned in Tofino. I've found Tofino to be more accessible than Ucluelet but haven't been in many years and things may have changed? Will have to check out other accommodations next time we visit. I love it there.

    Nanaimo is a beautiful city of over 100 thousand people with beautiful parks, beaches and a beautiful harbour. Port Alberni is a nice little town as well. The Island has way more to offer than just Tofino.......lol Sadly its always the tourist traps that get all the attention.

    I found that the best thing to do is if you don't want to surf, just drive to there on the morning and come back in the evening, it's Mainly for surfers. The trails are the same and you can go on very nice trails in the island other than tofino and enjoy it. But tofino is qay way overrated.

    Considered Home of Northern Rain Surfing Globaly but actually incorrect as this Growing Popularo was actually started in the Wyld River Outkets of the Entire Regional During Storms and Romning Wynds, Considered the Golden Island of Rains and Lore, All Juan and Gwan is in perfect Balance, unfortunately high growing population concerns although quite moderate and legal are a reality, Being such a spirytually important location, the Locals could be considered almost militant unfriendly and unreported Manslaughter is quite common, Proffesionala Koral is the saying to match The No Worries saying of the rainburst Territories, which is growing movement among the ocean cities and locations, to such an extent that someone found to be annoying is instant legal grounds for disarmament, although an extremely beautiful place to live, currently number four globally, it is best left to the indigenous, People of Concern, and the Odd All-star Surfer, as these waves will stun and amaze a true Wet Tale. Declared Harmony Land by the Spirit Freedom Olesono, for it's importance to the 40 Northern Koral Retalliation Project

    • @88_TROUBLE_88
      @88_TROUBLE_88 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I were there and treated badly by the locals, they'd have a very different experience with trying to disarm and disappear me.. I'm not so quick to capitulate and the people who you speak of that are getting away with that type of menacing are only sliding by due to the inherent sissyness of vacationers in general.. Attempting to menace a person like me would have very different consequences and might wind up extincting the remaining population of that group if their menacing were treated differently than just capitulation from the victim of that horseshit. But rest easy, since although I initially found the natural beauty of the area intriguing, I lost interest after realizing how very geared towards vacationers and tourists the overall vibe comes across as.. Looks like just another cookie cutter naturally beautiful place ruined by greed and elitism, not unlike say, Aspen or Telluride. These types of places, although gorgeous, are ruined by the elitism and generally unwelcoming attitudes of their local populace not to mention the oversaturation of corporate greed which leaves streaks of greasy fingerprints all over EVERYTHING. Piss on em, I say. Keep your Starbucks drive thru of a community and let me know how that works out for ya in 30 years 👍🏻

    I wish the politicians who are in charge on the island would grow a pair and make the island autonomous to stop the influx of criminal street types flooding Victoria and the whole island. You could then simply pass legislation that would state that unless you own property, rent property, work full time here, own or run a business here, have a vested interest financially in the island, you cannot come here and become a street person and negatively influence the growth and present safe state of the population living here. Stay on the mainland and leave our beautiful island to grow and welcome people who are only a positive influence on this treasure and not an impairment to it's allure and appeal to tourism and business. Nearly all the street types here are coming over on the ferries and ruining it for all the hardworking citizens who have to deal with this useless element in Canadian society. Take our island back and put the restrictions in place now.
