- British Columbia (BC) sits between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains and is the westernmost province of Canada. It's known to be the most beautiful and diverse province in the country, ranging from rugged coastlines to immense mountain ranges and lush rainforests full of wildlife. In this video we'll show 14 incredible places you have to visit in BC.

Whistler is a resort town in western British Columbia. It's Canada's most famous skiing and snowboarding destination.
13. Garibaldi Provincial Park
Located about 30 km or 18.6 mi to the south of Whistler, Garibaldi Provincial Park is known for its natural beauty and its endless hiking opportunities.
12. the Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is located north of Vancouver along the Strait of Georgia in British Columbia. It is a 180 km or 112 miles stretch of paradise, surrounded by sandy beaches and mountains.

7. Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park
Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park is a true hidden gem in the Canadian Rockies and British Columbia. Filled with sparkling glacial lakes and awe-inspiring alpine meadows, it's one of our favorite areas to hike in Canada.
6. Vancouver Island
Located off the southwestern mainland of BC, Vancouver Island stretches for 460kms, from British Columbia's thriving capital of Victoria in the south to Cape Scott's wilderness and beaches in the north.

You were correct at the very end about there being tons of more comparable places to visit in BC, but your selections were excellent in this video, and I really like your relaxed and easy-going narration. If you were to do an expanded or part 2 version of this video may I suggest remote and hugeTweedsmuir Provincial Park, the ferry route along the Inside Passage coastal waterway from northern Vancouver Island to Prince Rupert just south of the Alaska panhandle, The Fraser and Thompson River Canyons along highway 1 from the town of Hope to the interior city of Kamloops, and for the truly adventurous, a guided group horseback or river raft experience in one of northern BC's giant wilderness parks where you will not see another human for weeks.......... almost guaranteed !

I live in the interior of BC, the amount of hikes, attractions, and parks is a lot more than anyone can do in their lifetime. Every year I keep finding new really amazing places that are known by almost nobody. The possibilities here are endless

I live on Vancouver island, love the interior and have thought about moving there many times...easier on the arthritis too.
I'm pretty sure there are places in BC that no human has seen in hundreds of years and maybe even some that have never been seen by a human at all.

@@worldwildhearts One place that freaked me out a bit was the old mining town of Bralorne. It's roughly the same distance from Vancouver as Kamloops. It takes about 4 hours to go from Van to Kam. It can take up to 24 hours to get to Bralorne, depending on time of year and conditions...
We live in the West Kootenay region of B.C., and there is never a shortage of gorgeous scenery. I am constantly saying that we live in the most beautiful place in the world.

I live just north of Victoria on beautiful Vancouver Island and know how incredibly lucky I am. I have absolutely no need to leave the island for vacations as there’s an abundance of camping, hiking, exploring and all-round magical fun. When I feel the need to leave the island on one of our majestic ferries I’m still in the greatest place on earth…..British Columbia.️

I'm from Powell River and I never see it listed on any BC videos-a total shame because it's a beautiful town with friendly people, amazing beaches, and some of the best hiking in the province. I'm glad you had a good time here and I hope other people come to visit!
lived in BC Vancouver for three years and I miss it so incredibly much. Unfortunately had to leave but I hope to be back soon so I can explore more of this beautiful place. Truly felt like home there, especially the nature and the people are great too

You’re from a beautiful province! We loved our time in BC and hope to go back again one day soon
Just so folks know, the Mt Robson trail to Kinney and Berg Lakes etc is closed for 2022 due to the flooding last year after the heat dome snow melt event. Hoping the trail and bridges there will be rebuilt for next year. Other places in the park are open.
Did those trail in 90-94 a ton when lived in Jasper. One time did them on LSD during a Full Moon at Berg Lake. It was Amazing. What a great era 80’s to mid 90’s when Hiking and backcountry stuff was just a thing lazy hippy types did. We had it to ourselves and no reserve were needed. Free! And for all. Isn’t that what nature should be?

Wow! Incredible photography and great suggestions! I have a few more: the Slocan River Valley near Nelson - beautiful in the summer and with a number of cool ghost towns; and Northern BC - especially the area around Terrace.

I’m born and raised in BC. I’ve been to many of the same places as you. You guys show awesome places to visit but the truth is living here……kicks ass too! I’m heading to Tofino on Vancouver island for the first time later this month. Stoked
I’ve lived in BC most of my life. Currently living in the countryside of Japan for the past 11 years. But, can’t wait to return to BC! Planning on returning within 2-3 years. BTW, Tofino is absolutely gorgeous. Been to Tofino many times. Our family even camped on Long Beach in the 70s when camping on the beach was allowed. Enjoy your trip. A super magical place.

Amazing places and awesome video! Canada is such a beautiful country. I was fortunate enough to visit Banff and Lake Louis in 2019 before the pandemic and have been wanting to go back to explore more of Canada. I haven't managed to find my way off Vancouver Island since 2010. Moved here from the Interior, really small places, in 2000. Now in the Cowichan Valley.
We moved from Southern Ontario to the North Okanagan , we love it here. Great list and hopefully we will be seeing the other places on it we haven't been yet.

Your list of wonderful places in BC indeed captures many incredible sites. However, you have not ventured into the north of the province! It too is blessed with world class sites. For example, the Muskwa-Kechika wilderness area is known globally as the Serengeti of the north due to its magnificent wildlife populations. Many more adventures and awe inspiring scenes await those who venture north!

Nobody ever thinks the North has anything to offer. Yet it is the most gorgeous place ever. Lakes, rivers, waterfalls, wild animals… the most amazing place on earth. That’s ok tho, we’ll keep our north un explored;)
