When I close my eyes and listen I’m still hearing a man in his 20’s Father Time has nothing on him his voice is pure as ever. This is the first video I’ve seen that shows him in his mature state great job you two
I was about 14 when I first heard Jackson's music...I'm 65 now and after countless concerts and albums over the years, his music is still so special to me. I'll look forward to more of your reactions to his music - his songs are so personal and yet so universal at the same time. I write my own songs now, and if my lyrics ever measured up to his, I'd be overjoyed!
Love you guys! Once more..."These Days" written by Jackson when he was 16. One of everybody's favorites. I would listen to the early studio version first and the live versions when he was older later.
It's true that one gets awash in the wisdom of JB in such a performance, but then if you pause and reflect on his lyrics as a young man, he came in to his wisdom early --- and gifted it to us.
I have always considered Jackson Browne to be, amongst other things, a POET. His lyrics are pure poetry to me. The fact that he is able to put his poetry to music constantly amazes me. He really shines when he sits at a piano and performs acoustically. His lyrics seems to have even more meaning when it is performed in that setting. Great reaction. Thank you... Take care..
Still as great as when I first started ❤loving his music 🎶 🎵 in the 70's 😅. PEACE✌️ and Love❤️ your 70 year old forever hippie Gary😊 great reaction 🤣 " Doctor my Eye's" next pleas🥺
J.B. has carved with his pen and instruments a corner in music's room for himself. He plays a few notes or says a few words and you know who it is, even when others cover his songs. it has his seal etched in the song. gigantic talent
Fantastic lockdown session!!! Despite the age, a gripping voice, everything reduced to the essentials, great respect, aging gracefully with exemplary commitment👍. Song from the album Standing On The Breach 2014 before Tr... begun ...✌.
🇬🇧 Ohhh, yeah..... He's still got it. His voice sounds exactly the same as it did in the 70's. That's a bit of a tall order, but he nailed it. Beautiful 🎶🎼👌🫂
I've not heard this before. I think I could listen to him singing the ingredient on a shampoo bottle! His voice is just that pleasing when my ears are hearing it!
Jackson was an old soul at a young age. He wrote a masterpiece, called These Days, at the age of 16. It has one of my favorite lines: 'Dont confront me with my failures. I have not forgotten them.' Stay on the Jackson Browne journey. Your lives will be richer for it.
Jackson just grows wiser and more gifted as the years pass. What I noticed here, in this video that was filmed at his home, is what's behind him. Books, and more books. A man who reads books thinks quite a bit. No wonder he is so profound! I am so blessed to have discovered Jackson long ago.
I like how you said that it’s nice to see an artist from the beginning of their career and then again on the backside of their careers. When you stop and think about it you get to see the soundtrack of their life’s work and unfortunately there’s not a lot of artists we can do that with. With a lot of them passed way too early in life anyway keep up the great job that you two do. Colorado says hello by the way!
Jackson Browne & Leslie Mendelson "A Human Touch" from 5B - OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO "The documentary film ‘5B,’ is a powerful story about the nurses and doctors that revolutionized AIDS care during the 80’s." very moving
Your reactions are always authentic and insightful - I love the channel! I became a JB fan in the 90s when I was in my early 20s and many of his fans were becoming grandparents. I have seen him perform a dozen or more times since then, the last one in 2022. This underscores the transcendent breadth of his career. Walls and Doors was written and recorded in spanish by a Cuban artist (and friend of Jackson) named Carlos Varela. Jackson translated the lyrics and recorded this arrangement on Standing in the Breach but this is absolutely my favorite recording of the song.
Great lyrics. If you haven't heard Brandi Carlile perform her song THE JOKE, you're missing something special. When she played it at the Grammys, every musician present gave her a standing ovation for that song. Her lyrics are on a par with Jackson Browne. Just check out the comments to see how much that song means to so many people. (And you two are adorable!
I see you guys are interested in singer/ songwriter's amongst other acts ? If I may , id like to recommend the late ,great Dan Fogelberg performing his own composition - Hickory Grove- from the Home Free album ...it is astonishing ! Enjoy and i love your easy / oasy style of presentation ...best wishes .

He does something with music, nobody else can do! He is absolutely AMAZING!

These Days is a great early song by him.

I have always said I'd pay good money to hear him sing the phone book. 😊
Oh yeah! Agreed 👍💚

Almost 5 decades since the release of his first album. The voice is still the same, as is the heart...
During the pandemic Jackson did several videos from home. Many in support of charities and foundations. I look forward to more reactions to JB. ☮🧡🎶
